October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and, once again, Le Metier de Beaute has released a stunning, limited-edition pink *Kaleidscope to raise awareness as well as vital funding for research.
It is truly breathtaking when beauty and goodwill combine forces!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the Kaleidoscope in action (along with some new Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Cremes) as well as the Bottom Line…
The second anniversary of the *Faces of Beauty Kaleidscope—inspired by former Neiman Marcus employee Stephanie Seban (full interview HERE) who has battled breast cancer for nearly five years–possesses equally lush neutral tones that seamlessly blend to create a glowingly defined eye. And the fact that 30% of all proceeds for the kaleidoscope will be donated to local non-profit breast cancer organizations makes this release that much more fulfilling to procure!
The *Faces of Beauty Kaleidoscope features four pans of eyeshadow in a signature stacking consul that has become synonymous with Le Metier de Beaute over the years:
ROSEATE – Pink Shimmer (top tier)
TRIOMPHE – Warm Brown Shimmer (2nd tier)
ÉLAN – Warm Olive Shimmer (3rd tier)
VALOR – Smoke shimmer (bottom tier)
The formula is velvety smooth and incredibly pigmented, resisting creasing and fallout while draping the eye in a cloak of flattering color. I am especially smitten with the luminous pink Roseate (which I used as an overall wash of color in the images below) and love accenting it with the warm bronzy brown Triomphe for a unique take on a soft, smoky eye.
All in all, this *Kaleidoscope is an uplifting fusion of universal neutrals collaborating together for an entirely worthy cause; because the shadow is so finely-milled, even those that may be apprehensive about shimmer will find the radiance subtle and effortless rather than conspicuous.
In summation, this is a face-friendly limited-edition launch worthy of pursuit!

To create the full look reflected at the end of the post, I used the following Le Metier de Beaute products:
*Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #2 (reviewed HERE): An unmitigated holy grail product in my life, I use this moisturizer, primer, illuminator and SPF hybrid every. single. day.
*Le Metier de Beaute After Glow Foundation #8 (thoroughly swatched reviewed HERE): With buildable coverage and a satin matte finish that imparts an ethereal glow as the day proceeds, this foundation is a modern classic.
*Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Creme in First Look (also reviewed HERE): The latest lip color formula from LMdB (in fou words: lightweight, pigmented, hydrating and long lasting!) this rosy nude shade has a luxurious cream finish that is sure to flatter a spectrum of skin tones.
Le Metier de Beaute Moisture Matte Lip Creme in Billow: A delicate baby pink with enough depth to avoid dubious pastel territory, this shade is sophisticated and unapologetically feminine. Worn alone, it fulfills all of my pink lip dreams and I also enjoy mixing it with Mannequin for a customized nude pink effect.
Swatches from top to bottom: First Look, Mannequin and Billow.

// Style Notes // Classic black with a dash of embellishment, I’ll be wearing this slip dress and clever slip ons all season long.
Equipment France Jess Bias Slip Dress(also available in leopard print): I have been eyeing this dress for awhile and am so glad I finally ordered it. The rich black silk is opaque enough to not require a slip and the bias cut is slim but with a flattering flounce that enhances the ease of wear. It is such a timeless piece and I know it will be on heavy rotation, both for work and play.
Coach Turnlock Creeper Slides (also available at Spring): I stumbled upon this unique pair of footwear when in Kansas City late last month (discussed HERE) and, for the first minute, couldn’t decide if they were hideous or resplendent. The chunky slides–emblazoned with one of the largest displays of turn lock detailing I have ever encountered–have a loafer-inspired fringe and a weighty sole that feels surprisingly light when actually on the feet. Are they polarizing? Perhaps. However, after wearing them quite a few times in the past two weeks (working just as well with jeans as they do with dresses, they are insanely comfortable) and being asked no less than seven times by perfect strangers where I got them, I have no regrets about my purchase.
Light Wash Denim Trucker Jacket: I love the light denim hue of this jacket and find it brightens up my darker outfits while still behaving as a neutral.
The creepers feature a comfortable 2 ” heel and leather upper that, in my experience, did not need to be broken in.
The turnlock detailing is intense yet enchanting.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this overview of both the *Le Metier de Beaute Faces of Beauty Kaleidscopeand *Moisture Matte Lip Cream(a swatch-heavy post featuring every shade in the collection forthcoming). These launches are beautiful on many levels and, consequently, will be central elements of my fall makeup routine. How do YOU participate in Breast Cancer Awareness Month? Do share!
If you feel inspired by both the colors and the cause behind this remarkable release, I implore you to pick it up during the month of October…remember that during this month 30% of the proceeds of the kaleidoscope will be donated back to local non-profit breast cancer organizations.
Good things ahead, including a fresh FOTD, a video tutorial and a host of new product procurements!
