I am currently a professor of communication (public speaking, mediation & negotiation, debate, interpersonal communication and mass communications) a lover of cutting-edge beauty products. As a 12-year veteran of the entertainment industry (as an actress and model), I was able to glean tips of the trade from the experts with whom I worked. This knowledge, along with the innate sense of style passed down to me by my beloved mom, has guided my cosmetic and fashion choices ever since. I am a purveyor of both breakthrough and tried and true beauty products and would classify my personal style as unapologetically classic with an interest in both the past (the 1920’s and 1960’s are fashionably sublime) and the progressive.
This blog, which I started for pleasure directly after co-authoring a college-level public speaking textbook, aims to regularly highlight fascinating beauty finds. Living near Los Angeles allows me unbridled access to the most elusive of products and I strive to share my discoveries with all who are interested.
A little bit about my coloring and skin type…I have green eyes and am about a NC 25 for most of the year (light to light/medium with yellow undertones). I tan easily but wear sunscreen without fail and stay out of the sun as much as possible, even though I love it.
Beauty brands that I adore include: Surratt Beauty, By Terry, Le Metier de Beaute, Tom Ford, Cle de Peau, Koh Gen Do, Rouge Bunny Rouge, Edward Bess, Giorgio Armani Beauty, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel Beauty.
