You look great! I've seen YSL #1 mentioned by so many people, maybe it's time to pull the trigger on that wish list item. Also, aren't you in love with the Dior One Essential? It's my favorite for sure. I can't pinpoint exactly what it does, but I look brighter when I wear it. That's all a girl can ask for, really 🙂
Thanks, Jessica! It's funny you should mention the YSL #1…I had my first tube for years and, due to my insane pursuit of nudes, wore it intermittently since I was always adding new nudes to my collection. Just recently, I finished tube #1 and wore my second tube almost exclusively while on vacation…it is such a versatile shade–full coverage and pale without washing out the face. Highly recommended! Yes, I am loving the Dior One Essential…I felt like I needed a serum under my daily dose of LMdB Peau Vierge and am happy I stumbled upon this. My skin seems to like it and glad to hear that yours feels the same way ; )

Hello Barb,
Thanks for your comment! I am so happy that you found your way here and look forward to our future interactions! I wish you the best on your search for the Kanebo makeup…it is truly wonderful but definitely difficult to locate ; )

You look stunning as usual however, and please don't get me wrong, I am curious to know if you put all this make up (including eyeliner in the water line) to go to the resort swimming pool.
I still love your very detailed oriented reviews. Thanks for the excellent work!
Cheers from the UK
Hello Bianca,
Thank you so much! I appreciate your question (I'd be curious too!)…to protect my skin, I do apply the most of the products from the "Skincare," "Face" and "Lips" categories, but I tend to leave makeup off of my eyes when I go to the pool. This particular FOTD captured my makeup right before heading to a meeting, so I was definitely embracing eye makeup in that situation. However, when I know I am going to sweat and potentially swim, I forgo the eye makeup!!
Take care and have a lovely week…so glad you are enjoying my blog!

Dear Rachel,
Thank you so much for your prompt and kind reply, you are truly polite.
Your approach makes sense to me, as I do the same when on holidays, pack on skincare and face products to protect from UV rays and some lip product, that is why I was curious about the eye make up.
I actually have other question non related to this post. Reading your blog made me want to try very bad the Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge and I thought it was a make up primer with skincare benefits however, I see you use it under the SPF product, hence I got a bit confused about its purpose. I dont want to order a rather pricey product and use it incorrectly.
Have a great week too.
Cheers
Bianca
Hello Bianca,
My pleasure and thank you as well! Glad we're on the same page ; ) With regards to your questions about the LMdB Peau Vierge, it is a primer, illuminator, retinol skincare serum and has SPF, albeit in my opinion, not enough to be effective on its own if you are in direct sunlight for any period of time. If I am going to be in the sun, I always make sure to apply an additional physical sunscreen as well (like Koh Gen Do UV Care Milk SPF 30) but if I am not going to be getting any direct rays, the Peau Vierge will suffice. Overall, I never miss this important step in my skin care regimen! I am on my third bottle now ; )
xoxo and hope that helped,
