While in Scottsdale last month, I scoured Barneys for new makeup products and discovered a beautiful installment of reformulated lip color by Kevyn Aucoin.
The Expert Lip Color in Micavel is a lovely creamy peachy pink that reminds me a lot of a smoother, shinier, more hydrating
Illamasqua Obey .
The formula is exquisite…the moisture level is palpable and my lips feel good from first application to the end of the day. The color is exactly in the shade family that I prefer…pinks, peaches, corals and creams…this is bright and fresh without being garish and over the top!
Even when it wears off (which happens in an even manner), a light stain remains that is flushed and flattering. Kindly scroll on for images…

Bottom Line: The Kevyn Aucoin Expert Lip Tint in Micavel is surprisingly pigmented, extremely moisturizing and very long lasting. I am happy with this “whim purchase” and envision myself wearing this a great deal!

I'm waiting for a package from Shu Uemura to arrive with two lipsticks from the holiday/Karl Lagerfeld collection. The Rouge Unlimited formula is one of my absolute faves, and I have high hopes for these shades (pinky coral and pink nude). I'm sure you'll see swatches on my instagram soon! 😉
Those colors sound amazing…I haven't been buying Shu since it left the country…it used to be so easy to get at the Shu shop at my mall or at Nordstrom ; ( Pinky coral and pink nude…does it get any better than that?! Cannot wait to see swatches once you receive them!
