Today’s post is dedicated to newness involving three beauty brands that are near and dear to my heart that all, incidentally, begin with the letter S. SUQQUhas just released its A/W 2019 Collection (limited edition and selling out fast), Sisley-Paris has launched an updated version of a classic with its new *Phyto-Teint Ultra Eclat Oil-Free Long Lasting Foundation(oh my, it’s good, my friends) and Sephora is having a Summer Sale for Rouge and VIB members that begins today and runs through 8/27.
Consequently, I am excited to share thoughts and swatches on the above, plus a streamlined list of 12 recommendations for the Sephora sale.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
When it comes to eyeshadow, SUQQU is a veritable expert so my expectations for the new *SUQQU Tone Touch Eyes Eyeshadow(also to be available at Harrods) were quite pronounced. I am happy to state that they do not disappoint!
The singles–housed in a mirrored compact–come in both matte and satin finishes and possess the same finely-milled and intense color payoff that every SUQQU enthusiast has come to expect.
Buildable, bendable and crease-resistant, they are adeptly executed individual washes of color and I am beyond taken by their beauty and performance. Ever a satin-finish devotee, I have placed asterisks by my favorite hues below:
01 Kageiro: Matte warm brown
02 Amaitoge: Matte deep rose-meets-cranberry
03 Hiyatsuki: Matte cloud gray
04 Sukesumi: Matte army green
05 Yawatsumugi: Glowing medium flesh beige tan **
06 Suzukinu: Medium dove gray with a satin finish
07 Sakiiroka: Pinky nude beige with a satin finish **
08 Suzuaoi: Rich indigo blue with a satin finish
09 Kifuu: Glowing light emerald green (capturing the beauty of a Japanese beetle) **
10 Ryouka: Vibrant pinky red with a satin finish **
11 Touyou: Coral orange with a stain finish
12 Akihotaru: Intensely sparkling platinum with a wet look **
*SUQQU Designing Color Eyes Eyeshadow 126 Aoryuusei: This breathtakingly beautiful quad features an array of cooler toned hues that are refreshingly novel on eyes while still being wearable on a day-to-day basis. It includes a creamy ivory beige, a lush charcoal gray, a vibrant peacock blue and an alluring eggplant purple, all of which flattering brown, blue, green. and gray eyes alike! I can’t wait to continue to play with this in the coming days.
*SUQQU Colour Ink Liquid Eyeliner #104: I am already very fond of this new SUQQU eyeliner formula (reviewed in detail HERE) and find this new shade–a luminous rusty copper–to be innovative and lovely. I prefer to sweep it along my upper lash line (as done HERE) for a warm impact that doesn’t budge.
*SUQQU Moisture Rich Lipstick in 11 Rinku and 111 Fusubeiro: I received two of the five new lipsticks in this collection–the mauve pink Rinku is a “my-lips-but-better” wonder with a shiny and creamy finish and the sophisticated Fusubeiro is a luminous sheer chocolate that beckons the fall with attitude.
*SUQQU Water Colour Lip Ink Lip Tint 102 Jyumitsu: A friendly suggestion for my fellow gloss lovers…run, don’t walk, to pick up this gorgeous formula! Sheer, plush, hydrating and long lasting, this translucent gem has a refreshing cooling effect upon contact and imparts just enough color to masterfully brighten the face. I’ve been wearing this peachy tone daily since receiving!
Rounding out the latest in A/W 2019 Collection is the *SUQQU Pure Colour Blush Blusher #11 Hanasusu. This is by far my most favorite bronze-toned blush from SUQQU yet as the gradient is extremely flattering and easy to wear.
Housed in an extremely svelte compact, the brown side is a true tan with olive undertones that allows one to gently sculpt the face while simultaneously adding warmth and dimension and the coral peach-meets rose on the far right delivers a fresh pop of color for the apples of one’s cheeks. The powder is velvety soft and blends like a dream, addingdepth to one’s complexion without overpowering.
It’s seriously one of the best bronzers I’ve tried this year and I am earnestly contemplatingpurchasing a back up.
