Charlotte Tilbury Bronze & Glow…An Overview with Swatches of All Three Versions

Above: 3 versions of the brilliant Charlotte Tilbury Filmstar Bronze & Glow.
Earlier this month, the Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson Collection debuted (review HERE and HERE), delivering a stunning cream formula of the modern classic Filmstar Bronze & Glow as well as a simultaneously released Medium to Dark Bronze & Glow version.
Kindly scroll on more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Above: A shade and formula for every individual.
Filmstar Bronze & Glow has been an integral part of my routine for the past year (original review HERE) and I was thrilled to be able to try the latest installments from the venerable Charlotte Tilbury line.  Enthusiasts of the formula have been eager for a Bronze & Glow option for deeper skin tones and the cream version takes this gorgeous product to another level!
  • Features a darker-toned sculpting powder–a beautiful deep brown–that also seems to have a bit more luminosity than the light-medium shade.
  • The highlight shade is much warmer–almost a light bronze–than the neutral champagned toned highlight in the light-medium shade.
  • This option will work well on N/NW/NC 35+ skin tones

This is a secret that silver screen sirens have kept to themselves for years – and once shared with you – so will you! With Filmstar Bronze & Glow you can slim, sculpt, shorten, trim and highlight your features. It’s amazing what clever shading and highlighting tricks can do to your facial framework – it’s an illusion that used all the time, particularly for red carpet scrutiny. Take what you were born with and maximize your assets with Filmstar Bronze & Glow!

•The bronzer is the perfect universal blend of pearl and pigment to contour features and mimic a sun-kissed complexion.
• The highlighter is built up from a golden base that flatters any skin tone, and uses Light Flex Technology to capture light and radiate it out for a luminous complexion.
• Colour-rich pigments are rolled into elastomer pearls that smooth & buff the skin for excellent blendability & perfect colour uniformity
• Paraben-free
0.56 oz.

Ingredients: Talc, Mica, Isononyl Isononanoate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Starch, Dimethicone, Zea Mays (Corn) Starch, Zinc Stearate, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Dimethiconol, Octyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Hexylene Glycol, Polymethylsilsesquioxane, Silica, Tin Oxide, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499)

  • Has a creamy, true brown sculpting shade with no apparent shimmer.  It swatches with remarkable opacity but looks entirely natural once blended into the skin.  I used my Jenny Patinkin All Over Face Brush in the contours of my cheeks and along the perimeters of my face to apply.
  • The highlighting shade is a radiant gold…not as warm or deep as the Bronze & Glow powder in Medium-Dark but definitely a touch more pigmented than the pale champagne of the Bronze & Glow powder in Light-Medium.  I love the ethereal light it imparts on the face.
  • This formula will work well for light, medium and perhaps medium-deep skin tones…absolutely beguiling!

Charlotte created this Limited Edition Filmstar Bronze & Glow as part of the Charlotte Tilbury x Norman Parkinson collection. This cream texture, contouring palette duo is inspired by the natural fall of sunlight and shade on the face and is designed to slim, sculpt and highlight your features, creating a naturally glowing complexion. Parkinson’s ability to capture light hugely influences how Charlotte thinks about makeup and Filmstar Bronze & Glow (Sun Tan & Sun Light) captures the youthful, soft-focus lens of his camera, giving you perfect summer skin – a golden glow that enhances your facial framework. The cream textures have a fresh, dewy finish that is perfect for summer.

The compact features a Norman Parkinson photograph of Jerry Hall on the beach in Jamaica in 1975. It is an iconic Vogue cover and a reference Charlotte returns to again and again. Jerry has long been a global beauty icon with her pools of crystal blue eyes, luscious lips and flowing golden locks, and I really wanted to celebrate her as a Parkinson muse.

    Hi Rachel,
Do you have any idea when the new MUFE HD stick foundation will be released? I tried the newest Ultra HD from the line but found it too drying. Looking forward to your review of the HD stick. Thank a ton for the work on all your fellow beauty junkies behalf.

I've wanted to try these, but didnt because I'm in the NW43 range and the original was way too light. But I did get excited when I saw pics of the new medium dark one. I'm intrigued, but looking at your swatches, I think the NP, without any shimmer in the contour shade looks even better – I am surprised by how deep it is. And I hope you don't get offended, but I would say that the NP looks a bit dark for you in your posted pics as well. I wish I had the opportunity to try these before buying!! Thanks so much for the swatches, always so helpful.

      Hello Neo!

Thanks for the feedback. The NP version is definitely pigmented and I think it will be versatile for a spectrum of skin tones. I love when a product has application to a vast population ; )
