After a bit of a summer hiatus from YouTube, I am excited to share a fresh video; this full-bodied footage is a combination of a “get ready with me” (bare face and all) and a Summer 2015 beauty and skincare favorites discussion. I invite you to grab a drink and a snack and get comfortable (we have a lot of ground to cover) and I truly hope you enjoy it!
Kindly scroll on for the video, product run down (with links to their respective reviews) and close up images of products discussed as well as the Bottom Line…

Bottom Line: Although this video was the culmination of many hours of filming, editing, photography and linking, it feels good to share through this medium once again and I hope you found this rather lengthy endeavor to be enlightening and entertaining.
What are some of YOUR skincare and beauty favorites for the summer?
I welcome your questions and comments…both below and on my YouTube channel!
Good things ahead, including more foundation talk, fresh releases for Fall 2015 and a host of new product procurements.
My golden BP! These are my favorite kind of posts/videos of yours. They are opulent and loaded with goodness. I wanted to see the TF Illuminating duo in action and it is spectacular.
I adore the silk blouse, very Daenerys Targaryen in color and feel. I also adore your hand mirror. You are just a beauty.
You are too kind to me, my friend! Thank you! I am so glad you don't mind the length of the videos (I am always trying to make them shorter!) and am truly happy that you enjoyed!
With much appreciation for your friendship and support…XO,
Hi Rachel I enjoyed your you tube video and GRWM. I love the new Kat Von D lock it powder foundation but I also love the Le Meteir de beaute peau vierge (I need to try this as a primer as well). I also love the new YSL Blur Perfector.Julie
Thanks so much! When it comes to skincare, I test it for a minimum of 4 weeks before I weigh in on it on the blog or in a video…I wish I needed less time but with skincare, I find that at least a month is necessary to calibrate efficacy!
I generally use the same serum day and night during a testing phase (if that is what the directions say to do) so that I can get a clear understanding of its efficacy!

Hello BeautyProfessor! Which cushion would you recommend? Sulwhasoo or Amore Pacific? (: thanks!
Hello! I own and love them both but prefer the Sulwhasoo because the scent is less prominent and I have a sensitive nose ; )

Many thanks, Julie! Thank you, also, for sharing some of your current favorites!
I need to look into that YSL Blur Perfector ; )

Hey Rachel I love your videos I do have a quick question for you how long do you test out serums?
Hi Melissa,
Thanks so much! When it comes to skincare, I test it for a minimum of 4 weeks before I weigh in on it on the blog or in a video…I wish I needed less time but with skincare, I find that at least a month is necessary to calibrate efficacy!

Do you test the same serum day and night or do you use other serums in that time? Sorry I'm just trying to learn and skincare can get confusing
I generally use the same serum day and night during a testing phase (if that is what the directions say to do) so that I can get a clear understanding of its efficacy!
Hope that helps…xx,
