Hi ! 🙂 First of wanted to say thank you for your awesomeness !!! I love your blog, please keep it coming :)So I wanted to ask for your advice on “camera-ready” foundation/face powder options. I have my engagement shoot in couple weeks and would like to do my own make-up. I am currently using MAC studio fix liquid, which I like the coverage but would like a little more glow. I have previously tried the LMdB classic foundation, which I liked. But feel the color range was not suited for my NC 23-25 color. I think color range will be better fit for summer skin. I have oily/acne/sensitive skin. Also the LMdB Peau Vierge I was looking at, dose it come in a pump-form still? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
XOXO
Shelly
Hello Shelly,
Thanks so much for the kind words!! I am glad you are enjoying my blog ; ) Congrats on your engagement! In terms of a foundation suggestion, I cannot help but recommend the Kanebo Sensai Cellular Performance Cream Foundation in #22 Natural Beige (perfect for NC 23-25 skin…it's what I am and I wear this shade for most of the year). It had medium to medium-full coverage, a beautiful dewy finish (that just looks like amazing skin), is long lasting and does not contain sunscreen (so there is no flashback in photos). The LMdB Peau Vierge has undergone some repackaging and should be coming back in a 1 ounce pump bottle soon (I am told) but in the meanwhile, the 2 ounce tube is the only version available.
I hope that helps…xoxo and keep in touch!

Thank you sooo much. By reading followong your blog, I had a hunch that you would recommend the KS foundation 🙂 I am also lost on a setting powder, or should I skip this step? Im just worried my face will look too glowy/shiny due to my oily skin. Any recs on a setting powder? And my NM dose not carry KS in the FL stores. So should I order it directly from KS site or NM website? Again thank you for your true and honest opions all things beauty 🙂
Happy to help! Although I don't use a powder to set the KS powder, I always like having one handy for touch ups throughout the day. A couple of my current favorites include the Surratt Diaphane powder and the Beauty Is Life Compact Powder (both at Barney's NY). With regards to the KS, I suggest ordering from Neiman Marcus…you will likely get it sooner and they have a great return policy, just in case ; )
Have a beautiful weekend…xoxo,
