Today’s post pays homage to a sunlit fall day in Mayfair, London; featuring trousers, trainers and a divinely fresh foundation from Suqqu, it’s a casual stroll through some of my favorite skincare and beauty products as of late.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the
Biologique Recherche P50 PIGM 400: I’ve been using this off and on (only at night) for the past six months and wildly pleased with how smooth, bright and clear it seems to make my face. I’ll be repurchasing soon…believe the hype.
*Le Metier de Beaute Longevity Creme (reviewed HERE): The fact that I am now on jar #3 of this exceptional formula confirms my affinity for this hydrating formula; applied AM and PM, it clarifies, retextures and tones without annoying peeling…my skin simply adores it.
*La Prairie Skin Caviar Luxe Eye Lift Cream (reviewed HERE): Just a dab (day and night) of this opulent cream moisturizes my orbital region, fighting fine lines and lifting signs of fatigue for radiant eyes.
Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #2(reviewed HERE): An unequivocal part of my routine, a pea-sized amount all over my face adds moisture, SPF and a sheer tinted glow that is unparalleled.
*Becca Velvet Blurring Primer (reviewed HERE): Just a pump blurs pores, making foundation smooth on effortlessly for a naturally perfected-looking canvas.
*Playa Every Day Shampoo (also available at Playa and reviewed HERE): True to its moniker, this shampoo has been a part of my weekly hair routine lately; the clean ingredients, gentle formula and intoxicating scent are a hair care trifecta and the volume and shine that ensues is undeniable.
Suqqu frame Fix Moisturizing Solid Foundation in 203 Warm Bisque: The star of the look that follows, this new foundation comes in a solid cream state; the airtight compact allows for portable application on the go and the lasting medium coverage that wears flawlessly for 10+ hours is a foundationphile’s dream come true. Skin looks even, radiant (but not overtly glowy) and inordinately smooth while still appearing completely natural. The formula is fragrance-free and friendly to sensitive skin; my exact match is #203 (my general shade in all Suqqu formulas) and I have worn this countless times (10+) since returning home from London where I purchased it. I have swatches of all seven shades below and cannot recommend this enough!
*Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Almond (reviewed HERE): A swipe in my under eye region brightens while banishing dark circles with a creamy and creaseless veil of color.
*Hourglass Ambient Edit Volume 3(reviewed HERE): I used the bronzer and blush hues to add dimension, definition and warmth my face; this palette is a befitting and utterly utilitarian travel companion!
*Chantecaille Cheek Gelee in Lively: Warmer and peachier than the light pink Happy, this new shade makes cheeks look lit from within with sheer and juicy color…so beautiful.
*Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand(reviewed HERE): A little of this illuminator goes a long way to deliver light to the high points of the face…I focused application on my upper cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose for an ethereal glow.
*Volition Beauty Oil Control Mattifying Mist: Marvelous for travel, this spray mattifies while maintaining the dewy luster of a natural skin finish. Also fantastic to refresh skin mid-day, it’s been a constant in my travel carryon and day-to-day work bag.
*Suqqu Designing Color Eyeshadow Palette 06: One look at this ravishing quad and I knew it must come with me. Replete with soft pearl white, silvered grey, emboldened beet pink and rich chocolate brown, this quartet–which is somehow neutral despite the unique hues–is excellent for the cooler months.
*IT Cosmetics Brow Powerand Brow Brush: Lightweight, brow building and waterproof in a universal deep taupe with absolutely no warm tones (!), this versatile brow powder fills in, defines and adds lasting dimension to brows in mere seconds.
*Glossier Boy Brow in Clear: For additional hold, I love this clear version to tame errant brows and finish them with a feathery look.
*Hourglass Confession Lipstick in No One Knows(reviewed HERE): A single coat of this full coverage wonder envelopes lips in a pinky peach veil of long lasting color. This is one of my absolute favorite shades from this genius release.

Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES //
Ragdoll LA Vintage Mesh Tee: This tee is perfection for minimalist lovers who enjoy a twist. With a classic cut and subtle mesh inset, it can be dressed up or down with ease, making it a wardrobe must.
Black Leather Moto Jacket: I have worn mine for years and it just seems to get better with time…a wardrobe staple, indeed.
Nike Air Huarache with Leopard Print: I purchased this brilliant pair of tennis shoes in the late afternoon after walking around London (5+ miles!) in heels. My feet needed a break and I picked out this sleek and endlessly comfortable pair in less than two minutes…the black, neutral and leopard color motif will look fabulous with pants, jeans and dresses alike.
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this on-location feature and implore you to consider the Suqqu frame Fix Lasting Pact Foundation if you are as fanatical about cream base formulas as I am! IT’s truly worth the pursuit.
I would love to know which products in this story caught YOUR eye…do tell!
Hi Rachel, u look stunning. Miss chatting with you. I absolutely love the finish of the Suqqu foundation but unsure of shade. I'm light/med neutral. B40 in ysl all hours but they run light. sx06 in Kevin Aucoin etherealist bisque in Tom Ford stick foundation. What u think and where is the quicker place to order and not overly high in shipping. Hugs to u andHappy Thanksgiving to u and your family.
Lovely to hear from you! Thank you so much. I miss chatting with you as well. I am guessing that you will be good in #203 (like me) as it is a great neutral light-medium beige or, perhaps, #003 for something a smidge lighter. I find that this formula runs pretty light so either one could be a good match. I order Suqqu from Selfridges (linked in this story) and find that it's the most effective way of getting the product (generally in less than a week). I truly hope that helps!
XO and happy Thanksgiving to you and your family as well…talk soon,

Hi again Rachel I was thinking #202. It's winter here and I'm lighter than summer. Your input is much appreciated.
