2 New Brands to Meet: Trestique + Shu Uemura Art of Hair

Above: Meet Trestique.
Today, I relish the opportunity to discussing two beauty brands that have yet to be explored on Beauty Professor.  The first is designed to dramatically streamline both the time and space occupied by your beauty routine and the second is a minimalist hair care duo for soft, shiny and manageable tresses!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action…

The chief tenet of Trestique is simplicity; the product’s textures and shades have a universal appeal that is equal parts natural and polished beauty and the innovative packaging makes a spectrum of shade and formula options portable and unequivocally travel friendly.  Notably, each product features a built-in sponge or brush applicator, thereby reducing the need for additional tools and heightening the ease of touch-ups on the go.
I had the chance to try six products from the Trestique line and was duly impressed by the creamy pigmentation and blendability of the formulas; I was able to create a fresh-faced look that represents all of my perennial favorites…even skin, bronze cheeks and lids and soft pinky nude lips that remain intact for 6+ touch-up free hours.

Swatches + Descriptions:
  • *Trestique Correct and Cover Concealer Crayon in Bisque:  Offering a touch more initial coverage than then Tinted Face Stick, this potent wand instantly banishes discoloration and imperfections.  I blended a touch of this in my under eye region and was pleased with how well it covered darkness without conspicuous creasing.

In terms of hair care, I’ve been loving the Shu Uemura Art of Hair offerings, specifically the:
  • *Cleansing Oil Shampoo: Despite its potentially misleading moniker (oil?), this formula leaves hair decidedly clean.  3-4 pumps of this softly fragrant elixir create a lush lather that gently cleanses my thick, long hair, leaving it feeling balanced and smooth.  I have been using this nonstop!
  • *Essence Absolue Nourishing Protective Oil:  The scent alone is enough to enchant, but the detangling and hydrating properties of this serum further enhance its value in my current routine.  Brimming with the restorative power of Camellia, this oil does it all; it masterfully adds shine, tames fly-aways, enhances manageability, acts as a leave-in conditioner and can be used as a protective styling treatment.  Since using two pumps directly after washing, my tangle-prone hair has never been smoother and more voluminous.

Style Details: I am also wearing an Icebreaker wool zip up; truly, I can’t stop wearing this as it is the quintessential warm up as temperatures drop.

Bottom Line:  Both the Trestique and Shu Uemura Art of Hair lines are a delight for this beauty lover.  Unique and effective, I recommend taking a closer look at their respective offerings if you are on the hunt for impressive new brands in the beauty realm!

Have YOU tried anything from Trestique and Shu Uemura Art of Hair?  Thoughts?

Good things ahead including new discoveries in skincare and beauty as well as my spoils from recent Sephora and Beautylish sales!  I am also working my way through responding to your comments and emails.

Have a lovely Tuesday…xx,

Rachel, great post as always. Have you tried any of the nudestix? I am always looking for ways to streamline my makeup for days when I want a quick primp and run out the door. This gal at least has to have a bit of cover, lips and eyebrows even for daily walks or trips to the gym. Love the Shu Uemura line. Your hair looks beautiful! Great post!
