The arrival of August delivers the opportunity to take a family vacation; our work schedules are insane, but we make sure to carve away some time to get away and recharge, preferably in someplace peaceful and serene. This year, joined by my brother and parents, we’ve headed back to the Southwest, specifically Tucson, AZ to stay at one of our favorite resorts, the Loews Ventana Canyon.
Kindly scroll on for images from our adventure, a casual vacation FOTD and product breakdown as well as the Bottom Line…
Above: Can’t beat desert sunsets…almost there!
Above: The Loews Ventana Canyon Resort is designed to blend in with the picturesque canyon within which it is nestled.
Above: Gorgeous cacti at every turn.
Here is a simple FOTD from the second day of our trip…I am also wearing a Free People Long Beach Tank Top (I have this basic in yellow and black and adore its simple stylings!).
Products Used:
Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge #2 (reviewed HERE)
Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this diversion from the norm, coupled with a standard FOTD. More on my travels, as well as a copious amount of product reviews coming your way soon!
xx and have a lovely rest of the week,
–The Beauty Professor
**Some PRsamples provided for review (the rest bought by me) however, as always, all of my opinions are expressly and unequivocally my own.
Thank you, Kath! Getting away is always an ordeal…the packing of beauty products alone is a task for us beauty bloggers, no? ; ) The Loews resorts are all pet-friendly so it's perfect!
Beautiful pictures, both you and the landscape!! Could you tell me, do you find Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric in 503 Daybreak better than the Sheer Blush in no 10? What are the differences? I seem to remember you loved that one too…
Thank you! With regards to your question, I find that the GA Cheek Fabric Daybreak is my favorite blush these days. It is a perfectly restrained pinky peach beige that goes well with bronzer or contour. It is very similar to the original #10, though I would say that it is slightly less pigmented…since I can run the risk of over application, this is actually a positive difference for me! Since #10 is discontinued, I am happy to have found Daybreak as an excellent replacement!
Welcome to the Old Pueblo! Your family sure is brave to come here in 110+ degrees August. Most of us are looking to get out of Tucson this time of year!

You look gorgeous as usual. Enjoy your vacay! I like the fact that you took your furry baby with you. He seems to be enjoying the adventure too!
