Happy April to you, dear readers! I hope your month is off to a wonderful start. I spent last week– incidentally, also my spring break from the college–at home recovering from a surgery (I’m totally OK, gratefully) and am finally getting back into my normal schedule of shooting, writing and posting.
Today’s story is dedicated to a brilliant round of palette releases, the complete shade lineup for the *Rodin Luxe Lipstickand a curated list of shopping suggestions for sales in which I’ve been indulging as of late.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
(1) *Serge Lutens Beauté Eye Shadow Palette #4: Housed in a sleek and streamlined compact synonymous with the Serge Lutens line, this palette is a stunning embodiment of gold and bronze, offset with a panel of jet black obsidian for good measure. The epitome of luxury, this quartet is so buttery with velvety color payoff that resists creasing. The shades layer with ease, making this a worthy splurge, indeed.
(2) *Hourglass Graphik Eyeshadow Palette in Vista: If you are seeking a five shades that look good on every single eye color in the spectrum, I highly recommend Vista. The silky hues–which range from delicate champagne to intense black–have no fallout and magnificent pigmentation and the multidimensional golden bronze tone (next to the black) is worth the entire palette as it is breathtaking on an otherworldly level.
(3) *Laura Mercier Boheme Chic Eye Clay Palette: Brimming with delicate neutrals in matte and radiant finishes, this new palette (which is already backordered on the Nordstrom site) possesses three luxurious shimmering shades and three muted matte hues that meld into skin with tactile satisfaction. The palette is completed with a radiant setting powder for seamless and crease-free wear. The incandescent rose gold looks incredible as an overall wash of color…it’s a truly effortless eye in mere seconds!
An eyeshadow palette with six, highly pigmented clay-textured eye colors in matte and metallic finishesplus, a setting powder to prolong wear.
The Boheme Chic Eye Clay Palette features studio-inspired, high-performance brushed metal and matte textured clays to give you intense color resisting shadow fall-out. Soft, flexible, clay-like hybrid textures apply beautifully with a unique, wet feel that seems to melt onto your skin. It also comes with an exclusive Air-Light Setting Powder to prolong wear for up to eight hours and prevent creasing.
(4) *Urban Decay Backtalk Palette: Punctuated by a rosy gradient, this genius dual-sided palette includes eight matte and satin shades for eyes and four coordinating cheek colors. The hues are soft and blend like a dream, creating a fresh take on a traditional neutral eye that can be effortlessly subtle for daytime looks and intensified evening.
(5) *Touch In Sol Metallist High Shine Bouncy Cream Shadow Palette: I’ve long been a fan of the Metallist formula (reviewed HERE) and this latest iteration is equally enchanting. Cushiony and buildable, these shadows layer beautifully, lending a gossamer veil of luminous color (in rosy warm tones) that doesn’t crease or migrate for hours on end.
(6) The *Natasha Denona Tropic Palette (reviewed HERE): Rife with an array of refreshingly unusual shades that, once blended are harmoniously wearable, this palette reflects an equal balance of velvety matte, satin and metallic shades that deliver a wash of life to the face. It, as its moniker suggests, is indeed the tropics in a palette.
Recently, five new shades were added to the *Rodin Luxe Lipstick (also available at Neiman Marcusand previously reviewed HERE) lineup. I’ve been impressed with this opulent formula ever since first trying the line back in 2016 and the latest hues further extend this lip color’s appeal. Creamy and comfortably long wearing, this moisturizing formula with stellar ingredients envelopes lips in major color payoff.
