From L-R: Scott Reyes of the Neiman Marcus Beverly Hills LMdB counter, the Beauty Professor and LMdB Director of Color, Mikey Castillo.
I recently paid a special visit to the Le Metier de Beaute counter at my local Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills. During my time, I was fortunate to meet with Scott Reyes, who heads the counter and LMdB Director of Color, Mikey Castillo. While we, of course, candidly discussed the beauty and merits of the LMdB line…a special posting of current product images and swatches to come in the very near future…I was also formally introduced to the Le Metier de Beaute CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set, to be released early next month and sold exclusively at Neiman Marcus!
Designed as a 15-minute at-home spa experience, this set includes a peel, which penetrates the skin’s surface to eradicate dead skin cells and a mask, which renews and rebuilds the skin, improving overall appearance. This two step process, which retails for $265, works below the surface to enhance and improve skin, revealing younger-looking skin in as little as 60 seconds.
I am thankful to have received a sample set of this very promising product from Delbert Faires of the LMdB counter in Palm Beach, Florida; this post, including a brief video of my application (scroll to bottom of post!), is dedicated to my initial experience with the peel and mask set.
Above L-R: The exquisite and knowledgable Delbert Faires of the Neiman Marcus LMdB counter in Palm Beach, FL with the Beauty Professor and Ami Scrittorale.
As the name might imply, the CHEM 60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask set comes with two products, the peel and the mask.
The CHEM60 Pro-Peel comes with a brush applicator to gently spread the clear formula on the face with ease.
According to LMdB, the CHEM60 Pro-Peel“gently penetrates the skin’s surface and desquamates dead skin cells to reveal younger looking skin” Additional details, directions and outcomes as follows:
Diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles
Increase hydration and reveal smoother-looking skin
Apply for 60 seconds and up to 5 minutes
Appropriate for all skin tones and most skin types
Use up to three times a week
**I applied this to clean skin and left it on for 60 seconds…the warming sensation was pleasant and, upon removal (with a damp washcloth), my skin felt remarkably smooth and velvety.
The mask comes in a sturdy lucite jar with a secure all-encompassing top.
The mask itself is very easy to apply and a bit gummy in texture, making it feel secure when applied to the face (no dripping or migrating) and as it dries.
The GLOW10ai Mask “infuses skin with an unprecedented concentration of antioxidants, vitamins and hydrators and helps skin renew and rebuild, while strengthening skin’s overall appearance” Additional details and benefits as follows:
A sophisticated blend of moisturizers helps revive appearance of damaged, dull-looking skin
The look of hyperpigmentation is noticeably lessened and improved
Irritation and redness caused by chemical peels, microdermabrasion and laser treatments are visibly diminished
Suppleness and smoothness are greatly restored, resulting in a fresh, hydrated surface
**I applied the thick yet pliable mask with my fingers and spread it all over my face, avoiding my hairline and the orbital area around my eyes. The mask lacked an obvious scent (a bonus in my book!) and felt very comfortable as it dried. I left the mask on for about 10 minutes before beginning the peeling process.
The mask was an enjoyable experience…
**To remove the mask, I started at my forehead and began to peel downwards…this was an extremely easy process and the mask removed evenly and cleanly. Upon complete removal, I was left with undeniably smooth, refined and, dare I say, poreless (!) skin. I couldn’t believe how rapid the results appeared to be!
The video below chronicles my first experience with the LMdB Peel and Mask set…I was beyond glad to go through the steps, from application to removal, in the comfort of my own bathroom and I used my new iPhone 5 to record the entire process. It’s not glamorous, but it is indeed authentic and hopefully very helpful for those of you interested in trying this set out next month…enjoy!
A healthy and glowing visage thanks to Le Metier de Beaute!
Bottom Line: The Le Metier de Beaute CHEM60 Pro-Peel and GLOW10ai Mask Set is very special…the results I got from a single twelve minute process were remarkable. The smoothness and refinement that my skin experienced as a result of the set lasted well into the next couple of days that followed. Additionally, my sensitive skin did not react in any adverse manner to the peel and mask. If anything, my skin appeared calmer and more supple while enduring a highly stressful week, no less! I am so excited to integrate this set into my skincare routine because of its simplicity and efficacy and look forward to witnessing the diminishment of more significant issues like hyperpigmentation and fine lines with my continued use, long term use…highly recommended!
**PR sample provided for review, however, as always, all of my opinions are expressly and unequivocally my own.
dare I say that the picture of you with the mask, is one of the best pictures you have on here because you look fresh and clear skinned! I don't think you need to wear foundation.
That is such a kind compliment, FairlytalesandCoffee! Thank you. I wasn't feeling very "together" in my mask picture but I wanted to give a true rendition of what the process was like for my readers!
Thanks! In this picture, I am wearing By Terry Ombre Blackstar shadow stick in #4 bronze moon under my eyes and my foundation, believe it or not, was Revlon Colorstay Whipped Creme Foundation in #320 Warm Golden!
I hope that helps…xoxo and so glad you enjoy my blog!
Thanks for the sweet comment! I am definitely not a dermatologist so I am cautious when giving out informal advice on skin care! However, I think that you could use this peel and mask with retin-a micro (which I also use a few times a month). I would just use the peel and mask a few times a month (no more than once a week) for consistent results that won't overstress your skin! Finally, I would keep the peel on for no more than two minutes and the mask for about 7 minutes…any longer with both and it might be too much for your sensitive skin (I find that retina-a micro makes mine quite sensitive).

Great post and amazing results! Is it possible to use this while using retin-a micro ? What would you recommend?
