15 Products to Pick Up During The Beautylish Gift Card Event
// BASE +FACE //
For complexion, I am wildly impressed with the freshly launched *Danessa Myricks Beauty Yummy Skin Serum Foundation (worn in in 11G in the images throughout this post). Because it offers dewy, skin-like coverage, I think I expected to need to use at least a dime sized amount but let me tell you, this formula is very concentrated. Truly a pea-sized amount provided medium to full coverage that looks remarkably natural and glowing. The squeeze bottle is innovative and allows for precise control of distribution of the product and the shade 11G is perfect for my medium olive skin. The foundation itself leaves skin looking super smooth and hydrated and it wears well (even in hot weather) all day long. Highly recommended!
Bronzer
Cheekbones are easily sculpted with a combination of the *Sisley Phyto-Touche Illusion d’été Bronzer (forever a favorite…try it, you won’t regret it) and the stunning *Surratt Les Soleils Coupe de Genie, which includes a rosier brown bronzer and incandescent peach-meets-champagne highlighter for touchups on the go. To finish the look, I adore the *Chantecaille Cheek Shade in Bee, which is a warm peachy pink pop of color for the apples of the cheeks. It’s one of those shades that looks good on everyone and the small compact is an ideal companion for your handbag or clutch.
// EYES //
One of the quickest ways to update your look for spring and summer is via eyeshadow. I’ve rounded up options that span the spectrum of warm to cool with plenty of textures and finishes along the way.
Up first is the *Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Creme Tiger Eye. Featuring a brand new crease-resistant cream texture, this quad has radiant bronze and peach tones along with a rich velvety brown. It’s a neutral lover’s dream and will flatter all skin types and coloring (and worn in the images at the end of this post).
Next, is the innovative *Hindash Beautopsy Palette, which is bundled with an exquisite liquid liner that glides on and stays put. This palette has six pans of buttery multipurpose powder, each in an ombre form for limitless options. Smooth and blendable, the powders can adeptly create a full face–from contour and highlight to blush and eyeshadow–in mere minutes. It’s a minimalist design with maximum potential.
Eyeshadows
In the cream shadow realm, I am smitten with the new *RMS Eyelights in Halo and Flare. The creamy gel texture imparts intense color payoff with a luminous finish and, once set, these shadows do not crease, flake or transfer…so impressive for a brand that is a pioneer in clean beauty. Halo is a cool pinky lilac (worn in the images at the end of this post) and Flare is a true bronze with gold undertones.
Finally, the *Natasha Denona Pastel Palette, undeniably, is the palette of the season. Brimming with 15 satin, metallic and matte finish shades, this palette makes pastels incredibly wearable and sophisticated. As the single pass swatches below indicate, the formula is pigmented and smooth and the wear–as is the case, in my experience, with all Natasha Denona shadows–is extremely flawless and long lasting. I can’t wait to create looks with this…stay tuned on my Instagram for a glimpse of how I use it soon! Swatches of the *Tom Ford Eye Color Quad Creme Tiger Eye in direct sunlight.
// HAIR //
I am already such a fan of the T3 Volumizing Hot Rollers (reviewed HERE) and recently starting using the *T3 Detangling Duo. This brush and comb work to gently release tangles (even on wet hair) without contributing to hair fall. I use the comb in the shower to distribute conditioner and masks through my tresses and the brush post-shower to detangle my hair before hair drying. For continued styling without damage, the *Slip Silk Midi Silk Scrunchies are nothing short of wonderful. They securely hold hair (even a thick high ponytail ) without breakage and effortlessly slip out at the end of the day. Full disclosure: once you use them, they may ruin you for all other hair ties/scrunchies!
// LIP COLOR //
I love that an array of Jill Stuart Beauty is available at Beautylish; the brand is so opulent and feminine. The *Lip Contour and Blur Liner in Warm Pink has a velvety smooth texture that blends out smoothly to extend the natural lip line and the shade itself is a creamy rose that works so well under a sheer and shiny lipstick, like the *Jill Stuart Beauty Bloom Couture Rouge Lip Blossom Petal Glow. 103 is a glimmering orange and 105 is a radiant baby pink…I wore a lip mix involving all three products in the images at the end of this post.
The following images reflect all products in action in natural light…
// STYLE NOTES //
LPA Sweetheart Bodysuit
I love the cut of this bodysuit; it’s opaque and supportive with slightly padded shoulders and the sweetheart neckline has boning so everything stays in place all day. Also, I picked it up in a size small and it fits like a glove.
Levi’s classic cutoffs
I’ve had these for a couple of years and still wear them all the time. They hit mid-waist and and are short but not too short. Absolute classics (wearing in a size 27, though, if I bought them today, I’d size down to a 26).
Dior sandals
I wear these super soft gems a couple of times a week to give my feet a break between long days back in heels. They are cushiony and luxe and match everything…a splurge about which I have zero regrets.
–Shop the Post–
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this look at my selections from the Beautylish Gift Card Event (running now through Sunday 3/27) and would love to know what caught your eye…let me know if you have any questions!
Good things ahead, including a new video tutorial and some spring sunscreen favorites. Also, a peachy lipstick round up and a host of new product procurements. Cannot wait to share.
Stay strong, seek wisdom, sending love and more soon,
xx
