Finding ways to tame my long, thick hair is always an adventure. Although it is naturally straight, daily washing (it
must feel clean!) and a lack of thorough brushing or drying (I am huge fan of sleeping with it wet) creates ripples and tangles a plenty. I recently had the chance to try the
Hana Professional Flat Iron with Tourmaline, compliments of
Misikko.com and am delighted with the sleek results.
Kindly scroll on for images, details, a video demonstration and the Bottom Line…

Before lauding the flat iron itself, I must mention that ordering hair products from
Misikko is enchanting…the intended product is flanked by a gorgeous, color-coordinated bonus gifts that add an element of surprise and enjoyment to the unboxing process. I received an angel ornament, hairbrush, hand sanitizer, eye shadow palette, nail clippers, eye shadow brush and eyelash curler, all centered around the color of royalty: purple.

Above: The gorgeous blue ceramic plates are infused with Tourmaline for the smoothest experience possible. |
From my own experience, this is a remarkably well-crafted styling tool. The ceramic plates are so smooth that my hair glides through effortlessly…there are truly no rough edges to pose conflict with the process. A single pass at the second to highest heat setting instantly straightens my hair, making it endlessly silky and glossy upon contact. The straightening result lasts until my next hair washing, proving the enterprise to be time well spent!
|

I appreciate the fact that there is an easy to operate heat setting dial…although I generally opt for the second to hottest or very hottest option, those with color-treated hair may embrace the cooler temperature to avoid unnecessary heat exposure.

Bottom Line: As the video demonstrates, the Hana Pro Ceramic Straightener with Tourmaline is exceptional; it is well-constructed, heats up immediately and is extremely effective at instantly restoring my often unruly hair back to a glossy mane. I’ve also been using the Hana Professional Hairdryer (which has saved me veritable hours in the drying department!) and will be reporting the details soon. Highly recommended!
Next up on Beauty Professor…new foundation comparison swatches (for Suqqu, Kanebo Sensai and By Terry Densiliss!), an updated skincare routine video, a closeup of the newly-released Le Metier de Beaute Hydra Creme lip color (just bought three shades), a review of the freshly-available Rouge Bunny Rouge Nocturnal Inks, and an overview of how I store my makeup (my house is Muji-central these days)…good things ahead! Have a wonderful week…xo
**PR samples provided for review, however, as always, all of my opinions are expressly and unequivocally my own.
