The *Jouer Cosmetics Holiday 2017 Collection has arrived at Beautylish (also available on the Jouer site); featuring beautifully packaged, limited-edition sets in mini sizes that are perfect companions for makeup bags and traveling, the collection will have you wanting to gift others–and yourself–with wild abandon!
I’ve combined the collection with the gorgeous *Natasha Denona Sunset Palette, which was recently restocked, resulting in a fresh and festive look that resonates with the holiday months ahead.
First up, the *Jouer Powder Highlight Trio in Rose Gold, Skinny Dip and Ice (reviewed HERE) represent a stunning expanse of illuminators that impart flattering light to the face. Finely-milled and blendable, these mini-sized compacts are incredibly convenient and the three shades in Set #1 are all one needs to create a believable lit-from-within glow.
The shades in the second set of the *Jouer Powder Highlight Trio include Topaz, Citrine and Rose Quartz (reviewed HERE). Topaz is deep enough to serve as an incandescent bronzer for fair and light skin tones and the golden Citrine and pink Rose Quartz lean warm and cool, respectively, for extreme versatility.
The *Jouer Best of Metallics Mini Lip Creme Set (shades and formula previously reviewed HERE) is brimming with six creamy shades with delicately metallic finishes. Citronade Rose (reviewed HERE) has been a favorite for years now and the warm nude Praline and duo-chrome Papaye are equally intriguing.
Shades include:
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Bronze Rose: metallic cool deep rose
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Citronade Rose: metallic ballet pink
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Clove: metallic warm deep burgundy brown
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Snapdragon: metallic cool frosty plum
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Praline: metallic cool bronzed pink
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Papaye: metallic warm peach
The *Jouer Best of Deeps Mini Lip Creme Set (shades and formula previously reviewed HERE) includes a spectrum of six rich liquid lip color hues with spectacular color payoff. The creamy shades are perfectly aligned with the holiday-laden months ahead and I am particularly captivated by the reddish brown Cerise Noir and lushly red Cranberry.
Shades include:
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Aubergine: matte cool dark dusty violet (new)
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Cerise Noir: matte cool black cherry (new)
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Truffle: matte warm dark chocolate brown (new)
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Noisette: matte warm chocolate brown
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Dahlia: metallic cool electric plum
Long-Wear Lip Crème in Cranberry: metallic cool cranberry red
The *Jouer Best of Lip Toppers Mini Gift Set features all five original lip toppers and two new shades in miniature sizes that pack an immense amount of punch. Infinitely glimmering and delightfully non-sticky, these cellophane shades look incredible by themselves or over lip liner and serve a transformative purpose over traditional lipstick and liquid lip color. The beige Skinny Dip and pale pink St. Tropez rank among my favorite in the range.
Shades include:
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Stardust: metallic shimmering golden coral (new)
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Sugar Plum: shimmering wine with gold flecks (new)
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Frost Bite: metallic shimmering snowy pearl
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Skinny Dip: metallic shimmering golden nude (reviewed HERE)
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Rose Gold: metallic shimmering rose gold (reviewed HERE)
Long-Wear Lip Topper in Tan Lines: metallic shimmering bronze (reviewed HERE
Long-Wear Lip Topper in St. Tropez: metallic shimmering champagne (reviewed HERE))
*Jouer Essential High Coverage Creme Foundation in Fawn(reviewed HERE): Buffed on with a dampened Beauty Blender, a dime-sized amount of this foundation offers natural-looking full coverage with a lasting finish. A comprehensive overview with swatches of every shade can be found HERE.
*Marc Jacobs Beauty O-Mega Bronzer (reviewed HERE): I swept a bit of this natural tan hue along the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face for warmth and definition. This bronzer is exceptional!
*Chantecaille Cheek Gelee in Lively (reviewed HERE): Just a dot of this apricot hue blended on the apples of my cheeks adds a subtle flush and luminosity.
*Jouer Powder Highlight Trio in Skinny Dip and Ice: I buffed the warm champagne Skinny Dip along my upper cheek bones and swept the pearlescent Ice down the bridge of my nose, finishing with a touch on my Cupid’s bow.
*Natasha Denona Sunset Palette (also available at Sephora): I am over the moon for this opulent palette; replete with 15 matte and shimmer shadow shades in a spectrum of warm neutrals, this palette delivers coppers, bronzes, golds and browns with impressive potency. The shadows are buttery, blendable and boast crease-free wear for hours…I used a mix of Bronze Age, Aubade and Mandarin for the look below.
*Jouer Best of Metallics Mini Lip Creme in Citronade Rose(also reviewed HERE): Although this formula is designed for the lips, I blended a bit of this cool pink shade on my lids for extra luminosity and a rosy shift in color. I love multi-taskers!
Thanks for the most beautiful photos & look of Jouer Holiday Collection I have seen so far ❤️!! Jouer highlighters are my all time faves and love Skinny Dip Lip Topper too! Love my Cranberry (the best red ever) and Dulce De Leche Lip Creams too, even if I can't wear even them every day, because of liquid lippies are too drying for my lips. I also love St Tropez Lip Topper shade, but the formula is totally different than Skinny Dip. At least my St Tropez has zero coverage and it feels too gritty on lips :/ Do I have faulty St Tropez or is the formula different?
