Today’s beauty story is dedicated to my favorite products from La Prairie. Both steeped in tradition and a hallmark of modern luxury, this skincare and color line offers a timeless, high-performance range–adequate for use all year, rather than a single season–is well worth the pursuit and investment. The iconic cobalt blue and silver packaging is indicative of the opulence it possesses and each of the formulas I am sharing are tried and tested and true bastions of my beauty routine.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
I’ve been traveling frequently for the past couple months and La Prairie there are key La Prairie products that consistently find their way into my travel bags. This *particular number from TDE, which features a spacious main compartment, wide zipper and flat bottom (no falling down on flat surfaces!) has accompanied me on multiple trips as of late and I wanted to make sure you were able to see my La Prairie picks in their natural habit!
On to my La Prairie Favorites and the resulting look…
La Prairie skincare essentials.
// SKINCARE // A trio of key basics for glowing skin and luminous eyes and lips.
*La Prairie White Caviar Illuminating Pearl Infusion (reviewed HERE and HERE): A potent concentration of Vitamin C works below the surface to brighten, clarify, firm and tighten the skin with every application while the dewy formula instantly adds a luminous glow that serves as an illuminating base for foundation.
*La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream (reviewed HERE and HERE): My go-to for years, this eye cream has garnered cult status in the beauty industry due to its ability to lift, brighten, moisturize and firm the delicate and often trepidatious orbital region. I am on my second jar and still use it multiple times times a week!
*La Prairie Anti-Aging Eye and Lip Perfection A Porter: This dual-level travel companion has a nourishing eye balm (to brighten while blurring fine lines) and a slightly opalescent lip balm for glossy lips on the go. A perfect pairing, indeed.
// BASE + FACE // An even canvas, enhanced by a wash of luminous bronze and a flushed cheek for a incandescently healthy looking visage.
*La Prairie Skin Caviar Foundation and Concealer in Amber Beige (all shades swatched and reviewed HERE): Consistently in my top three foundations, this glorious medium coverage formula contains a coordinating concealer in the top lid for a seamless finish, each and every time. The foundation imparts such a lovely natural finish that makes skin look like a perfected–yet believable–version of itself and it’s skincare-oriented ingredients guarantee that my sensitive canvas will benefit from each application.
*La Prairie Cellular Treatment Loose Powder: This whisper-light translucent powder blurs pores and imperfections while masterfully setting makeup and banishing shine. The generous jar comes with a silken powderpuff and a travel sized version that makes tossing this in one’s purse an utter breeze. It’s like getting two powders for the price of one…happy to share the secret on this one!
*La Prairie Cellular Treatment Bronzing Powder: I was initially intrigued by the good reviews on this bronzer and am delighted that my experience with it resonates with its praise. Exceptional for the summer months when one craves a warm veil of color, this buildable powder effortlessly blends into skin for a believable bronze hue. I like to sweep it along the hollows of my cheeks and around the perimeters of my face to add a sunny flash of depth and dimension.
*La Prairie Cellular Radiance Cream Blush in Peach Glow and Plum Glow (reviewed HERE and HERE): Ever in my makeup bag, these exquisite cream blushes were perhaps my first favorite within my now-vast La Prairie menagerie. Equal parts color and radiance, the formula blends out like a dream (I use my fingers and focus on the apples of the cheeks, blending outwards towards my temples) and makes skin look lit-from-within. The pale pink Peach Glow can also double as a highlighter on medium, tan and deep skin while the juicy Plum Glow a slightly deeper flush that still looks entirely natural and ever so apropos for a subtle summer tan. Try them…you won’t regret it!
// EYES + LIPS // Rich earth tones and delicate pinky nude elements work together for a versatile day-to-night look.
*La Prairie Cellular Treatment Eye Color Ensemble in Les Epices: Breathtakingly beautiful, this quad features four finely-milled eyeshadows in luxe earth tones that each possess magnificent color payoff. Pale champagne, lush bronze, intense aubergine and radiant olive green harmoniously work to create a neutral eye with unexpected accents. To create the look in this story, I blended the bronze shade on my upper lid and lower lash line, applied a bit of the champagne up to my brow bone and swept the olive green along the center of my upper lid to punctuate the orbital region. For evening, I would blend a touch of the aubergine in the crease for a smokier effect.
*La Prairie Luxe Lip Liner Automatique in Nude (reviewed HERE): This delicate and creamy neutral pinky beige hue effortlessly defines lips and makes a quintessential base for subsequent lipstick application, enhancing dimension and extending the longevity of any shade. It must be noted that this genius pencil is retractable, making carrying a separate sharpener a thing of the past!
I have been a fan of the *La Prairie Cellular Luxe Lip Color for years and some of my favorites–as to be expected–reside in the peachy pink nude realm:
*Almost Pink (worn later in this story): A pearly warm nude pink with a chic 1960s ingenue vibe…like Audrey Hepburn in Two for the Road.
*Pink Coral (worn later in this story): A stunning coral with excellent color payoff and a nearly opaque finish.
*Melon: A soft peachy pink with golden duo shift, this hue is universally-flattering and so easy to apply on the go.
*Rose Bronze: A warm rose with bronzy undertones, this is a special take on a “my lips but better” tone.

// STYLE NOTES // I love changing up the look of a simple floral slip dress (reviewed HERE) with a tee shirt underneath…
Lace Trimmed Slip Dress: In a breezy fit and exceptional price, I am totally smitten with this timeless frock.
Rodarte Tee: I picked up this particular tee a few seasons ago but found a great selection of Rodarte casual wear HERE and I also discovered a similar tee (non-Rodarte, but a perfectly weathered, rock and roll heather gray option) that is currently available HERE.
Last look.

Bottom Line: I truly hope you enjoyed this summer look featuring my favorites products from La Prairie; the brand holds a special place in this luxury beauty lover’s heart and these particular skincare and beauty gems have earned their rightful position in my heavy rotation category!
What are some of YOUR favorite La Prairie products? Do tell!
Good things ahead, including a fresh video tutorial and a host of new product procurements…xx,
You are stunning as always Rachel! I especially enjoyed this post. I was turned on to this LP foundation a few years ago when you featured the old version. Of course, with that price tag, I did not just run out and purchase it. However, any time I thought that your skin looked particularly flawless in a post I would always check what you were wearing and it was almost always this foundation. After numerous samples I finally made the purchase little over a year ago, and it has been true love ever since! This foundation is just incredible. Thank you for helping me discover it!
Now to deviate just a bit; have you ever used the Suqqu cream foundation (the original one)? It is lovely as well. If only Suqqu would come to the US!
Thank you so much, Ashlyn! I much appreciate your kind comment and am so glad you enjoyed this story! Yes, I am still a major fan of the La Prairie foundation…it never fails me and I am happy you feel the same way.
I have indeed tried the Suqqu cream foundation–I have both the Extra Rich and the Frame Fix versions and they are simply lovely and well worth the pursuit!