Boasting buildable light to medium coverage brimming with pronounced skincare benefits and significant lasting power, this foundation works well on all skin types and ages. It’s a formula that has devotees in every decade because it looks incredibly natural and doesn’t settle into fine lines or wrinkles, even after a long day out and about. Hydrating and comfortable, skin looks radiant and healthy for hours on end.
To apply, I prime my skin with my beloved *Sisley-Paris Double Tenseur (I am on my second bottle!) and then distribute two pumps of the #2 Sand (a perfect match) in the center of my face and blend out with a damp Beauty Blender. The foundation neither oxidizes nor budges and, though lightly fragrance (it dissipates in a few minutes), seems to play very well with sensitive skin. I love how bouncy and fresh my skin looks over the course of wear…it truly remains radiant yet touch up-free for 8+ hours, even in humidity!
When compared with the beloved original version (same moniker minus the word “ultra”), I find the the *Sisley-Paris Phyto-Teint Ultra Eclat Oil-Free Long Lasting Foundation (also available at Neiman Marcusand Saks) has subtle but worthy improvements. The coverage is a touch more robust (while still looking completely natural), the shades range has increased to include even more skin tones, the lasting power (if this is even possible as the original was quite long lasting) is better and the price is now $95 (vs. the $122 of the previous formula).
After nearly a week of consistent testing, I can confirm that I am completely smitten with this new formula and know it will be a regular part of my foundation rotation…if you seek buildable and extremely natural looking coverage with stellar wear time, I cannot recommend it enough!
Shade include:
0 Porcelaine
0+ Vanilla
1 Ivory
2 Soft Beige
2+ Sand: **My absolute spot-on match (worn at the end of this post)
Phyto-Teint Ultra Éclat, light diffusing oil-free fluid foundation. Reveal skin that looks instantly radiant and flawless, with imperfections minimized and a blurred effect on the skin texture.
Day after day, a mineral complex acts to enhance the complexion’s natural radiance. Buckwheat seed extract acts as an anti-pollution shield.* Extracts of Mallow and Gardenia flower provide hydration and comfort for fresh-feeling skin.
The long-lasting, lightweight and blendable texture offers a very natural velvety finish and a medium buildable coverage. Oil-free.
A range of 14 natural and ultra-luminous shades fit multiple skin tones and undertones.

USAGE TIPS
Shake the bottle. Apply the foundation with light strokes using the fingertips or a foundation brush. Start applying from the center of the face, moving outwards.
The rest of the face.
// THE REST of the FACE // For a warm day out (as shown in the images at the end of this post), I added these gems into the mix.
*Rodin Olio Lusso Aurora Luxury Illuminating Powder (also available at Neiman Marcus): I received this highlighter right before we moved and didn’t get a proper chance to try it until recently…I am so glad that I did! The opulent powder is finely milled and imparts the most flattering golden champagne tone that lights up the high points of the face without obvious texture. Try this LE wonder while it’s still available…you won’t regret it.
*Clé de Peau Beauté Concealer in Almond(also available at CdPBwith swatches of all shades HERE): This cult-classic is such a potent multitasker. Just a touch in my under eye region and my dark circles are banished without any later-in-the-day creasing.
*Clé de Peau Beauté Radiant Liquid Rouge Matte Liquid Lipstick in Nectar and Cream Crush (all shades swatched and reviewed HERE): I am currently in love with this combination…Nectar is a soft coral pink with plenty of color payoff. When I add a touch of the rosy nude Cream Crush, I get the perfect not too nude neutral and the comfort and lasting power are beyond.
Good thingsahead, including a fresh video tutorial, a house tour and a host of new product procurements including foundations from Flesh, RMS and Surratt. Stay tuned!
As is delightfully customary, your enchanting, descriptive reviews are illuminating and bright. I adore Suqqu and your reviews are spot-on and nail their magnificence (and leave me wanting more). Must try this Sisley foundation. You've made it sound like a (radiant, flawless, and blurred) slice of heaven. x

Would you be able to give shade reference for the Sisley foundation you had above? Are they neutral or warm etc? Thank you love your blog!
