When it comes to the latest in beauty, I am grateful to get the opportunity to try so many different launches. After 8 years of Beauty Professor, filtering through press mailings to rigorously test and show you the absolute best is a significant part of my job. But that doesn’t mean I still don’t buy a ton of products. The love of discovering pieces that work is what inspired me to start the blog so many years ago. And that passion hasn’t subsided.
The place that I shop for beauty most–both in-store and online–unequivocally is Nordstrom. Consequently, today I am excited to share my current top 20 beauty products. Some that you’ve likely haven’t seen on this blog yet. These are all products that I’ve procured from the store. Each one has more than proved its worth in my routine and hope you find the overview enlightening!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of my top 20 in action…

My Top 20 Beauty Products from Nordstrom
// SKIN //
*Augustinus Bader The Cream & Rich Cream Set: I have shared my ardent love of this cream for over two years and am glad its continuing to get exposure in the industry. A brilliant fusion of science and results, I apply one pump both day and night and, outside of toner and eye cream, am thrilled with the way in which it has streamlined my routine. Of course, I will consistently need to test new formulas–it’s a part of my responsibility here at BP–but I always come back to Bader.
Chanel La Creme Main Hand Creamand Chanel Le Lift La Creme Main: I purchased the original Chanel hand cream a couple of years ago and am thrilled with how long it’s lasted. Joey loves the sleek egg shape and, for some reason, it’s the first thing she reaches for at my bedside during our snuggle times each morning. Recently, I picked up the Le Lift version (I’ll admit, the black packaging drew me in) and am equally smitten with the soft fragrance and lightweight hydration. This cream looks incredible, travels well and feels amazing on the hands…try it and you’ll see what I mean.

Estee Lauder Futurist Hydra Rescue Moisturizing Makeup SPF 45 in Tawny 3W1: Intrigued by the fact that this was brand new when I was perusing the Nordstrom site a week or two ago, I matched myself online and did an in-store pickup for this gem. I am beyond glad that I took a chance on this lightweight, medium to full coverage foundation! One pump gives me excellent coverage while still looking remarkably natural and the foundation has marvelous longevity, as well. I highly recommend this brilliant base and look forward to continuing to have it in my foundation rotation.
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer 4 Warm Olive: Multi-tasking base formulas are forever fascinating and this concealer, which can also be a foundation, has been calling my name for awhile. I picked up the warm olive shade for medium skin (which looks exceptionally dark in the swatches below…#goldenhour) and it’s a great match for my NC 25-27 skin. The coverage is exceptional and, once set, it resists creasing without budging. It is for these reasons that this will become a handbag staple.
*Hourglass Vanish Airbrush Concealer in Cotton, Cedar, Oat and Silk: Ultra pigmented–a little goes a very long way–with immensestyling power, this hotly anticipated formula from one of my favorite beauty brands is sure to please the most discriminatingconcealerconnoisseur. I received samples of the four shades below and am excited to share swatches (all four a great for fair to light skin tones with a variety of undertones) but I have the medium beige Beech in my cart and will be purchasing this weekend.

Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Natural: I typically use 2-3 specificbronzers in my routine and was recently inspired to branch out. This finely milled rich bronze version lightly contours while adding a fetching veil of warmth that maintains its true tan appeal without the slightest hint of orange tones. I’m glad that I took a chance on this one.
Dior Rosy Glow Blush 001 Pink: Despite owning a host of pink blushes, I have nothing in my collection as cool and matte as this one. In a swatch, it can look very light but once on the skin, it adjusts to a deeper custom flush that looks fresh and youthful. It simply must be tried to fully appreciated.
Surratt Artistique Cheek Brush: I use this brush for bronzer and blush alike every. single. day. and this consistency shows no signs of slowing. It’s an investment-level tool with daily dividends.
Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Beauty Light Wand: Easily one of the most flattering highlighters on the market, this cream-meets-gel seamlessly melds into the skin for a lit-from-within look that is beyond ethereal without being shimmery. I just purchased my third one!
Chantecaille Compact Makeup Powder Foundation in Camel: I’ve been on the search for a new pressed powder to use for touch ups and setting and recently picked up this buttery smooth version that can serve a variety of roles. I apply it in my under eye region to set my concealer and keep everything intact and love that it keeps my skin looking fresh and even as the day wears on.
Chanel Ombre Premiere Laque Longwear Liquid Eyeshadow in 24 Rising Sun: The newest product in my list, this fresh launch from Chanel features a gossamer veil of radiant color in the most stunning warm peach tone. I love it as a single wash of color and highly suggest getting this LE gem before it’s gone.
*Clé de Peau Beauté Intensifying Liquid Eye Liner: This dual sided (two different tips for a customized look), jet black eyeliner glides on smoothly and with ease and stays put for hours on end. It’s simply an impeccable luxury liner!
BY TERRY Lash Expert Twist Brush Mascara: I’ve run through at least five tubes of this mascara over the past two years and have purchased it as gifts for the many beauty enthusiasts in my life. The formula is stalwart and smudge-resistant and the fact that the brush has both volumizing and lengthening settings guarantees that it will give your lashes the best possible chance to thrive.

*ReVive Lip & Perioral Renewal Serum: Nothing I’ve tried ameliorates the fine lines in the lip area better than this serum. Ultra lightweight and nourishing, just a pump in the morning and night makes the perimeters of my lips incredibly smooth.
La Mer The Lip Volumizer: I use this in the day to gently hydrate my lips while I do the rest of my makeup; I noticethat lip liner and lip color apply more readily and last longer with this base intact. This was an expensive lip treatment but I’m so glad I bought it; it’s just as pretty on the lips as it looks to the eye.
Chanel Longwear Lip Pencil Nude Brown: Chanel recently released a fresh round of lip liners and I couldn’t help but pick up a few of the neutral hues in the line up. Creamy and long lasting. Nude Brown has a rosy depth that makes it versatile with a spectrum of lip color options.
NARS Audacious Lipstick in Raquel: I’m still in love with this velvety lipstick with insane color payoff. It’s the perfect fusion of beige, nude, peach and pink and makes lips look full and lush.
Sisley-Paris Phyto Lip Twist in Baby: This true light pink feels like balm but delivers enough pigment to act as a lipstick. Ever in my handbag, I never want to be without my trusty lip twists…they are one of the best lip color formulas on the market.
Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Bare Baby: A gorgeousfusion of pink and nude, this gleaming gloss is plush without being sticky. It’s been go-to in my routine for years as it’s lovely on its own or atop lip color to add more depth and a pearly glow.

BA&SH Lilia Dress: I stumbled upon this dress at Nordstrom (in a size M) and bought it without even trying it on. Compelled by the flowing fabric and muted pattern, it’s every bit as dreamy in action as it is on the hanger. I’ve already worn it 3 times…so worth it!
Doc Martens Pascal Boot: Comfortable and versatile, these timeless boots work effortlessly with dresses and jeans alike.
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this in-depth look at my top 20 products from Nordstrom and why they are worth the pursuit and would love to know what caught your eye…do tell!
Good things ahead! Including a fresh tutorial, a look at the new BY TERRY palettes and a host of beauty launches that I cannot wait to show you.
