Mirenesse 10 Collagen Cushion Compact…Foundation + Skincare on the Go

Above: The Mirenesse 10 Collagen Cushion Compact.
When I found out that Mirenesse had recently released the 10 Collagen Cushion Compact, I jumped at the chance to try it.  In my quest for all things foundation-related, I have discussed popular cushion compacts (reviews HERE and HERE) as well as my love for Mirenesse foundation (reviewed HERE). Now, I am excited to introduce you to the latest in skincare, protection and incredible, flaw-banishing coverage!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches, images of the 10 Collagen Cushion compact on my face as well as the Bottom Line…

Above: Mocha is a befitting match for N/NC/NW 25-39 skin tones.
There are four shade options (Vanilla, Vienna, Mocha and Bronze) in the formula and I was matched with shade #23 Mocha, which is appropriate for light-medium skin tones in the N/NC/NW 25-30 range.  I generally wear Vienna in Mirenesse foundation, however, I was informed that this formula ran a bit light, making Mocha the perfect match for my slightly olive, lightly tanned medium skin.  The undertones of all four shades are neutral enough to seamlessly adapt!

Above: The compact has an airtight tray that keeps the foundation-saturated sponge from drying out in between uses.
Here are the official details, courtesy of Mirenesse:
Encased in a portable liquid infused cushion compact, injected with Collagen inducing Tissue Growth Factor Fluid is an ideal wrinkle repairing molecule more powerful than many of the common peptides!
Considered an effective alternative to collagen injections!
This brightening skincare in a compact utilizes liquid to powder technology, to fill in fine lines with a long lasting buildable coverage.
Provides deep moisture and protects your skin against environmental aggressors, it’s guaranteed to provide exceptional results.

So If you’re after a youthful looking second skin this is it!

PERFECT 10 BENEFITS:
1.    Pearl Soft Skin –Excellent Nude Effect Buildable Coverage
2.    Long Wearing -Humidity Resistant
3.    Moisture Lock Effect– Hydrates Constantly
4.    Liquid To Powder Finish – Acts To Control Oil
5.    Natural Mineral SPF25+-  Acts As A  Shield
6.    Wrinkle Care With Syn-Coll
7.    Soothing Cooling Effect
8.    Brightens Skin With Light Reflective Pigments For A Radiant Glow
9.    10 Second Application Fills In Micro-lines Effectively
10.  Convenient and Easy To Use Liquid In A Portable Compact

Under the protective tray resides the cushion; this spongey material is drenched with the foundation formula, which is released when the sponge is depressed with the included application pad.  The formula is delightfully unscented and feels completely weightless to the touch…truly, in light of its gossamer texture, it is shocking how much refinement and coverage this cushion compact imparts.

Above: A fingertip swatch of Mocha in direct sunlight…this image adeptly illustrates the ultra-light texture of this formula.
I find that a little goes a long way with this particular foundation; in turn, application is a breeze.  Just a few dips of the pad onto the cushion is all that is necessary to achieve buildable medium to full coverage (less, and a sheer application is entirely possible).  The pad works well to seamlessly blend the foundation into the face and is sufficient for application (no Beauty Blender, foundation brush or fingers necessary!).
The finish is matte yet slightly glowy (but without any perceptible shimmer) and lasts the entire day without a need for additional foundation touch ups, even in warm, hyper sunny weather.  If the glowy look is not preferred, this can be set with powder or powder can be added later on in the day to mitigate breakthough shine.  Because the foundation itself is so light and thin, powder melds instantly and without a cakey effect.  I adore the fact that there is a built in SPF 25 and, despite its respectable protection power, this addition does not create flashback in photos (see later images).  My skin is extremely sensitive and hasn’t experienced a single reaction over the course of multiple days spent wearing this formula…in fact, my skin appears and feels smoother and more hydrated each time I wear it.
All in all, this is a fantastic base option for those seeking a fuss-free, time-friendly application, natural looking medium to full airbrushed coverage, SPF protection and flaw-banishing skincare benefits, conveniently housed in a purse-appropriate compact.

Bottom Line: The Mirenesse 10 Collagen Cushion Compact (which retails for approximately $71 USD) is simply divine.  From its ultra-portable packaging to its skincare benefits and gorgeous, lasting coverage, this latest foundation incarnation is an innovative way to protect and perfect one’s canvas.  It is for these compelling reasons that this formula is, without question, in my foundation rotation this summer…highly recommended!

Much more soon…xx,

Have you tried GA Face Fabric and if so what are your thoughts? What is the finish? How does it compare to Maestro Compact? Are there any similarities?

I have indeed…years ago ; ) The GA Face Fabric was a bit too "silicony" for me and it is so sheer that it is easier to use another product entirely. The Maestro Compact has a creamy texture, opaque finish and medium to full coverage; it's a vastly different entity!

Love that I can come here and find out about products I haven't even heard of 😀 How great is that. As a fellow foundation junkie, I have to try one of the Mirenesse formulas which brings me to my questions:

How do you feel about the 10 Collagen Cushion versus the Flawless Revolution in terms of preference. Do you have a preference and why. Looking at your photos of both, it almost seems 10 Collagen is perhaps dewier in finish. I like a bit of a glow on finish, but not overly dewy. For example: Guerlain teint joli which starts out mostly matte on me, but turns nicely glowy, but not super dewy. How about seasonal? Would you consider 10 Collagen a summer foundation and Flawless Revolution a winter? Apologies for all the questions, but I would like to try one formula rather than 2 at this point. Thanks so much for the post and your help. Best, Wendy

      Hi Wendy,

Thanks so much…I always aim to cover less mainstream products and am glad you appreciate the results ; )

I have tried three Mirenesse foundation formulas and love the Collagen Cushion Compact most of all…it has great coverage but looks completely natural, lasts for hours (I had a 10 hour shopping day yesterday, wore it and didn't need a single touch up!) and looks slightly dewy. I think if you can find a shade match in the Cushion Compact, it will work beautifully year round and be your best bet!

I truly hope that helps…xx and keep me posted,

Thank you for the in depth review! It sounds like a lovely foundation. Can you post the full ingredient list? I have some hate relationships with some ingredients in cosmetics…:)

Hi BP! how do you compare it to AmorePacific cushion compact? Based on your review, I purchased that and loved it. If I have that do you think we also need this? 🙂 would love to hear your thoughts!

Hello Anon! The Mirenesse has slightly more coverage initially and also doesn't contain any scent (where as the Amore Pacific has a very unmistakable fragrance). I still use the AP version as well (when I am looking for lighter coverage) but this Mirenesse is a fantastic, one stop, full coverage and protection option and I am glad I have both!

      I hope that helps you…xx,

There's not much buzz about Mirenesse 10 Collagen Cushion foundation on YouTube. In fact, there's not much talk about Mirenesse. For me, it took just one video for me to be tempted to order this product online. I had more than 40 foundations, always looking for the best one. This ended my search. I'm 54 and I've been wearing foundation since I was 16. I will never purchase it for $70.00, but the refills are not as expensive and there are always promo codes available. I have purchased three refills, since I purchase the first compact in September. I wish there was more product in the compact, but it won't keep me from repurchasing it. No foundation I've ever tried compares to it. Move over Estee Lauder Double Wear and Urban Decay Naked Skin….you've been out performed.
