My curated shopping guide for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale.

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale just started and, for the 14th year in a row–this time after carefully going through every page of the preview–I’ve completed shopping the first day in person. I’m excited to share a comprehensive look at what I picked up as well as a mindfully curated list of recommendations to help you navigate this annual shopping event. In terms of access, here is a breakdown of the dates:

July 14: Early Access for cardmembers with Icon status.
July 15: Early Access for cardmembers with Ambassador status.
On July 16: Early Access for cardmembers with Influencer status.
July 18: Anniversary Sale opens to the general public

When deciding on what to purchase, I consistently choose to focus on classic pieces that I can wear frequently and especially on campus when I return (as a full time Professor of Communication and Department Chair) at the end of August. This time around, I styled 5 specific looks, balanced by some glorious discoveries in the sunglasses and beauty departments.

Nordstrom Sale 2026: What I Bought and What’s Worth It

Look #1

Eternal Silk…during the Nordstrom sale, I always seek out the L’Agence silk shirts as they rank amongst my most worn garments all year. They are high quality and timeless and this particular color way is utterly dreamy. I paired it with a sleek pair of L’Agence straight leg, wildly elongating jeans (size 26), butterscotch suede booties (look like Khaite and feel extremely comfortable but at a much more accessible price point), which you will see in all of the looks I styled and a chic pair of Tom Ford sunglasses.

**These Tom Ford sunglasses** were love at first sight…they have a light green tint that adjusts to a deeper hue in the sunlight, making them an excellent candidate for perpetual wear.

You simply cannot go wrong with a **silk blouse** and **well-cut denim**.

// BEAUTY BREAK //

The Nordstrom Sale has a host of beauty exclusives and I picked up a few to add to my collection. The Westman Atelier Lip Edition Set features long lasting liner, velvety lipstick (worn throughout this post) and a plush gloss in a rosy pink color story. I also was drawn to the Gucci luminous blush in Arctic Rose (an insanely pretty cool baby pink with plenty of glow) and know I’ll be reaching for it all summer long. Finally, I love how silky and hydrating the Prada lip balms are (who remembers the original version–circa 2014–that came in a tube?!) and purchased Guava (stunning color payoff) and the often sold out Banana (a subtle take on the frosted lip trend) shades.

The **Gucci luminous blush in Arctic Rose** instantly brightens the face with a lit-from-within glow that looks inordinately natural.

Look #2:

Pleats and Stripes…preppy and traditional, these pleated trousers (size 6) have a flowing fit that feels so right for fall and, when coupled with a striped button-down with a clever cross-over fit, you have a classic look that will effortlessly take you from day to night.

The cross-over detailing on **this blouse** is brilliant.

Look #3:

Relaxed but Still Polished…I couldn’t resist this Polo v neck (size medium) because it’s 100% cotton and completely effortless. It can be dressed up when worn with trousers like above but can also take a pared down turn with shorts or jeans. Joey’s dress is also Polo and the knit is sturdy but still creates a spinny skirt when coaxed.

Look #4:

Casual Neutrals…I liked the gray Polo v neck so much that I picked one up in camel as well. It made sense to combine it with these super soft Polo jogging pants which I may wear way too often. Booties with jogging pants? Let’s do it! Joey’s look involves a matching striped Polo set…too adorable.

Look #5:

Denim on denim…I paired this deep indigo denim shirt with straight leg jeans and tossed on a flannel from one of my favorite brands (currently on sale!). There’s just something about a Canadian tuxedo that always makes stylistic sense to me. Joey embraced her own take on denim with wide-leg jeans, a striped tank and a Ralph Lauren cardigan draped over her shoulders, naturally.

**These sunglasses** have a light green tint that adjusts to a deeper hue when in the sun (I predict that they WILL sell out soon) and I can’t get enough of this **glowy cool pink blush**.
