Summer Skincare Spotlight: Mila Moursi for Glass Skin That Glows

From cleanser and toner to serum, specialized treatments and even SPF, Mila Moursi creates products that cater to a spectrum of skin types and concerns. Personally, I seek skincare that possesses potent anti-aging benefits while delivering a seriously glassy glow and some of my absolute favorites include the

In addition to the products mentioned above, I’ve started my summer by testing the newest member of the Mila Moursi family: the *
Intensive Renewal Booster. Designed to dramatically transform the skin in 30 days, the set features formidable daily doses of Retinol and Vitamin C (alternated each evening) balanced by an ultra hydrating solution of Hyaluronic Acid to resurface and brighten skin while adding significant hydration.
Sleep deprived from too many late nights of grading, writing and the like, my post-spring semester skin presented optimal candidacy for this rejuvenation! Here is a breakdown of my results:
Week #1:
I was eager to jumpstart the process. Also, upon cleansing in the evening, I started with the Bio-Retinol first that week. The serum is lightweight and absorbs instantly. As is the case with all products containing Retinol. I made sure to avoid application near my eyes, nose and lips. The next morning, my skin felt extra smooth. It had a touch of radiance the initial stages of cell turnover in progress. Upon washing, I gently applied the Hyaluronic Acid. I loved the way it nourished and plumped up my skin. I followed with the Vitamin C serum the next evening. Then, I alternated for the six nights, giving my skin a chance to rest–as instructed–on the seventh day.
Week #2:
Entering the second week of the *
Intensive Renewal Booster, I already began to note differences in my skin’s texture and tone. Despite the potency of the Retinol, I didn’t experience any obvious signs of dryness or peeling. I attribute the lack of these side effects to the daily dose of moisture, courtesy of the Hyaluronic Acid. What
was present, however, was a pronounced level of smoothing and a reduction in dark spots and discoloration.
Week #3:
This was the week where results really began to compound! The two weeks of regular Retinol and Vitamin C doses began to reduce the look of pores and fine lines. Also, encouraging an unmistakable, lit-from-within radiance. It can only come from skin that’s been reborn via enhanced cell turnover.
Week #4 (in progress):
The cumulative result of nearly a month of the *
Intensive Renewal Booster has been brilliant. My skin looks smoother, brighter and healthier than it has in months and a natural glow–even sans makeup–is evident. The Intensive Renewal Booster system is to be followed as a PM/AM ritual to overhaul the skin. Start your 30-Day regimen in the evening. In the morning, on cleansed and toned skin, apply your AM Booster followed by your Mila Moursi serum and treatment cream. For the ritual, complete six days of PM/AM treatments. Extremely gentle yet effective, this cleansing foam removes every last trace of dirt and makeup without stripping the skin of its benevolent natural oils. I use it day and night to keep my skin exceptionally clean.
This toner was the very first Mila Moursi product with which product I fell in love. In the 7+ years that I have diligently tested skincare for this blog, I’ve yet to encounter another product that is similar to this particular formula. After cleansing, I spray it onto a cotton pad to balance my normal-to-combination skin. It prepares my face for the skincare to come (making it more receptive) and smells uncommonly fresh and invigorating.
On days when I felt I needed more than the Hyaluronic Acid from the Intensive Renewal Booster, I added a pump of this anti-aging wonder to my skin. Weightless yet incredibly efficacious, this serum increases elasticity and skin volume (in the best possible way) while adding a replenishing layer of moisture.
Since my skin has been receiving regular doses of retinol (which, in any concentration, can cause sun sensitivity due to increased cell turnover), this anti-oxidant rich SPF has been a trusty companion. It’s ightweight and blendable. The sunscreen smooths on and melts into the skin. It’s actually a fabulous base/primer for foundation while masterfully protecting it from harmful UVA and UVB rays.
