By some bizarre twist of time, we have nearly reached the midpoint of December and many of us are frantically rushing to complete our shopping for family and friends. To assist in this hectic season, I am excited to share a comprehensive list of gift suggestions–from skincare and books to lip color and style–to offer ideas and inspiration as you check everyone off of your list (including yourself!).
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the suggestions in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Still trying to finish your holiday shopping? I have ideas a plenty!
Skincare.
// SKINCARE //
*111 Skin Meso Infusion Lip Duo: A high-tech formula to deeply hydrate and softly plump the lips, consider this a lavish skincare treatment rather than a typical lip product!
*RODIN olio lusso Luxury Face Oil: Holding its cult classic position as the luxury face oil to have in one’s rotation, I am over the moon for this plush and moisturizing formula that is immediately absorbed into one’s skin…this is the perfect skincare gift for anyone on your list due its immense versatility.
*Amore Pacific Treatment Enzyme Peel: Gentle exfoliation through the use of enzymes (in powder form) rather than traditional exfoliants, this formula makes my skin baby soft…it must be tried to be believed.
// HOME + HAIRCARE // Gifts that will be deeply appreciated and utilized.
*Molton Brown Fabled Juniper Candle: The scent of the season, this marvelous candle is reminiscent of a lush pine forest…equal parts invigorating and relaxing.
*Marble Wet Brush + Mini Styling Iron: This brush adeptly works its way through the tangles of wet hair while avoiding breakage…it’s a miracle! The lovely marble version is currently available with a mini straightener making it excellent for this month of gift-giving.
Fragrance.
// FRAGRANCE // Three scents to appeal to every mood.
*Houbigant Quelques Fleurs Royale EDP: An opulent floral with a sensuous dry down, this juice boasts complex notes of black current, rose, cedar wood and vanilla.
*Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio: Creamy and immensely blendable, this timeless trio features a true brown to contour and add warmth, a lively coral pink to deliver a natural flush and a gossamer highlighter…it’s super pretty and extremely utilitarian as the formula can also be worn on eyes and lips.
*Edward Bess Marbelized Rose Gold Powder: A decadent swirl of gold, champagne and pink imparts veil of light on the face; this is the kind of gift that looks just as incredible on the face as it does in the packaging.
*MAC Show Ball Smoky Pink Eye Bag: Possessing two luminous eyeshadow (in tender pink and soft grey), a retractable eyeliner and a lush mascara, this is a beautiful gift to give an eye make lover in your life.
*Tom Ford Private Shadow in Body Double and Loveshade: A luminous golden bronze and soft satin peach-meets-rose, I have been wearing this muted pairing on my eyes nonstop…it’s a neutral minimalist’s dream come true.
*Sisley-Paris Phyto-Sourcils Design 3-in-1 Eyebrow Pencil in Chatain: Dual side brilliance, this tool features a creamy brow pencil, a highlighting powder (for brow bones that pops) and a spoolie to tame and align on the go. This new launch is a multi-tasking feat and well worth the pursuit.
// LIPS // Nude, bold and radiant tones to capture the festivity of the season.
*Nude Envie Lip Liner: A quintessential nude beige that effortlessly defines the perimeters of one’s lips while blending with any lip color…so good.
*Marc Jacobs Enamored Lip Gloss in Sugar Sugar, Skin Deep, Ch-ch-changes, Raspberry Beret (worn at the end of this post) and Boys Don’t Cry: Fantastic color payoff and insane shine punctuate this glorious, non-sticky formula.
*Givenchy Le Rouge Sculpt Lipstick in #2 Violine: Two tones work in harmony to define and sculpt lips while bathing them in a color-drenched cloak. Violine is the color of season…embrace it.
*Laura Mercier Velour Extreme Matte Lipstick in Vibe, Fierce, Clique and Cool: The latest from Laura Mercier involves a retractable bullet of intense velvety matte lip color that feels immensely comfortable and wears flawlessly for hours. I will be sharing swatches of all 24 shades–there is indeed a color for everyone–soon and in the meanwhile, I am **wearing Vibe in the images at the end of this post.
*Rudela & Co Silk/Blender: This solid silicone gem behaves like a traditional beauty blender without the porous surface associated with a usual sponge…affordable and pure genius!
*tenoverten Fulton Nail Polish: A demure nude beige with exceptionally creamy opacity and a brilliant 10-free ingredients list.
*Love + Sage Lip Balm in Beach Rose: Lightly scented and divinely lush, this natural balm yields a soft pink tint that is addictive, indeed.
Two of my favorite shades from Lawless Beauty…Jake and Brad.
Swatches in outdoor lighting.
Makeup bag non-negotiables.
// NON-NEGOTIABLE NEUTRALS // For this section of the most, I merely spilled my makeup bag for the week and am sharing the warm neutral contents with you!
*Hourglass Panoramic Lip Pencil in Canvas: My new favorite lipliner as of late, this pinky nude creates serious coverage that stays in place the entire day without drying or flaking off…it is truly sublime.
// READING MATERIAL // With a focus on fashion, beauty, love and the female experience, here are five books that I consistently recommend.
The Price of Illusion by Joan Juliet Buck: I read this riveting memoir in two days; in other words, I couldn’t put it down. Detailing Ms. Buck’s illustrious path as a writer for a vast array of publications including Vogue and Vanity Fair, the book is poignant, emotive and inspiring.
Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann: Indulgence on every level, I read this cult-classic every couple of years for a dramatic departure from everyday life.
The Beautiful Fall by Alicia Drake: With a heavy focus on glamour, the 1970s Paris setting transports the reader to a pre-Internet time in history, rife with an insider’s look at emerging fashion icons in their element.
Gidget by Frederick Kohner: One of my favorite books of life, this timeless coming-of-age tome was way ahead of its time. One read and you’ll know what I mean…pick one up for you and the young daughter or niece in your life!
*Links by Lisa Becker: A breezy love story with an intellectual edge, bring this new release on your winter vacation for escapism with refreshingly real touch.
// GIVING TO HELP OTHERS // My husband and I have sponsored a child through World Vision for years and feel so strongly about the important work the organization is doing to assist the impoverished. This year, I am excited to highlight the World Vision gift catalog, which offers a spectrum of incredible handcrafted gifts that help children in need all over the globe. Some of my favorite picks include:
*The Hope Bracelet: This adjustable golden cuff is a gorgeous fusion of nature and metal.
*The Infinity Scarf: Super soft and billowing, this scarf comes in a color palette that will flatter a spectrum of skin tones.
*The African Soapstone Box: Excellent for animal lovers, it’s a perfectly unique place to house one’s treasures.
*The Charm Necklace: Featuring tiny charms on a long silver chain, this necklace will please those with the most eclectic taste.
*The Wraparound Ring: Two offset stones catch light in a graceful and sophisticated way (also shown HERE).
*The Vietnamese Tote: Hand-embroidered and remarkably roomy, this fabric bag works to carry a variety of day-to-day items.
Ulta: I wholly recommend the gorgeous *MAC Snow Ball Lip Bag in Nude, which includes Pro-Longwear Lip Pencil in Doubletime, Creamsheen lipstick in Sending Love and a Lip Glass in Iced Dream (swatches below!). Buy one for yourself and a couple of others to gift…it’s that good.

Likewise (as I’m sure I’ve commented before), I adore the mind-bendingly exquisite Baccarat Rouge 540. xx
