I have discussed the Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation here on Beauty Professor multiple times since its initial launch years ago and this week, the brand released a reformulated version that I (like many of you) have been eagerly awaiting.
Set against the backdrop of another favorite recent procurement–a Patrick Nagel “Shades” print–are swatches of 23 shades in this exquisite formula along with a full skincare, beauty and style look.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
First Look: The New Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation + 4 Style Find You’ll Always Want to Wear
The *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation boasts SPF 25 protection along with extraordinarily natural looking medium to full coverage with a velvety finish. The reformulation, if anything, has made this masterful foundation even better. The shade range has been vastly expanded and the silky texture is somehow even smoother and more skin-like in finish.
Concentrated (truly, a pea-sized amount is all that is needed to create a “full face” ) and hydrating, the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation is excellent for all ages and skin types; normal-to-dry skin in particular will appreciate its ability to imparts significant moisture and encourage balance over the course of wear. It glides over fine lines and wrinkles and resists creasing, perfecting the skin without masking its natural radiance and wearing flawlessly for hours on end. Touch ups are rarely, if ever, required and one tube will last you 4-6 months of regular usage, making it an absolutely worthy investment.
In summation, the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation is a resplendent formula that most skin types and ages will appreciate. It provides utterly pristine coverage that somehow manages to banish lines and unevenness while still looking like real skin, causing the wearer to wonder if beauty alchemy really does exist. Let me know if I can help you with a shade match!
Shades swatched below (missing BF60, B40, B90 + B70) include:
My matches are BF 50 (worn in the images at the end of this post) and O 50 (which is a hair lighter and my best fall and winter shade). Shades that start with “BF” are great for skin with true golden and olive undertones, shades with a single “B” are best for neutral to rosy skin tones and shades that begin with “O” are for skin with neutral to warm undertones.

// SKINCARE etc. //
In terms of skincare, I’ve been embracing a pared down approach that includes the ultra hydrating and cushiony Agent Nateur Holi Water (seriously nothing like it) followed by a few drops of Agent Nateur Holi Oil, which soothes, comforts and moisturizes while imparting an ethereal glow. I’ve been a diligent Agent Nateur user for the past year and a half and my skin has never been better…try the line, you won’t regret it.
For the smoothest limbs possible, the new *Kate Somerville ExfoliKate Body is a dream. The formula has the same satisfying physical exfoliants as the cult classic ExfoliKate along with enzymatic ingredients that leave skin bright and restored. I am also finding myself reaching for the feminine yet modern *Parfums de Marly Oriana EDP (the marshmallow note is truly unreal!), which feels so apropos for the spring months ahead.
// The COMPLETE FACE //
After applying a pea-sized amount of the *Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Cream Foundation (in BF 50…a spot on match for my medium olive skin), I gently sculpted my cheeks with the Tom Ford Terra Bronzer and blended a touch of the subtly incandescent *Kevyn Aucoin Neo Highlighter on the high points of my face.
For eyes, I used my finger to buff out the genius, budge-proof *Kosas 10-Second Eye Gel Watercolor Eyeshadow in Blaze, which is a perfect shimmering neutral taupe-meets-bronze ($15 and a veritable makeup bag staple…get this) and created a cat eye with the glossy and indelible *Lancome Idole Liquid Liner (zero transfer once it dries down). I recently picked up a fresh tube of Benefit Gimme Brow in #3 and forgot how much I like to quickly create volume, depth and feathery hold.
For lips, I used a bit of the glowing pink Dior lip liner in Premiere and topped with the *Kevyn Aucoin Beauty Unforgettable Lipstick in Thelmadora, which is a full coverage pinky peach nude cream with insane lasting power. I also swatched Kevyn Aucoin Fatal Shine for you below as it’s been another go-to this week.
The following images reflect all products in action in afternoon sunlight…
// STYLE NOTES // Four pieces that you’ll want to hold onto (and wear) forever.
- This timeless blouse features slightly puffed padded shoulders and a flowing linen styling. It’s a white button down, elegantly elevated. Worn in a size medium.
- I reach for these ultra relaxed Agolde 90s jeans (worn in a 26) multiple times a week. They have a mid rise and a casual, straight leg cut that looks great with tennis shoes and heels alike.
- I picked up these Gucci Loafers three years ago and still wear them all the time. The chunky sole feels fresh and supportive…you get an easy two inches without the strain of wearing traditional heels!
- Always on my neck, I adore this Monica Vinader choker…it’s 18k gold vermeil (I even wear it in the shower) and reversible (one side is satin and the other, extra shiny), making it an effortless investment piece.
