–The Complete Face–
// SKIN + BASE ETC. //
*Le Metier de Beaute Detoxifying Charcoal and Coconut Face Mask: This clarifying formula looks downright ethereal on the skin once it dries down; the glassy texture is intriguing, indeed! That being said, the active charcoal and soothing coconut work to gently cleanse pores without irritation, leaving my skin hydrated, clarified and extra glowy.
*Rahua Amazon Oil (also available at Net-A-Porter): Originating in the rain forest and rich with anti-oxidants, this multipurpose oil can be used on face and body to moisturize and tone…I love the incredible ingredients and long-lasting hydration, especially in the dry winter air.
*Decorte Sheer Brilliance in Medium (reviewed HERE): I applied just a few drops of this tinted base to even my complexion; it smells incredible, imparts a subtle glow and possesses impressive SPF…truly a brilliant formula.
*Jo Malone Wood Sage & Sea Salt Cologne: This new fragrance discovery is utterly divine; reminiscent of a walk along a forested sea cliff, the woodsy notes are offset by a refreshing wave of oceanic presence. I own nothing like it in my current fragrance wardrobe and, consequently, am thrilled to add it to the mix.
*Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Topaz: Applied with the *Wayne Goss Rose Gold Air-Brush (reviewed HERE), this cool rosy nude highlighter is unlike anything else in my collection. The illuminator is simply gorgeous, imparting a touch of color and lavish amount of incandescence. I applied it to my upper cheekbones and down the bridge of my nose.
*Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerize in Jean: A silky champagne-platinum hue with plenty of luminosity, this cream eyeshadow formula resists creasing and wears flawlessly for hours on end. It’s a breezy wash of color that should be in everyone’s makeup bag…truly classic.
*Le Metier de Beaute Dualistic Eyeliner in Azul and Roxo: The newest additions to the LMdB line, these color-rich eyeliners in peacock green and russet-meets-garnet glide on and stay in place. For the look below, I applied Azul in my lower water line and Roxo along my upper lash line for a creative yet wearable take on color.
*Blue Lagoon Iceland Lip Balm: Exceptionally hydrating, this new balm discovery–which harnesses the power of Blue Lagoon Algae–is well worth the pursuit.
*Charlotte Tilbury Walk of Shame: Boasting excellent color payoff, I swept a single coat of this warm berry shade onto my lips.
*Lipstick Queen Altered Universe Lip Gloss in Time Warp and Space Cadet (also available at Neiman Marcus): The latest from the venerable Lipstick Queen, both of these glimmering glosses are brimming with light-reflecting particles that bathe lips in an incandescent wash of subtle color. In the images that follow, I applied the pink-tinged Time Warp over Walk of Shame for a tender glow and I can’t wait to wear the cooler-toned pearly Space Cadet over nude lip liner. Non-sticky with excellent lasting power, this is tastefully-executed shimmer for grown ups!
Swatches in direct sunlight.
