Introducing the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream to Powder Foundation
I’ve been taking great delight in testing the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream to Powder Foundation (also available at Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman) for nearly two months and am over the moon that it is finally available at Clé de Peau counters all over the country!
As its moniker implies, this revolutionary formula applies as a cream and dries down to a smooth and velvety powder finish that simply looks like really good skin.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the foundation in action as well as the Bottom Line…

*Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream to Powder Foundation
Full disclosure: while I adore a solid cream texture, have not tended to be a fan of cream to powder foundations in the past; the dry down can be problematic for skin with any type of texture (dryness, pores, fine lines etc.) whatsoever and I typically prefer a natural glow finish to a matte and powdery one. That being said, the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream to Powder Foundation (also available at Neiman MarcusBloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman) has changed my mind!
This highly emollient SPF 24-infused formula glides onto skin and blends out like a seamless dream. I find that it sets with a more natural (rather than pure matte) finish that allows radiance to subtly develop over the course of wear while still maintaining a fresh faced canvas. The hydrating cream texture seems to suspend over fine lines (rather than accentuating them) and blur pores for a perfected result that still looks like real skin and should I elect, even allows my freckles peek through.
Additionally, the lasting power is utterly formidable. I can get an effortless and comfortable 8-10 hours of touch up free wear, even in warm and humid weather. The technology behind the formula is noteworthy (keep reading for a full breakdown) and such innovations are evident each and every time I wear this formula. To say that I am an advocate for this foundation would be an understatement.
All in all, this foundation has exceeded all expectations (and, as an ardent lover of CdPB, they were quite elevated to begin with!). If you are in the market for a luxurious cream formula that plays well with all skin types, offers SPF protection and lasts through a long day without requiring touch ups, then I implore you to give the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream to Powder Foundation (also available at Neiman MarcusBloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman) a try…I daresay you won’t regret it!

DETAILS & CARE
What it is: A breakthrough in foundation technology, this hybrid formula offers cream and powder foundations with a weightless second-skin finish.
Who it’s for: Suitable for anyone who wants a foundation with sheer-to-medium coverage and a matte finish.
What it does: Featuring new technologies from Clé de Peau Beauté Laboratories, it responds to changes in your complexion throughout the day, allowing for effortless matte perfection. This long-lasting foundation contains super hyaluronic acid and an Illuminating Complex EX for skin that feels smooth and moisturized while SPF 24 provides defense from UV rays. New color pigment technology allows for a bright finish that enhances the skin’s natural clarity without dullness. This foundation won’t crease, cause stickiness or cake, gliding on with silky ease and hydrating like a cream. It passes through a liquid phase for exceptional adherence before finishing with the weightless, oil-controlling properties of a powder. Double blotting powder reduces natural wear caused by excess sebum and sweat for a long-lasting matte coverage. The sleek compact and airy custom makeup sponge make perfection achievable on the go.
How to use: Apply following your skin care, pre-makeup base or primer. Using a dry sponge, sweep one third of the sponge surface lightly across the foundation then apply foundation to one side of the face, gently gliding the sponge from the center of the face outward. Apply in the same manner to the other side of the face. For additional coverage, pick up a small amount of foundation with the sponge and use a gentle patting motion to layer as needed. For optimal application, keep the sponge clean by massaging it gently with a mild detergent and warm water. Rinse thoroughly.

  • Charlotte Tilbury Glowgasm Face Palette in Lovegasm (reviewed HERE): I am loving this multitasking palette to bronze, highlight and blush in seconds; it’s limited edition and selling out fast so I would recommend acting quickly if you’re interested (I already purchased a back up).
  • Tom Ford Eye Color Quad in African Violet (reviewed HERE): Perhaps my most favorite Tom Ford palette to date, I swept on the warm tones to create a sunset effect that resists creasing.
  • *Clé de Peau Beauté Intensifying Liquid Eyeliner: I applied this stalwart liner along my upper lash line to subtly define the area; once it sets, this does not budge.
  • BY TERRY Lash Expert Twist Brush Mascara (reviewed HERE): Two coats for full and lengthened lashes…still one of my favorites of life.
  • Sisley-Paris Phyto-Lip Twist in #10 Sugar (reviewed HERE): For this look, I opted for the the one of the most effortless lip possible; I’ve gone through multiple tubes of this shiny baby pink over the years and it’s always in my bag.
