Quick Video: Two Fall-Inspired Beauty Products Featuring Cle de Peau and Marc Jacobs Beauty!

The last weeks of summer are fleeting now, causing me to turn my eyes towards the fall season and all that it brings.  Here is a quick video that focuses on two newly acquired products that put me in a mood for brisk weather, fireplace usage and boots ; )

Products mentioned include:

1. Cle de Peau Extra Rich Lip Color in 311 v: An ultra-pigmented, traffic-stopping, true red.

2. Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Crayon in (Ro)Cocoa: A creamy, smooth, extremely long lasting taupe brown eyeliner.
**(I pronounce/spell this shade incorrectly in my video…my apologies for the potential confusion!)

You can watch the video in HD by clicking on the gear icon and selecting 720 p HD!

I hope you enjoy the video and would love to hear what products are inspiring you for fall!  This week on the blog…an overview (with video!) of the latest Napoleon Perdis releases and a video rundown of my Marc Jacobs Beauty purchases…I’m afraid that (Ro)Cocoa was just the tip of the iceberg!

xoxo,

    Dearest BP,

You look absolutely amazing in this video! The look oozes sophistication and class whilst portraying a sense of playfulness and allure, just g-o-r-g-e-o-u-s. I adore wearing a red lip frequently, with my go-to shade being Tom Ford in Cherry Lush as it is simply divine. This is followed closely by Napoleon Perdis in Aphrodite another beautiful cool toned red. In the Autumn time I enjoy wearing bronze smokey eyes and a more refined complexion, achieved by using a slightly higher coverage foundation that is nevertheless hydrating.

Can't wait for your next post, till then a big hug from Australia:)

Oh my goodness…thank you so much! Such a bold and red lip required a bit of bravery on my part, especially when in front of the camera ; ) Cherry Lush is such a fabulous shade…I have the TF Scarlet Rouge, which leans a bit more orange, and it is always an adventure to wear. I will have to take a peek at Aphrodite sometime…I love the texture of the NP lippies. Thanks for sharing your fall tips…they are brilliant and totally relatable! One can't go wrong with a bronze eye and refined complexion.

xoxo and talk soon, dear Karen!

Hi B.P, I have a question. I really need a good powder that won't completely cancel out the luminousity of the kanebo & Napolean bbb. I would like to know if u think the marc Jacobs powder or the Chanel Le beiges would be the best. If u know of a better option like hourglass, please let me know. Your skin always looks great and seems to stay fresh & luminous even on your road trip. I want to be able to gently swipe it over my foundation to set it a bit & don't really want a luminizer. The chanel le beiges is described as giving a healthy color & glow. Your thoughts & recommendations are greatly appreciated.

      Hello Lynn!

I can recommend three powders for your purposes: (1) NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder…this is completely translucent but somehow simultaneously controls unwanted shine, adds an airbrushed look and keeps skin glowing. (2) Chanel Les Beiges…definitely a bit more coverage than the NARS (because it has color) but it does a good job of adding a glowy matte finish. The only challenge might be finding a match because #20 could be too light if you are darker than me right now and #30 is quite dark, more like a light bronzer. (3) The Kanebo Sensai Triple Touch Compact in #2…this has a clear matte primer and concealer on one level and a glowy powder on the next. It has some of the most radiant powder (with coverage and oil control) that I've tried lately…so silky and pretty.

I am still on the fence with the Marc Jacobs…I've liked it each time I've worn it because it is light and adds a glow, however the jury is still out regarding how well it actually controls oil/keeps my skin matte…will be trying it for another week before an official weigh in!

I hope that helps…xoxo and do keep me posted on what you might choose,

Hi. B.P thank-you so much. . I think I am going to go to Nordstrom tomorrow & hopefully they have les Beiges in #20 & i will wear nothing but Kanebo & try it. I have been using the sample of Kanebo selftan bronze. But it is almost gone & I don't usually self-tan in the winter. So #20 might be good. If not I will order the Kanebo if u think it's very glowy. I don't have oily skinSo it should be fine in that aspect. I will wait to see how you like the Marc Jacobs because again, I don't have oily skin & prefer glow over matte. Than-you so much for your timely respond. (just in time for my Nordstrom trip). Your recomendations have always been spot on for me as well as your swatches! xoxo Great chatting as always.

My pleasure, Lynn! I hope your trip to Nordstrom was wonderfully productive. If the Les Beiges doesn't end up working out, I think you will like the Kanebo Triple Touch or maybe even the Marc Jacobs…both are on the sheer side, but definitely have some glow in the formula!

Please keep me posted, xoxo and have a great Monday,
