I know that the above image is a odd choice to open a post on Guerlain’s famed Lingerie de Peau foundation, but I wanted to share my experience the night before I did the swatches. While on a trip with my husband to Palm Beach, Florida last month, we ate at Cafe Boulud, a French restaurant at the Brazilian Court Hotel. For the first course, I ordered what I thought was vegetable soup…I received this bold bowl of chilled green liquid and a little skewer of escargot. Sometimes a picture truly is worth a thousand words. Bon Appetite.
That aside, the next morning, before heading to the serene and sunny private beach at the Breakers, I went to the Guerlain Boutique in the hotel to swatch as much foundation as humanly possible. I have already posted my images of the Lingerie de Peau Compact Foundation and Concealer (found
HERE) and am excited to share images of its predecessor, Lingerie de Peau Invisible Skin Fusion Foundation.

Swatches of Lingerie de Peau in the shade…most of the shades tend to lean towards the neutral beige and rosy undertones. It may be difficult to find a match if you are more yellow/golden in tone! |
|
Swatches of Lingerie de Peau in direct sunlight…#12 and #13 are suitable for light to light/medium skin with pink undertones, #02 and #03 will work for light to light/medium skin with neutral to yellow undertones, #04 is great for medium/dark skin with rosy tan undertones, #05 will work for medium/dark skin with neutral undertones and #24 is suitable for dark skin with very golden warm undertones. |

Me with the kind and gracious Sylvia Mora, a Guerlain specialist in Florida. |
Bottom Line: I first used Lingerie de Peau (#3) when it was released almost two years ago. This highly-rated formula really does seamlessly fuse into your skin, has lovely medium coverage, creates a lasting satin finish, offers SPF protection and is friendly to sensitive skin. If you can get past the classic Guerlain scent (kind of like roses) and find a match for your skin tone, then I suggest giving it a try!

I love this liquid foundation too 🙂
Hello Zibbieko!
Thank you for stopping by! I am so glad to hear that you love this foundation…I have definitely gone through a bottle or two. What shade are you?
Take care,

Love this foundation, since I am a deep tan person my SA made me get the no.24, but the thing is I am currently using their Blanc De Perle whitening range and it has definitely helped me with lightening my pigmentation issues. So now I am stuck with a foundation that is waay too dark for my skin tone!! So, now I got Beige Moyen 04 to balance and lighten it up. However, this foundation is pure genius in a bottle.
Hello Deepa,
Thank you for your story! Isn't it a conundrum when the lightening of our skin requires us to mix two shades of foundation?! I have been there more times than I can count ; ) This formula is indeed exquisite…so seamless and light, yet amazing coverage!
Thanks for stopping by…do keep in touch!

Hello Karnkitty,
Thank you so much for your comments! I am so happy that my swatches have been useful for you! I think that you would be #31 Ambre Pale (which is not featured in my swatches because it was released after I did my swatches last June). #31 is a very light yellow based beige and I think it will be perfect!
Hope that helps…take care and thanks for reading!

Wow! This is the most useful review of swatches i've ever seen!!! I've been wanting to try this foundation but then i saw in a magazine the guerlain blanc de perle foundation, and absolutely fell for it! I just love foundations and powders that has pearls in it! Have you tried it? If so, how was it? And another problem i have is, the shades we have here in the philippines are very limited… i tried 01beige pale but its a bit pinkish for me, im half chinese half filipino so im really more on the yellow undertone skin side… i don't think we have the ambre shades… too bad…
Thank you, Anon! Happy to hear it ; ) I haven't tried the Guerlain Blanc de Perle but woudl like to! I highly recommend the Amber shades because they are so yellow. Maybe you can order one internationally?

Thanks for the great swatches!
Please can you advise me your best method for application of this foundation & the parure extreme? Which do you like better, extreme or lingerie de peau? Please help? Thankyou.
Hello and my pleasure!
I like applying these formulas with a dampened Beauty Blender for the most seamless finish. I most prefer the Lingerie de Peau formula, as it gives great coverage but still looks natural. The Parure Extreme is my choice when the weather is sunny, very warm and humid!
Hope that helps…xoxo,

I appreciate you swatching all shades, as a dark skinned woman your blog helped me in choosing the best shade for me. thanks again.
Thank you so much for these swatches!
I'm hoping that you can help me select the best shade for my skin tone. I'm a 6 in Armani Maestro and a BR50 in YSL Youth Liberator. Any suggestions?
I think you'll find that your closest match is #03 Beige Natural. I hope that helps!

It does! Thank you!
I'm looking for a foundation with a skin-like finish…not too matte or too dewy. I just purchased the YSL youth liverator, and while I like the look of it I find that it feel heavy on. Do you have any favorite foundations that are light feeling with decent coverage?
Hi Lauren,
With regards to your question, I really like the Cle de Peau Radiant Fluid Foundation…it was just released and I find it is the perfect blend of good coverage, a skin like finish and a very light texture. Will be fully reviewing it soon!
Hope that helps…xx,

I am a NC 20-25. What color of this foundation should I purchase? Thanks!
I suggest Beige Clair if you are closer to the NC 20…if you are closer to NC 25-27, then Beige Natural!

Thanks for the swatches. In Estée Lauder I'm a match for the Ecru. In MUFE I'm 115. What would be my match in the Guerlain Lingerie?
Hi Shelia,
Your best match would be Beige Clair!

Hi,
I'm having difficulty finding my color for this foundation. I'm a Beige 40 in Chanel Perfection Lumier, a 6 in Armani Maestro and Tawny in Estee Lauder Double Wear. I have neutral undertone, maybe a bit yellow when I tan.
Thank you for doing this!
Brenda V
Hi Brenda,
I would recommed 03 Natural Beige!
