Although I spotted it in very limited release last month, and, after a barrage of reader and follower questions about the launch, I am happy to report that the breathtakingly beautiful Chantecaille Summer 2018 Collection is now readily available! With a heavy emphasis on a sunlit joie de vivre suited for the South of France and the beaches of Italy alike, each element in the lineup is utterly exquisite.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the collection in action as well as the Bottom Line…
I generally end my posts with lip color (at times, I am a creature of habit to the maximum degree…can anyone else relate?) but feel that the brilliant *Chantecaille Lip Sleek in Papaya, Acai and Lychee warrant an expository position in this particular piece. The genius click stick reveals a significantly hydrating and buttery formula that bathes lips in translucent color that is buildable to medium-full coverage. The three new shades are extremely apropos for the summertime as they instantly brighten the face and compliment a tan:
Keep reading for a look at all three shades on the lips!
I also had the chance to try the*Chantecaille Les Perles Metallic Eyeliner in Bleu; perhaps what is most remarkable about this indigo liquid liner is not its color but rather its mesmerizing pearlescent sheen. Somehow the formula eschews traditional shimmer and replaces it with a modern incandescence that is more oyster than glitter. Long-wearing and ultra pigmented, its a fresh twist on a classic black cat eye.
Arguably the centerpiece of the Summer 2018 Collection, the *Chantecaille Sirena Bronzer and Highlighter Duo has already graced dozens (if not hundreds) of Instagram accounts. Housed in a lust-worthy compact (the image alone will have you mentally traveling abroad), this pairing features a true tan bronzer with a slightly incandescent finish and a radiant pearl-meets-champagne highlighter for a sculpting experience in mere seconds.
The bronzer has lovely color payoff and a weightless finish that is neither too matte nor too glowy. It blends onto skin without creating obvious texture (this powder is gossamer) and looks incredibly natural. I suspect the highlighter will also be a hit with consumers as it illuminates without imparting obvious color, making it versatile for a spectrum of skin tones and makeup looks.
Equally eye-catching, the *Chantecaille Luminescent Eye Shade in Mare is a finely milled eyeshadow that works well as a topper due to its relatively sheer nature. Mare is a gorgeous seafoam green with a golden shift that is infinitely pretty. The soft foil effect is fresh and interesting as it immediately creates a sophisticated and radiant eye.
Finally, *Chantecaille Mermaid Eye Matte Eyeshadow in Olivia and Sylvieare a lush homage to neutrals with a velvety texture that swatches true to its matte moniker while still imparting a flattering and complex light to the eyes. Olivia is a neutral cloud grey that works well on its own or as a transition color and Sylvie is a light tan of unparalleled beauty that I love to apply as an all over wash of color. The lightweight cream formula is buildable and, due to its waterproof nature, resists creasing and migrating. I am generally not a fan of mattes but these two hues have changed my mind as they are so smooth and even while adding a fresh element of dimension to the eye. So good.
*Speechless white crochet dress (additional optionsHERE, HERE andHERE): This classic number so resonates with the sun-drenched attitude of summer. The longer sleeves offset the shorter hemline and creamy crochet lace over a nude lining is the perfect balance of demure and adventurous.
Gold hoops: On heavy rotation as of late…I deeply appreciate the timeless simplicity of this gilded pair.
Vintage Gucci silk scarf: I am a proponent of the silk scarf due to its utility…although I often use it as an impromptu belt, in this case it makes for a brilliant 1960s-esque hair accessory. All I need now is a ride along the Almafi Coast (with a jazzy soundtrack), please.
Oribe Nail Lacquer in The Nude: 95% of the year, this sublime neutral shade is on my toes…it’s simply the best for an opaque, flattering and long-lasting nude hue.
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this overview of the resplendent Chantecaille Summer 2018 Collection and would love to know what caught your eye…do tell!
Hi I love all of your posts! It would be so great if you wouldn't mind taking pics of the back of the boxes so we can see the full ingredient lists. Sometimes they are so difficult to find and for those of us with sensitivities it can be so frustrating. I often want to try new brands but I hesitate to order b/c of the lack of ingredients. Anyway if you could I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!
