Beauty Is Life Ultra Cream Powder Nose-Chin Repair

The beautiful glossy compact.
My recent delight with the quality and innovation of the Beauty Is Life line is clear.  From the Cosmopolitan lipstick (which by the way, someone asks me what shade it is, every time I wear it) to lip gloss to eye shadow, this artist’s line offers intensely pigmented products with premium ingredients.
I selected Beige Caramel (04w) which is a medium beige with golden undertones.

I had been intrigued with the concept of the Ultra Cream Powder Nose-Chin Repair, which is designed to be a touch up product (much like a fusion of powder and concealer) rather than a true foundation.  As the day wears on, it seems like the two areas that lose foundation coverage first are the nose and chin, thereby necessitating the creation of this product!

The Nose-Chin Repair comes in a well-crafted black plastic compact with a generous mirror and a separate lower level for sponge storage.

Retailing for $50, I selected the color 04w Beige Caramel, which is a warm toned beige in the NC 30 range, allowing it to blend with most of my summer foundations.  I will allow the next few images and accompanying captions to speak for themselves…

The texture of the nose-chin repair is like that of a firm creme foundation…not as opaque as a concealer but definitely yielding coverage.

The compact come with a sponge, housed in a lower separate compartment.

Beige Caramel is a true NC 30 color, similar in shade to most of my summer foundations, with fabulous opacity.

The nose-chin repair provides a satin matte finish and corrects any foundation issues caused by length of wear or “melting.”

I use this product as intended…as a midday touch up for vanishing foundation.  In the images above and below, I added a bit to my nose and chin (and T zone in general) before heading out.  I had originally applied my foundation 6 hours earlier!  This compact just freshens things up without appearing heavy or cakey…it is a very natural effect.

I have a bit of nose-chin repair on my, well, nose and chin…big surprise.  Note how flawless and even the coverage is in conjunction with my foundation (in this case, Le Metier de Beaute Classic Flawless Foundation in #7 and #9)

Bottom Line: The Beauty Is Life Nose-Chin Repair is a truly unique product.  The fact that it is designed to be used for touch ups, rather than all over the face is fascinating.  Just  a couple of pats of this rich cream mattifies, perfects and refines effortlessly.  I have had no adverse reactions with my sensitive skin and, since purchase, have carried this compact in my purse nonstop.  It has actually reduced my use of powder throughout the day and leaves my skin with a natural coverage and finish that I love.  Highly recommended!

This is an interesting concept, especially for ladies with oily skin. Too bad we don't have Barney's here in HI so I can try it out.

Yes, Kath…it really does do the trick when when you get a little too "glowy!" I cannot believe there isn't a Barney's in HI…there is so much amazing shopping there! I hope all is well…

When I was in California last I bought several things from Beauty is Life. I'm surprised more people don't know about the brand but their distribution is so small. This sounds like a great product for touching up.

      Hi Marcia,

Thanks so much for the comment. You are right, the Beauty Is Life line has such gorgeous products but the line itself, due to such limited distribution, seems like some sort of secret! I guess I'll have to keep buying more products to use and review so I can get the word out ; )

Which products did you buy? What did you think?

      Have a fantastic weekend,

Hi! I am a bit late reading this (sorry!) Do you think this is good for acne prone skin and won't make you break out?

      Hello Anon,

Thanks for stopping by! I have very sensitive skin and this has not caused any irritations or breakouts for me. It is currently too dark for my winter skin, but I am looking forward to revisiting this product in the spring and summer!

Let me know if you have any other questions and have a wonderful week!
