New Lips, Shoes + a Preview of the Le Metier De Beaute Ken Downing Kaleidoscopes!

Happy Sunday!  This post is devoted to three new products in my life: lip color, shoes and eyeshadow…I ask you (with only the slightest hint of cavalier humor), what else does a girl need?
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images as well as the Bottom Line…

(1) First up is the deliciously radiant *Lancome Shine Lover Lipstick in Effortless Pink; drenched with pigment and a cellophane shine, this ultra moisturizing formula feels like the most luxurious balm while bathing lips in gorgeously buildable color.  Effortless Pink, which could be described as a cool medium pink with slightly lilac leanings, has just enough saturated tone to instantly brighten the face without being over the top.  Although it initially applies sheer, the color payoff, especially after a layer or two, is significant. As one who often battles dry lips, I am completely delighted with how hydrated my lips feel when wearing this lip color; they stay smooth and comfortable for hours.   All in all, this is a stunning formula and a must-have shade for pink lovers!

Official details, courtesy of Neiman Marcus:

Shine Lover is a vibrant shine lipstick that reveals the attitude of a smile with its remarkable expression of pulsating colors. Shine Lover is much more than a lipstick, it’s a state of mind. Includes Rose de Muscat Oil which infuses the balmy texture with moisture that hydrates, rejuvenates, and smoothes lips.

(2) Next,  I recently picked up a new pair of Freebird by Steven shoes (in the style Grind) that add a unique and utilitarian element to my wardrobe.  These booties feature strappy detailing and a side zipper that makes them easy to put on.  The two-inch heel provides just enough lift to be flattering and the high-quality leather allows for virtually no break-in time…brilliant!

(3) Finally, I had the opportunity to swatch the freshly-debuted Le Metier de Beaute Limited Edition Ken Downing Kaleidoscopes last week and am thrilled to share my initial impressions.
These rare gems feature iconic images from both Paris and London and a treasure trove of silky, pigmented eyeshadows for endless possibilities.  Although I have an affinity for both, I am slighly more partial to the unabashedly neutral London.  I am told that these were produced in very limited quantities so I would act sooner rather than later if you are as eager as I am to add these to your collection!

Hi BP:) I always look forward to your posts. They are always such a delight to read. I am noticing your frequent use of Napoleon and Mustae V, which look dreamey, how it compares to Tom Ford. I've tried a lot of the recent foundations releases, but keep coming back. Also a video of how you use the two products would be wonderful. Thank you again for your amazing work. Truely delightful.

      Hi Shelly,

That is wonderful to hear! Thank you. I am hoping to do a MustaeV-Napoleon base video soon…alas, time and lighting haven't been on my side as of late ; ) Both together create a dewier finish (that still lasts) than the TF Tracelss Perfecting but I still use the TF for super long and humid days!

      Thanks again for your support…XOXO,

    Those boots! Heavenly!
You're looking cute as always 🙂

I really don't know LMdB very well. I really enjoy your posts as I know so little about the brand. Charleston Girl used to write about LMdB, but sadly she is on hiatus. One of these days, I'll get to Neiman Marcus and have fun at the counter.
Another brand that I have never really explored is Lancome. I supposed with you and Lisa Eldridge reviewing and using the products that Lancome just might be making their way into my makeup wardrobe.

      Hello Petunia!

Thank you…I knew I had to have the booties when I saw them! So comfortable. With regards to LMdB, it has become more difficult to find in recent days…only at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. That being said, it is truly worth tracking down…excellent texture, color and performance across the board! I hope that Charleston Girl is OK!

Lancome is newer in my life as well…I have my eye on the new cushion compact next ; )

      XO,
