Springtime testing at Beauty Professor headquarters is in full force and today, I am excited to share some fresh releases from three of my favorite beauty brands: Charlotte Tilbury, Marc Jacobs Beauty and Suqqu, along with a full beauty look and some home and style elements I recently picked up.

Since its arrival stateside over three years ago, Charlotte Tilbury continually releases products that consistently find their way into my regular beauty rotation. Equal parts luxurious and wearable, these latest launches take one’s complexion to the next-level, enveloping skin in a glowy and burnished veil that resonates with the warmer months ahead. Some key spring products I’ve been loving include:
- *Charlotte Tilbury Brightening Youth Glow: This color-correcting primer possesses an incandescence that instantly blurs fine lines and imperfections while preparing the face for the foundation to come. Brimming with skincare benefits that help skin to look its brightest over time, this multi-tasker is an exquisite anti-aging step before anyone’s foundation routine.
- *Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Blush Glow: With a true tan bronzer on one side and a radiant pink blush on the other, this compact adeptly sculpts the face and finished the look with a youthful flush that looks lit-from-within. It’s the quickest way to craft a super-flattering face in mere seconds.
- Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter #4 (also reviewed HERE): I have shared my sentiments on this intriguing hybrid product on multiple occasions since purchasing last month; the lightly tinted illuminating cream can serve as a primer, light foundation and/or highlighter, bathing the skin in light with a single stroke. I like to apply a bit before foundation and then focus application on the high points of my face following foundation for a ethereal glow. It perfects the skin like nothing I have ever tried before!
- *Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Opium Noir: Much darker than my usual, I am still smitten with this vampy matte oxblood shade that immediately brightens the face and whitens the teeth. Creamy and lightweight with incredible pigmentation, this lip color allows for makeup minimalism everywhere else on the face…oh, and it’s marvelously hydrating for a matte formula.

| The *Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation SPF 25 |
Next up, I’ve been experimenting with the *Marc Jacobs Beauty Shameless Youthful-Look 24 Hour Foundation SPF 25 (also available at Sephora and Marc Jacobs Beauty) and *Foundation Brush #4 for the past month and am ready to weigh in with my experience.
Housed in an innovative and portable pod (tactile doesn’t even begin to describe it), this foundation features buildable medium coverage with a natural matte finish that looks like real skin. The SPF 25 is encapsulated in pigment, virtually eliminating the risk of flashback in photographs and, although I haven’t tested it for a full 24 hours (a girl has to sleep sometime!), the wear time is substantial (7-8 hours) nonetheless.
I find that 3-4 pea-sized drops give me the medium coverage that I desire; the foundation buffs away unevenness and imperfections, creating a fresh-faced canvas that wears evenly while lasting the day. The shade range is impressive and I have found my best match is Y370, a medium beige with true olive (rather than peachy) undertones.
All in all, this versatile fragrance-foundation is sure to be a hit with a spectrum of skin types and tones due to its coverage, wear time and shade availability…it’s my favorite base formula in the Marc Jacobs Beauty family thus far!

| *Suqqu Design Colour Eyeshadow #114 Hanaakari |
Finally, I have been wearing a lot of the resplendent *Suqqu Design Colour Eyeshadow #114 Hanaakari. Radiantly endowed with a bronzy pink motif, this palette is a singularly beautiful take on a rosy eye. Although it appears to be currently sold out at Selfridges and Harrods, I found some reasonable options on eBay, which will allow you to experience this limited-edition gem before it’s gone for good!
The four shades–which are buttery with immense color payoff–in the palette include:
- Iridescent pearl pink
- Twinkling true pink with a gossamer finish…I have nothing like this shade in my entire collection
- Light rose gold bronze
- Rich matte brown
Easy to wear with stunning lasting power, this palette is an utter masterpiece.

- Equipment France blush sweater (also on sale in a slightly different style): I wear this super soft sweater year round…it’s warm yet lightweight in the most muted shade of nude.
- Frame Le Skinny de Jeanne jeans: With a medium rise and a slim fit, these jeans are a true classic.
- Blue velvet chair: I ordered this chair for our new house and couldn’t be happier…the velvet slip cover is removable and washable and the mid-century styling features soft cushions and a swivel seat…so good and wildly affordable.
- Shell dish: Mine is antique, but I found a couple similar options HERE and HERE.
