Hi B.P! Really want to try the Chanel mascara. I haven't actually tried any mascara formulas by them even though 1 of my favorite foundations is their Lift Lumierre. I am so happy to report I finally received my Kanebo sample today!! Kimmy sent me the most amazing skincare samples I ever saw. She went into great detail organizing & marking each 1 she chose for me including the steps & order they go in. I just finished the 6 step process which sounds like a lot to some, but for me I love skincare just as much as doing hair! My skin feels amazingly soft & I'll have to let u know in a couple of days of using them how it looks. I am kind of disappointed that she only sent me 1 sample of the foundation. I thought with it taking so long to arrive (over a week) I could try atleast 2 that I narrowed it down to so I could order it right away with a match. however she sent the 1 that matches the other foundations that I wear. So tomorrow a.m I will try it for work. Even with my slightly darker self-tanned skin, I'm hoping it will be close. So excited! I did put a tiny bit on my jaw-line & it might be good. I didn't want to waste the precious foundation so I will wait til I do my whole face for work. THANK-YOU again for hooking many of us up with Kimmy & for everything you do. Oh, it may be time for me to purchase another Peau vierge…my other fav 1st step. xoxo
Hello Lynn!
I know what you mean…kept trying to buy the mascara and it was perpetually sold out until one of of the smaller Chanel counters restocked it. So glad you received your Kanebo samples…the skin care is to die for. I've been using some of my recent samples and hate that I love it all because, if you haven't yet noticed, it is rather pricy! Kimmy's attention to detail cannot be beat! What a bummer that you only received one sample of the foundation, however,…I have swatched every shade now and hope to get that post up tomorrow, so may be that will help a bit. Hooray for a Peau Vierge repurchase…as someone who runs through beauty products like water, it is always exciting to re-buy certain products repeatedly (I'm on bottle #3!).
Hope your week is going well, keep me posted and talk soon!

Hi B.P! So it looks like the foundation she picked for me, almond beige is a great match right now to my summer skin. It looked amazing and held up so well in the heat outside and in the salon. We are in the midst of a heat wave here on the East coast. 98 degrees and over! The finish is amazing just as it looks on your blog. I am hoping this will still match once I get tired of self-tanning haha but I think it may be just perfect! Looking forward to more videos and reviews and do hope you are enjoying summer as well. Us readers keep you so busy but hope u have some YOU time! have a wonderful weekend xoxo
Hello! I am so glad to hear that Almond Beige seems to be a match! In the swatching video I filmed this week (should be up later on today), I mentioned that if I get a bit too dark for my current perfect match in the formula (Natural Beige), I would bump up to Almond Beige! It is gorgeous! I bet you will be Natural Beige if you end up getting lighter in the fall. Glad you love the finish…it is so fantastic! I am having some "me time," thank you…when I am not traveling or having appointments in LA, I am taking the mornings slowly and enjoying the luxury of not having to be out of the house by 7:30 AM! It's bliss.
I hope you have a lovely weekend and look forward to talking soon…xoxo,

Another very well done review, in depth, honest, based on real life experiences, thanks for that.
I have been wanting the cream blushes after your review and seeing The Muse Make-up Artist Lisa Eldridge using in her tutorials, now I might just have added the mascara to my Channel wish list!
I will check it out if it is already out here in the UK, but I believe it might be as Chanel products usually come out in Europe first.
Cheers
Bianca
Thank you very much, Bianca…I really appreciate your wonderful feedback. I hope you are able to find the mascara in the UK…I've heard that the cream blushes should make it to your end of the world by August (when we get Les Beiges in the States!).
xoxo and take care!!

My feedback is honest, you are a very professional blogger who clearly respect your reader's inteligence. Your reviews are a joy to read/watch and I am not, by any means, easy to please.
I am going to my nearest Chanel counter tomorrow to enquire about mascara and blushers, fingers crossed the mascara made its way here already!
I read someone commenting about LMdB peau vierge, and as I have already mentioned here I am highly interested, but I see that LMdB is non longer available in the UK.
Given you have great contact with the brande manager somewhere in LA, as you always post, I wonder if he recommends somewhere I can procure the product from this side of the Ocean. I would be very happy to get this information as I am eager to try the treatment.
Cheers
Thank you, Bianca…truly, your thoughts are very encouraging to read and I really appreciate it.
I just sent an email to my LMdB Specialist in Beverly Hills regarding Peau Vierge in the UK and will let you know what I find out as soon as I hear back from him!
In the meanwhile, happy shopping at the Chanel counter, take care and talk soon!!
xoxo,

I just spoke with my LMdB Specialist and he confirmed that Neiman Marcus doesn't ship to the UK, however, I found a website that has Peau Vierge that appears to ship there…it is:
http://www.beautybay.com/skincare/lemetierdebeaute/g/peauviergeantiagingcomplexespf20/
Perhaps that will be of help!

Hi BP– I loved the review of the Givenchy Le Visage Soft Matte Powder and lipstick! I've never used Givenchy products, but now I'm going to Sephora to take a looksee. Also- need a powder company for my purse and considering I have oily skin and need to use during the day, I'm trying to decide between Givenchy and the Hourglass in diffused light. What would be your thoughts?
Hello Mara,
Thank you!! The Givenchy line has really been surprising me lately. So nice that it is readily available at Sephora! Between the two powders, I would say that the Hourglass in Diffused Light is a bit more mattifying (at least, initially) and offers a touch more coverage than the Givenchy, which is lovely, but quite sheer and the slightest bit shimmery. That being said, you may find Diffused too light if you are closer to medium (rather than light) skin at which point, I would go with the Givenchy because the shade I purchased is great for light-medium to medium skin! Another great powder is the NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Powder…adds an imperceptible matte finish that isn't cakey. Finally, I've been loving the Armani Luminous Silk Powder in #5, which offers a bit more coverage than the others mentioned but keeps me matte all day.
Hope that helps and do keep me posted…xoxo,
