Beauty lovers are always in search of ways to store the makeup and KUSSHI bags (use beautyprofessor10 for 10% off site wide) are the ultimate solution. Luxurious and sturdy with a zip out interior that can washed, these bags come in an array of fabrics (including leather) and I’m falling hard for this zebra design, which is the quintessential collision of neutrals with a pop of (interior) pink. I’ll show you how I fill my KUSSHI bags in a future post but, in the meanwhile, hope I’ve helped to put this brand on your radar if it wasn’t already.
Clé de Peau Beauté: The Cream Rouge
On to the newest launch from Clé de Peau Beauté: The Cream Rouge. Designed by Clé de Peau Beauté Global Color Director Benjamin Puckey, this lip color range is comprised of three distinct finishes: Matte, Shine and Sparkles for an endless array of bespoke possibilities. I am excited to be able to share sunlit swatches of all 22 shades and can’t wait to hear which ones are your favorite.
Clé de Peau Beaute Cream Rouge Matte
The *Clé de Peau Beaute Cream Rouge Matte (also available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom) features 10 shades with a soft matte finish with intense color payoff and up to 8 hours of wear. The formula, which is infused with Argan Oil and Vitamin E, feels exceptionally smooth, lightweight and moisturizing. I am personally partial to 111 Chocolate Cosmos, 112 Ixora Peach Delight and 117 Flamingo Flower…stay tuned for lip swatches in the coming days.
Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Rouge Shine
The *Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Rouge Shine (also available at Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom) features eight shades with a rich and reflective formula that bathes lips in a potent cloak of color. The Cream Rouge Shine is peerless in the beauty world as it is a rare combination of bold pigment with a luminous finish and I particularly love 201 Calanthe Orchid, 202 Plumeria Apricot and 206 Calliandra.
Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Rouge Sparkles
Finally the *Clé de Peau Beauté Cream Rouge Sparkles is a marvelous surprise as something like this hasn’t existed in the CdPB line for many years. The four sheer shades feature an infusion of hyper refined micro glitter (zero gritty feeling, I might add) with Sweet Nectar leaning cool, Mokara pulling gold, Medinilla Magnifica embodying baby pink energy and the breathtaking Ohia Lehua harmonizing rose and gold tones with great aplomb. It’s no wonder these are selling out everywhere…they are truly beguiling.
// DEVICES + SKINCARE //
In terms of devices, I wholly recommend the *ZIIP OX (use ZIIPWITHBP for 25% off right now!) for the most potent at-home blend of micro and nano current. This combination contributes to lifting and firming underneath the skin while also improving the look of surface level skin. I also am enjoying the *Currentbody Lip Pefector. It painlessly harnesses the power of red light to increase collagen production for a naturally fuller pout.
Also, the the brand new *Odacite Cryo-Tech Facial Tool, which is the only cryotool that I’ve experience that doesn’t need to be put in the freezer. Simply place the tool in a glass of ice water for 10 seconds and enjoy instantly cryotherapy in the palm of your hand. I use one side for gua sha/lympatic drainage and the other as a precision globe all over the face. This tool is truly revolutionary and you’ll wonder what you ever did without it.
Speaking of necessities, give the gift of enhanced safety with the Sabre Pepperspray with Jeweled Design. We live in wild times and I don’t leave the house without this rather glamorous looking, keychain friendly spray. While I wish never to be in a situation to have to deploy it, I’m glad it’s with me and it’s so essential that I’ve purchased one for all my close friends and family members.
Skincare
In terms of skincare, I’ve had the *Agent Nateur Body Balm (reviewed HERE) on heavy rotation for the past few months (almost finished with this bottle) along with the brilliant post-shower moisturizer *Drenchbar (saves time and water while being super travel friendly) and the *Retrouvé Dermal Defense Hand Cream (everything from the exquisite Retrouvé line is well worth the pursuit).
Other excellent formulas in my current lineup include the *Herbal Face Food The Cream. It leaves my skin smooth and glowy with every application. You can use code Beautyprofessor for a discount. Also, the highly rated *Supergoop! Daily Dose which combines mineral SPF with bioretinol bakuchiol for safe all day wear. Lastly, the *Omorovicza Queen Oil, which instantly hydrates and balances my skin.
I have been using nightly for weeks now and helps make my smile magnificent. Additionally, the *Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist is a gorgeous way to refresh the complexion while adding some radiance and the impressively fortified *ESW Masks are a lovely way to integrate a self care moment into the mix.
// HAIR CARE //
Some picks take hair to the next level with minimal effort include the Mela + Kera Balayage Exceptionnel Shampoo and Mela + Kera Balayage Exceptionnel Conditioner which leave hair bright, silky and exceptionally clean (this range smells intoxicatingly pleasing, by the way), the *Oribe Hair Alchemy Strengthening Mask, which increases resilience and shine with every application and the *Maya Chia The Mane Agent which uses a sophisticated blend of chia seed extract and amino acids to repair broken bonds on the hair. I’ve been diligently testing this for over two weeks and, in all earnestness, my hair looks and feels like glass.
For hair brushes, I recommend the S-Heart Scalp brush to stimulate circulation and the *3 more Inches #1 brush to detangle without incurring damage. The headband below is one of my favorites by Lorencetti USA…check out the site for handmade wearable beauty.
// COMPLEXION + EYES //
To even skin, add a glow, build dimension and enhance a natural flush, here are the products I’ve been reaching for most often as of late:
*BY TERRY Eclat Opulent Serum Foundation (reviewed HERE):
Medium coverage with a natural skin finish that lasts the day…so pretty.
Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #3 (use BP20 for 20% off):
I like to call this the “X factor” for skin. This formula hydrates, evens skin tone and illuminates, leaving the skin fresh and luminous. I’ve used this steadily for 10 years and every BP reader and follower who try this fall in love as there is nothing quite like it.
