After months of anticipation, I am beyond thrilled to offer a comprehensive overview of the *By Terry Eye Designer Palettes. Available for pre-order at Beautylish and SpaceNK, these gems come in two color families for endless possibilities!
Kindly scroll on for more details, shade descriptions, swatches and images of the palettes in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Above: The palettes are large enough to feel substantial while still being small enough to reasonably toss in one’s handbag.
Above: The palettes themselves have sturdy casing for ease of portability and they come in a luxe velvet sheath.
In terms of formula, these shadows purport to be buildable and I would concur. To expedite this post, here is a **list of my initial observations:
The shadows are finely milled (as to be expected with the venerable By Terry line)
They are very smooth to the touch but not so soft as to create excessive “powder” when the brush touches the shadow itself
They are unscented
They do not cause irritation to sensitive eyes (at least in my experience…and my eyes are wildly sensitive)
They have a variety of matte and satin finishes that allows for maximum versatility; the Smoky Nude Palette has more matte finish shades and the Colour Design Palette has more satin finish shades
They all swatch differently…in general terms, the matte shades are very creamy and pigmented while the satin shades initally apply more sheerly for a gossamer finish
They can be built up for immense intensity and once built up, they stay smooth and steadfast (no creasing, fading or fallout) over the course of wear
I get 7-8 hours of flawless wear (even without a primer)
They can be applied damp (though I haven’t tried it on my eyes yet) which will lend to even greater pigmentation
All in all, they are gorgeous eyeshadows and a marvelous addition to the By Terry line
**I will add to/amend this list as I continue to experiment with both palettes.

The Smoky Nude Palette has 10 neutral shades (in both matte and satin finishes) for those who prefer a subtle, chic and classic look on the eyes.
The top row has:
A smoky mid-tone charcoal (matte)
A light neutral taupe (satin)
A deep chocolate brown (matte)
A cool light grey (very subtle satin)
A warm peachy tan (satin)
The bottom row has:
A taupe-tinged grey (matte)
A pale powder pink (matte)
A light nude cream (matte)
An ivory bone (matte)
A light, slightly rosy fawn (matte)
There are definitely more matte than satin shades in this palette but the tones are diversified enough to guarantee a spectrum of outcomes!

Above: The two-sided brush (included with the palette) is brilliant. It has a super soft fluffy blending brush on one side and a stiff liner brush on the other (great for edge work and precise application).
Above: The By Terry Colour Design Palette.
The Colour Design Palette has 10 vibrant shades (in both matte and satin finishes) for those who prefer a more color-saturated look on the eyes.
The top row has:
A deep indigo blue (matte)
An iridescent royal purple (satin)
A radiant lavender (satin)
A warm light pink (satin)
A cool pale pink (satin)
The bottom row has:
A rich warm brown (satin)
A burnished copper bronze (satin)
A pale lumious gold (satin)
A warm golden tangerine (satin)
An intense orange (matte)
By description and swatches, one can easily ascertain that, in contrast to the Smoky Nude option, there are more satin shades in this particular palette. In light of the bold nature of the shades, I think that the satin finish lends to greater wearability overall,

To enhance the eye look that I created with the By Terry Eye Designer Palettes in both Smoky Nude and Colour Design, I embraced a rosy nude lip, compliments of the Terrybly Perfect Lipliner in 05 Baby Bare (reviewed HERE and available at Beautylish, Barney’s NY and Space.NK) and By Terry Velvet Rouge in 01 Lady Bare (reviewed HERE and available at Beautylish, Barney’s NY and Space.NK). In the images that follow, I am also wearing a GAP Tropical Palm Sweatshirt.

Bottom Line: The By Terry Eye Designer Palettes (available for pre-order at Beautylish and SpaceNK) are luxuriously opulent while still being entirely wearable. They are buildable from a gossamer sheer finish all the way to a bold, saturated effect (especially when applied damp or over primer) and the silky texture stays in place without flaking or fading. Tres magnifique. Both the Smoky Nude and Colour Design palettes will be staples in my beauty routine for seasons to come and I look forward to continuing to experiment with customized looks!

Can't wait to buy this! Based from your photos and swatches, I'm leaning more towards the color design palette, quite bright but definitely wearable eyeshadows.

Hello!
I believe it will…which style do you have? The palettes are $96, which is fairly reasonable in light of the versatility!
