The month of February has been a bit of flash…from being back to lecturing in the classroom regularly to a seemingly never-ending set of boxes to unpack (still going!) I didn’t want to let any more time go by without sharing the resplendent *Viseart Tryst Paletteas well as a host of other beauty (specifically, lip color galore) and skincare products that have been on heavy rotation this month.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in actin as well as the Bottom Line…
Up first, the *Viseart Tryst Paletteis a rosy neutral lover’s dream. The Viseart formula is exemplary…buttery and crease-resistant with noteworthy color payoff, the shades blend with little-to-no fallout and can even be applied wet for enhanced intensity.

// LIPSTICK etc. // Heavy on pinks with a dash of nude for good measure, here is my lipstick line up of the month.
*Stila Glitter & Glow Kitten Karma: Technically not a lipstick but every bit as beautiful, I had to include this quintessential blend of champagne, gold and silver which makes eyes dance with light. A little of this crease-free formula goes a long way so apply with restraint and dazzle the world.
*C’est Moi Luminary Lip Crayon in Fresh: Quality ingredients and an accessible price-point collide with the C’est Moi line and Fresh is a lip loving neutral that feels like a plush balm.
*Tom Ford Lips & Boys in Rinko(reviewed HEREand HERE): One of my favorite Tom Ford pinky peaches, this shade has a luminous finish that delivers a volumizing effect.
*Tom Ford Paradiso (reviewed HERE): A bold coral that works for all seasons, I love how it instantly brightens the face in a single coat.
*Lipstick Queen Girls Will Be Boys: Although it may look grey in the tube, this revolutionary formula transforms to a custom shade of cool-toned matte pink in seconds…it must be tried to be appreciated and believed!
*Sisley-Paris Phyto Lip Twist Mat in Ballet (reviewed HERE): A sophisticated peachy pink nude with a high dose of velvety moisture, this is a must have for spring and summer. **Worn at the end of this post.
Because the collection is limited edition and ever so apropos for the warmer months ahead, I wanted to offer a closer look at the four shades of *Lipstick Queen Dating Game Lipstick. With opaque and creamy coverage, this lively range of pinks will complement a spectrum of skin tones, instantly brightens the face in a single swipe:
Good Catch: Mid-toned neutral pink
Mr. Right: Strawberry pink
Bad Boy: Classic hot pink
Mr. Right Now: A slightly purple-leaning bright pink **Worn at the end of this post.
*Lawless Beauty Soft Matte Lip Color in Parker, Alex and Prince: A blendable trio of pinks with a soft matte finish (I love mixing Parker and Alex for the perfect rosy hue), keep reading for a closeup on this formula.
*Givenchy Gloss Interdit #16 Noir Revelator: Don’t let the nearly black tone of this lip gloss daunt you…the sheer formula adapts to a rich berry tone that makes lips look fresh and juicy. **Worn at the end of this post.
*By Terry Baume de Rose Crystalline: One of my favorite By Terry formulas to date, this glossy baume de rose version works day and night (always on my bedside) to indulge lips in moisture.
Lawless Beauty recently released three new shades in the *Soft Matte Lip Color (other shades reviewed HERE). This ultra-clean formula has a creamy feel and hyper intense color payoff that envelopes lips and lasts for hours. The new shades–which I love to mix for a custom hue–include:
Bursting with rich color and metallic allure, the *Kevyn Aucoin Molten Lip Color Gemsbathe lips in a luminous wash of duo-chrome shine. Moisturizing, non-sticky and entirely intriguing, the new shades include:
Pink Crystal: Soft baby pink with gold and silver shifts
Fire Amber: Sun-kissed citron with a golden base
Violet Quartz: Cool heather grey mauve with violet undertones
Blue Amethyst: Lush purple with lilac shine
Poppy Topaz: Coral pink with golden undertones
Magenta Sapphire: Fuchsia pink with cool luminosity
From L-R: Pink Crystal, Fire Amber, Violet Quartz, Blue Amethyst, Poppy Topaz and Magenta Sapphire.
Finally, February wouldn’t be complete *Jouer Long-Wear Lip Topper in Sweetheart (other shades reviewed HERE); this raspberry red hue has marvelous color-payoff and a super shiny finish that looks just as incredible on its own as it does taking existing lip color to the next level.
*Rodin Olio Lusso Geranium & Orange Blossom: I am entranced with this fragrant opulent beauty oil; excellent as a moisturizing base, it can also be used on hair, hands and nails for intense hydration.
*MustaeV Lustrous Cream Base(review HERE): This versatile base from the Korean skincare and beauty line MustaeV can be used as an all-over illuminator or mixed with foundation to increase incandescence and the opalescent hue works with a spectrum of skin tones.
*Ellis Faas Skin Veil Foundation 103.5: Worn in the images at the end of this post, this new shade is a perfect match for my NC 25-27 dead of winter skin. The velvety skin finish blurs imperfections while appearing virtually invisible and I get all-day lasting power with a single pump. Truly divine!
*Physician’s Formula Butter Highlighter in Iridescent: This creamy illuminator smells like coconut (!) and glides onto skin with a luminous, gossamer finish. The iridescence shifts pink and is gorgeous on the high points of the face and down the bridge of the nose.
*Estee Lauder Perfectionist Pro Wrinkle Filler: Just a tiny bit of this formula instantly banishes fine lines on the surface while encouraging the skin’s own production of collagen with regular use.
*MAC Prep + Prime Fix+ (reviewed HERE): The timeless clear formula works wonders to set makeup, simultaneously removing all signs of the dreaded powdery finish. I also like to use as a mid-day refresher and beauty blender sponge dampener.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540(reviewed HERE): My daily fragrance for nearly two years, I am at the end of this bottle…practically every time I wear it, someone asks me what my fragrance is. It’s simply that good.
*Rossano Ferretti Vita Shampoo: Boasting botanical actives including camellia and ginseng, this Italian-made shampoo cleanses without stripping, invigorating the scalp for hair with extra bounce.

Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric #600(reviewed HERE): A pure brown tan with an ultra-flattering finish, this shade is a modern classic. I used it to gently sculpt the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face.
Ragdoll Tee in Army: I have exactly two of these super soft tees in the most perfect army green…once you try Ragdoll (luxe yet casual and they get better with every wash), you’ll have trouble going back to regular tee shirts!
Milan Sweatshirt: I bought this 90s-inspired sweatshirt on a whim and have been wearing it nonstop since then (it’s been cold at the beach!). I love the oversized vibe (I sized up to a medium) and the fact that it matches nearly everything.
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this look at the stunning *Viseart Tryst Palette as well as a swatch-heavy overview of some of the lip color and beauty products on heavy rotation here at Beauty Professor.
I would love to know what caught your eye…do tell!
Almost, but not quite, totally overwhelmed by all the fabulous swatches. I am very interested in the Lipstick Queen lippies. I love her formulas! I don't have any Rodin oils and the Geranium Orange Blossom sounds like a heavenly scent. Must test it as it sounds fabulous. I have Kitten Karma and absolutely love it. I wear it to walk the dogs and on trips to the park. Why save something so fabulous for a night out?

I've yet to try Viseart shadows, but I think I found the one that weakens my resistance.