*Oxygeneticx Foundation in Honey:
A lightweight base that works on all skin types; it’s unique ingredients allow skin to breathe, making it gentle enough to apply even directly following a visit to the dermatologist.
Chanel CC Cream in B50 (reviewed HERE):
I am still smitten with this medium coverage gem. Just a pea sized amount evens my complexion on contact and I deeply appreciate its SPF and glowing finish.
Gee Beauty Liquid Glow (use BP15 for 15% off):
For a customizable radiance, this dewy highlighter is simply gorgeous. Mix into skincare or your foundation or wear on top to really catch the light.
*Sisley-Paris Undereye Concealer in 2 and 4 (reviewed HERE):
This skincare infused formula masterfully handles under eye darkness without creasing or looking conspicuous. Its
Gressa Essentialist Click Stick:
Highly concentrated and extraordinarily portable, this clean click stick conceals but, depending on the shade selected, can also contour and highlight the complexion with a velvety natural finish. So good.
*Sisley-Paris Phyto-Touche Sun Glow Bronzer:
I’ve used this bronzer for years as it becomes one with the skin in a single pass. It imparts a true tan hue that’s never orange…just sublime.
*MAKE Beauty Blush in Celestial Rose:
This blush is a universally flattering neutral rose and the formula is finely milled for a very natural outcome.
Nude Envie Enamor Blush (use BP15 for 15% off):
For doll pink cheeks with a subtle luminosity, look no further. I’m on compact #3 of this glorious shade.
La Bouche Rouge Lumiere (reviewed HERE):
This ranks amongst my top powder highlighters…fragrance free and exceptionally illuminating, this extra smooth powder makes skin look lit from within without a hint of glittery shimmer. Some days, I even skip eyeshadow and just use this for a light wash of champagne radiance.
Grande Cosmetics 2-in-1 Tinted Brow Gel (use Beautyprofessor15 for 15% off…reviewed HERE):
Immediately enhance your brows (define, deepen and add feathery hold) while nourishing them to the maximum on the longterm. This brow gel does both with serious success.
*Girlactik Essential Palette:
Buttery, blendable, crease-free color payoff in an array of effortless natural matte and satin shades makes this a wildly utilitarian palette…simply gorgeous. Use BP20 for 20% off!
// FINISHING TOUCHES //
Small yet mighty, the *Jenny Patinkin Travel Brush Set boasts four extra soft brushes in their own sturdy travel case for luxurious makeup application in any situation. For makeup that lasts all day, the *Caliray Surfproof Hydrating Setting Spray is a stellar option; it leaves skin with a natural glow while ensuring everything stays transfer proof until you’re ready to take it off.
The *Initio Oud for Happiness EDP features notes of Bergamot, Ginger, Licorice, Vanilla, Cedar Wood, Indian Oud and Musk and there’s something about the harmony of this blend that truly makes me happy every single time I encounter it.
For nail aficionados, the Gellydrops system is genius as they save time and money while being completely customizable. These semi-cured gel nail designs can be applied and cured with a portable light for a salon look at home…they last for 2-3 weeks and can be easily removed when you’re ready to change up your look.
If you or someone you love is a high top fan, the Isabel Marant Bilsy High Tops are a must. The 2 inch hidden wedge offers discrete height and the soft leather is comfortable and chic. They do run small so size up one size and you’ll want to wear these daily!
// LIP COLOR CONTINUED//
Tower 28’s JuiceBalms
The *Tower 28’s JuiceBalms feel like summertime in a tube; infused with innovative ingredients including Shea Butter and Marula Oil, these retractable balms feature a range of sheer (Mix and Shake) to intense (Squeeze and Drink) color payoff that is effortless and endlessly pretty.
If you’re a fan of the LAWLESS Forget the Filler family, then you’ll be thrilled about the new *Lawless Forget the Filler Lip-Plumping Line-Smoothing Tinted Lip Balm. Boasting the same hydrating, volumizing properties of both the FTF gloss and the lip mask (a bedside staple), these convenient stick balms make application on the go entirely effortless and the shade range features six resplendently sheer but buildable shades for every mood. I love them all but am partial to the cool pink Baby Doll!
The recently launched *SUQQU Treatment Wrapping Lip is exceptional! This cushiony gloss drenches lips in hydration. It’s a wash of color that is fresh and reflective without being the slightest bit sticky. I love the cool pink 05 (shown above) and keep the baby pink 01 in my purse at all times…it’s that good.
For the ultimate in red lip color, the new *Natasha Denona I Need a Rouge Collection is divine. The slimline lipsticks have a opulent, velvety smooth pigment and a the coordinating liners do not budge. Gigi is a bright ribbon red and Emilia is a deep crimson; both are uniequivocally excellent.
Nude Envie Lipstick Joey
Finally, so far this year, I’ve am grateful to have launched not one but two lip color collaborations with brands I adore. Named after my beloved daughter Joey Elle, my Nude Envie Lipstick Joey (also introduced HERE) is a peachy pink coral with creamy color payoff and a pearly finish that leaves lips hydrated and volumized. It’s such a special shade and the sentiment behind its creation celebrates the beautifully unbreakable bond between mother and daughter.
Last month, I launched a third collaboration color, called Trenchcoat, with Au Naturale (full story HERE) and this melange of pink, nude, peach and beige is a lush creamy stain with intense color payoff and a lasting finish. This neutral, like a classic trenchcoat, is designed to work on all complexions and in all situations. Nude Envie Lipstick Joey and Trenchcoat are dream colors for me and pairing them together is a daily joy. The rich opacity of Trenchcoat plus the glowing finish of Lipstick Joey create the most gorgeously flattering shade…try them and you’ll see exactly what I mean.
