Introducing the Surratt Beauty Surreal Skin Foundation.
New foundation alert! Available online at Sephora the week of 4/17/16, the Surratt Beauty Surreal Skin Foundation promises buildable coverage, a natural finish and impressive lasting power. I have had the distinct pleasure of testing it for the past month and couldn’t be more thrilled with its performance.
Kindly scroll on for preliminary details and host of images as well as the Bottom Line…
A luxe brush and creamy, long-lasting formula set this foundation apart from its contemporaries.
Official details, courtesy of Surratt Beauty:
Innovative new component dispenses the foundation through
an angled brush for effortless application and quick touch-ups
Oil-free, self-setting formula gives optimal skin-perfecting
coverage with a longwearing, natural finish that is virtually
undetectable
Surreally perfect skin instantaneously appears with the push of
a button and the wave of a wand…skin tone evens and pores and fine
lines mysteriously disappear
The foundation comes in 15 versatile shades…a full spectrum of swatches and shade descriptions to come!
Just before the official launch, I will be sharing a comprehensive review with swatches of all shades and detailed shade descriptions. In short, this foundation is definitely worth the wait!
Tutorial please for how you do your eye shadow and perhaps just a video with all these wonderful things applied on your face. Can it be? I miss your videos; they are my favorite.

Thank you, Lynn!! And it just went live on the Sephora website today…my swatch post is now published so all can find their way to their ideal shade ; )
Dang it, I was so looking forward to trying this, and #1 looks to be a great skin match for me, but having an attached brush made it a deal breaker. I'm not a fan of brushes for foundation, because on my skin, it just does not work.
Thank you for your comment. I know that attached brushes can be tricky but, if it helps, my experience with this particular version has been nothing but positive! My full review + swatches is now live!
Wow, that foundation looks great on you Rachel! The color selection is quite extensive. Looks like a great foundation for travel with brush included. Thanks!
Thanks so much!! I am so impressed by the amount of shades for this formula and yes, the brush is super well-made and entirely handy! I hope your week is going well!
I'm assuming this foundation will contain much less than the standard amount of product (i.e., 1 oz.), which makes me skeptical about the relatively small brush component being the best for dispensing, applying or cleaning — wasteful, streaky and unhygienic, respectively — although ideal in terms of portability. By Terry's Light-Expert Click Brush has an almost identical concept, but the applicator is completely detachable for easy washing. Is that the case for Surratt's version? Your preliminary description of the formula itself is effusive enough to make me want to completely overlook my aversion though. As always, I look forward to a more comprehensive review and description of the shades available.
Thanks for your thoughts! I have found that a little (a pump or two maximum) goes a long way in creating medium coverage and the brush, as aforementioned, was a distinctly pleasant surprise for me. It is lush and effective in distributing the formula and the portability cannot be beat. I haven't had issues with cleaning it (the directions suggest washing with gentle soap and water once a month) and I find myself continuing to reach for this formula time and again! My comprehensive review + swatches of every shade is now live on BP…hope it helps.
How do this foundation compare to the By Terry Light Expert Click Brush? I bought that foundation based on your recommendation/review and love it! Do you think its worth having both foundations in my arsenal?
With regards to your question, I find that the Surratt has a different texture (creamy vs. BT's velvety texture) and more coverage should one wish. Also it is unscented! Both formulas are exemplary and I use them both at different times ; )
Hi! Im a foundation and concealor junkie too and find your reviews to be incredibly thorough. Im trying to decide between La Mer Treatment foundatio, this Surrat option and La Praitie Caviar for my dry, mature skin. Your advice would be inva5. Thanks in advance…Carmela
Thanks for the compliment! With regards to your question, I would suggest either the Surratt foundation (has the best lasting power) or the La Prairie Skin Caviar (extra hydrating for dry skin).
