I hope your June is off to a marvelous start, dear readers! After returning home from New York, I was stricken with a pernicious cold and, gratefully, am finally on the other side following a full week of rest Consequently, I am excited to share an effortless summer look, featuring new launches from LAWLESS Beauty, Kevyn Aucoin and Charlotte Tilbury as well as one of my favorite facial gadgets to date.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
To open, I can’t wait to introduce you to the *LAWLESS Woke Up Like This Flawless Finish Foundation, which launched this week at Sephora. Boasting impeccably clean ingredients and full coverage with a natural satin finish, I predict that this base–which comes in 20 diverse shades–will be a hit for many.
A singular pump of this highly concentrated foundation is all that is necessary to provide immense coverage that still looks like fresh and natural skin. Since it’s formulated for all skin types, it is fairly low-maintenance in application (I prefer a dampened Beauty Blender) and lasts a solid 6-7 hours before I even think about needing to touch up. Rife with skincare benefits and completely sunscreen free (for those, like me, who prefer to add SPF as a separate step), this base represents a resplendent harmony between premium ingredients and impressive performance.

Shade Descriptions (with their MAC equivalents, per my experience):
// SKINCARE // Here is a range of fresh discoveries and tried and true favorites to keep skin at its best.
*DECORTE Clean and Pure Makeup Wipes: I’ve been loving these opulent cleansing cloths for removing makeup on the go (especially in the midst of lots of travel)…they banish every last trace of even the most stubborn eye makeup while leaving skin balanced and fresh.
*Koh Gen Do Cleansing Spa Water: Forever a cult-classic, I have run through 7+ bottles of this original micellar water in the past 6 years. It treats skin with the utmost of respect while masterfully cleansing.
*BY TERRY Cellularose Detoxilyn City Serum (reviewed HERE): I like to apply a single pump of this weightless serum all over freshly cleansed skin for light moisture and all-day anti-aging benefits.
*Skin Inc. Pure Revival Peel (reviewed HERE): When I want to combat dullness and increase radiance, I reach for this gentle peel, which sloughs of dead skin and dirt without the slightest opportunity for irritation.
*Orlane Creme Royal Body Cream: As luxe as it’s moniker implies, this body cream drenches limbs (I focus on arms, legs and décolleté) in hydration while feeing like a dream. In a word, it’s sublime.
*DECORTE 3D Line Control (reviewed HERE): Dubbed “Botox in a tube” this refining gel instantly blurs fine lines and wrinkles (and can be applied under or over makeup) while actually combating those lines on the long term. It’s makeup bag-sized one-two punch that your face will thank you for!
*ReFa S Carat Eye & Lip Facial Roller Tool: Lightweight and compact (making it brilliant for travel), this tool gently massages the contours of the face, encouraging lymphatic drainage, heightened skincare efficacy and puffiness reduction through increased circulation. Each time I use it before bed, I awake with plump and healthy looking skin and the wealth of Internet reviews for this innovation are equally glowing…it’s, quite possibly, a perfect tool.
Next, the four new shades of the *Kevyn Aucoin The Neo-Blush are pure summertime luxury and I’ve been reaching for a couple of them (namely Grapevine and Pink Sand) constantly since receiving last month. Diminutive and, consequently, makeup bag friendly, the compacts feature an ombre schema that moves from pearly highlighter to pigmented matte blush in matter of millimeters.
As aforementioned, I am partial to the natural beetroot flush of Grapevine and easy warm pale glow of Pink Sand but am confident that the universally flattering Rosecliff and sultry coral Sunset will find their ardent fans as well.

Base balancing act.

Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter #4 (reviewed HERE): I prepped my canvas with an all over layer of this luminescent wonder…it primes and evens, allowing me to use less foundation while reveling in an illuminated state.
*LAWLESS Woke Up Like This Flawless Finish Foundation in Sahara: A single pump of this medium beige shade (buffed in with a Beauty Blender) works well to perfect skin while still looking incredibly natural. I will continue to experiment with different shades in this formula as my skin develops a bit of summertime depth and will keep you posted on what my next match will be!
*Sisley-Paris Concealer #2 (reviewed HERE): I blended a touch of this apricot-toned concealer (with skincare benefits, I might add) in my under eye region to strategically combat orbital darkness without looking conspicuous.

Cheeks.
// CHEEKS // Soft bronze, faded rose and incandescent peach to accentuate one’s contours naturally.
To gently sculpt and contour while adding warmth, I used the *Surratt Beauty Artistique Cheek Brush (also available at Net-A-Porter) to brush the darker side of the *Jouer Sunswept Bronzer Duo #2 along the hollows of my cheeks and perimeters of my face and then applied the lighter shade on the center of my cheeks. This new installment is finely milled and perfect for a touch of summertime burnish.
Just two drops of the gorgeous *Maya Chia Highlight of the Day Afternoon Delight, a radiant peach, delivers a veil of illumination on the high points of my face. It’s an infinitely flattering and believable glow.

Eyes.
// EYES // Neutral taupe and gold layer perfectly for a subtle wash of color.
Dior Mono Eyeshadow in Mineral(reviewed HERE): This gorgeous satin taupe is a staple in my eye routine as it offers just enough color to define without overpowering.
// LIPS // After a dip in hydration, I finished my pout with a peachy pink concoction.
*Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath: I have been testing this lip plumper for the past month and am over the moon for its exceptionally hydrating texture and lasting, ultra-shiny finish. It works remarkably well as an overnight treatment and lip color base but looks just as pretty on its own.
*Hourglass Panoramic Lip Pencil in Canvas (reviewed HERE): Just a swipe along my natural lip line for pinky nude definition that lasts the entire day…one of my absolute favorite lip liners.
Dior Addict Lacquer Stick #654 Bel Air (reviewed HERE): I still cannot get enough of this splendid blend of peach and pink with plenty of creamy opacity. It must be tried to be believed.
Guerlain Rouge G 02: To add a touch of nude flair, I swept a bit of of this pinky beige in the center of my lips…this particular shade is constantly sold out, so I suggest picking it up if you find it (and adore nude hues as I do).
The following images reflect all products in afternoon light…
Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES //
Ragdoll LA black tee: Versatile with a perfect fit, I have three of these exact shirts in rotation. I love ordering a size or two up and then tying the side in a knot for a custom fit.
Vintage Gucci scarf: As an impromptu belt, hair band or neck accessory, this gem is always in my purse and well worth the investment.
Cropped jeans(additional similar options HERE and HERE): This clean fit is punctuated by a raw hem that hits at the ankles.
*Burberry Giant Reversible Tote: Still one of my go-to handbags for daily life and travel, this tote holds absolutely everything while still feeling lightweight.
Reebok Classic Leather Sneaker (reviewed HERE): I wear these tennis shoes multiple times a week and cannot recommend them enough…they’re a wardrobe staple.
Good things ahead, including a swatch-heavy overview of the new *Surratt Beauty Lid Lacquer (first look HERE), a fresh video tutorial, an on-location beauty story and a host of new product procurements.
