The Sunday Riley Primsasilk Eye Color collection (retailing for $26 and sold at Barneys) is remarkable…loaded with a spectrum of shades, the shadows are saturated with finely-milled color. I settled on a select few to showcase in swatch form; in other words, this post is not an exhaustive reveal of all that Sunday Riley has to offer in this category but is intended to give you a visual sampling of some of the key shades available…
I personally bought both Fool’s Gold (one of their top sellers…a shimmery blackened olive gold) as well as Twig, which is an interesting multi-dimensional hybrid of taupe and bronze. While I love both, I am finding myself wearing Twig multiple times a week…it is a unique color that translates nicely from day to night; it is noticeable, but natural and seems to compliment the other color choices I usually make.
A close up of Fool’s Gold is below and a review of Twig is slated for a future post!
All in all, Sunday Riley Prismasilk Eye Color is meeting and exceeding expectations, one shade at at time.

This is a fantastic idea and I love your attention to details. I will for sure check back frequently for your expert product information and advice!
Thank you so much!!
Great swatches, Sunday Riley is one brand I haven't tried yet and badly want to 🙂
Thank you! I started using this brand earlier this year and have absolutely loved everything I have bought. In terms of the eye color, Twig is my absolute favorite. Do let me know if I can answer any questions about the SR line…its a new passion of mine : ) I checked out your blog and think that it is fantastic!!
Enjoy the weekend!

Great post and beautiful swatches. I haven't tried Sunday Riley eye shadows yet. I am a big fan of Burberry eye shadows. They do wonders on my sometimes oily eye lids. Do Sunday Riley shadows crease? Can you use them with out a primer? Thanks :))
Thanks, ChicScience! I have found that the Sunday Riley shadows do crease (much more than the Burberry shadows) when worn without a primer. With a primer, the wear time is better, but still not crease proof. I wear Twig wet and it has decent lasting power, but I combine it with a Beauty Is Life primer. Have you tried the Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill shadows (no creasing whatsover!) or the By Terry Ombre Blackstar shadow sticks…equally amazing in the long-wearing, no creasing department!
Have a lovely week…xoxo,

🙂 Hi again! You are so welcome. That is sad about Sunday. I also found out Le Metier creases like crazy on my lids possibly due to high mineral oil content in the formula who knows. I have Eyes to Kill #25 and yes you are absolutely right! No creasing the formula is excellent. I should not procrastinate and review it soon. I haven't tried By Terry but now you recommended I will definitely. Have a great week XO 😉
Hello ChicScience,
Anytime an eyeshadow creases, it is so frustrating…especially if you love the shade!! I am glad to know you have the Eyes To Kill…it is really the best…what's the Armani secret?! Let me know what you think of the By Terry when you try it!

Thanks for such an informative blog. I am having a hard time deciding what to purchase! I am tempted to buy the Sunday riley blush in blushing and eyeshadow in twig. However, I have started buying jouer products and I would like to stick with those because of the palette feature. The maple eyeshadow looks similar to twig on you – would that be a good alternative? Which mineral blush from jouer would be closest to blushing? Note that I have worn nars orgasm for years but am looking for something less sparkly. Thanks!
Hi Amy,
Thanks for the kind comment. I highly suggest Jouer Maple…it is often sold out due to its popularity so if you can locate it, buy it! It is similar to Twig, perhaps just a touch warmer. The mineral blush closest to blushing would be Blossom (on the lighter side) or Rose (a touch darker). Both are less shimmery than NARS Orgasm!
I hope that helps…xx,
