Enjoyed your video- thank you for your Twitter help earlier today. You mentioned the Surratt blush in Duchess- I wanted to know, as it seems beyond light, if it shows up on you cheeks. Coquette is also so pretty!- Im going to bring my Ombre blackstars down as well on to the lower lash line in a heavier swish- looks great!

Hi Jo!
Thank you for the kind feedback; so happy to help on Twitter as well : ) In response to your question, the Surratt Duchesse blush does show up on my cheeks but it is very light and subtle. I tend to make everything darker (something to do with my chemistry, I guess) so I have to start with very pale shades! I highly recommend Coquette…need a second one soon. Have fun with the Ombre Blackstar/lower lash move…so effective!

I too, found that the IT Cosmetics Bye Bye Red works wonders as a base. It was quite by accident when I first used it and now it streamlines my morning face! I wasn't sure if anyone else was using it that way :). Great and beautiful quick face, thank you! I learned a couple of tips from this.
Isn't it amazing, Sherry? What a wonderful surprise! I can't get over how well it matches my skin tone.
Thanks for your sweet words…xoxo and have a lovely weekend,

What contour color is good for an NW20?
Both the Daniel Sandler Sculpt and Slim and the Tom Ford Shade and Illuminate in #01 should work!

Hi Rachel. This video was fantastic. I'm so impressed by your ability to pull this look together in so little time. And the finished look is beautiful; natural yet polished and I love how your eyes are enhanced but not overdone. The lip gloss/lipstick tip was great. In all my years (way more than yours 🙂 I have never thought to do that and I have to try it. Now the questions: how do you keep your concealer from setting while you are doing your eyes? I don't understand how it remains pliable enough for you to blend it out at the end of your makeup application. Do you use any under eye prep product or extra rich eye cream when prepping your skin? Or is it just this particular concealer? Do you do this with different concealers? Or maybe the foundation you applied first helps? I'm just fascinated by this because for me it seems concealer sets quickly. Granted, I have very dry skin (especially around the eye area) but I can't help but wonder if the heat from your skin keeps it pliable. I'm sorry for so many questions; I'm just dying to try this now that I've watched the video. But I'm afraid I'll wind up with 2 swipes of stuck on and dried concealer 🙂 I'm going to try it anyway but if you have any more explanation on how you do this, or why you think it works so well, it would be much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Deb,
Happy weekend to you! Thanks so much for your kind words about my video! With regards to your questions about the concealer, all I can guess is that after a layer of moisturizer (in this case, the oil) and Peau Vierge, my skin is balanced enough to keep the Cle de Peau concealer from drying in during the period before blending. I think that the ultra creamy texture of the CdP concealer is also a major factor. It is emollient but sets so nicely once it is blended and is my favorite concealer with which to do this technique.
I can't wait to hear how it goes for you when you try it…keep me posted please!!!
xoxo and talk soon,
