Just a quick peek at Ellis Faas Creamy Lips in L102, a deep rose stain that I like more than I thought I would. Regular readers of Beauty Professor might know that I have a serious affinity for pale nude, pink and peach lip shades. I am not, typically, a fan of anything red or dark! However, when I do decide to wear a deep lip color, this is what I gravitate towards.

It is dispensed by twisting the bottom…then the color pushes through a flocked tip…a little goes a long way so one must twist it judiciously! The formula is slightly moisturizing and, due to its deep color, I find that my lips benefit from a good scrub and balm (like Koh Gen Do’s Lip Chiffon) before applying. Once it sets as a stain, the color lasts a decent 4-5 hours!

Bottom Line: I am not a lover of dark lipstick, but when I feel like pumping up the color, this is the shade to which I turn. Its ability to serve as stain, sheer lipstick or full on opaque lip color makes it versatile and I like having the control to determine how bold I want to go with it.

Oh, this is SO so pretty. I like the medium swatch that you did, and I love that you can go heavy or light depending on mood.
Thanks, Brigid! I am glad you like the swatches…I love the fact that you can control the depth of color; it's like having two or three lipsticks in one!
Have a lovely week,
