I am finally finished teaching for the summer, and after a whirlwind round of travel, have found myself in gorgeous Palm Beach, Florida for some much needed relaxation. Rife with sleeping in, a bit of shopping and copious amounts of pool time, the next few days should be magnificent!
Here is a quick FOTD for my pool excursion yesterday; kindly scroll on for images and details as well as the Bottom Line…

Above: My poolside beauty essentials. |
Products Include:
- Giorgio Armani Sun Fabric #100 (reviewed HERE)…this is a perfect soft tan for light contouring…love it.
- By Terry Ombre Blackstar in #4 Bronze Moon (reviewed HERE)…smudged out with a blending brush, it creates a smoky taupe look that is casual yet sophisticated.
- Tom Ford Nude Vanille (reviewed HERE)…an undying favorite pink nude to wear over stains for a creamy finish.
- Elizabeth and James Nirvana Black Fragrance (reviewed HERE)…musky, sweet and vanilla-drenched, it is alluringly fresh for a warm day poolside.
- Guerlain Terracotta Joli Tint in Natural (reviewed HERE)…the medium coverage and decent SPF make this a no-brainer for time spent in the sun. A foundation that yields perfectly bronzed skin…brilliant!
- By Terry Touche Veloutee #2 (reviewed HERE)…perfect concealer coverage with a brightening finish.
- Giorgio Armani Cheek Fabric in #503 Daybreak (reviewed HERE)…this soft peachy pink looks ultra natural on the cheeks; adding just enough color for a believable flush, I have been using this nonstop since procuring it last month.
- Le Metier de Beaute Peau Vierge Anti-Aging Powder (reviewed HERE)…great for touch ups, this skin-calming, nourshing formula is always in my handbag.
- Surratt Beauty Relevee Mascara (reviewed HERE)…still, my unequivocal mascara of choice and the way it holds up in humidity is a wonderment to me.
- By Terry Lip to Tint in Beach Game (reviewed HERE)…this flattering orange-meets-coral creates a soft stain that looks great on its own or in tandem with lipstick.
- L’Oreal Sublime Sun SPF 50 Sunscreen Oil...I applied this liberally and, over the course of four hours, my skin was impervious to the intense Florida sun…no burn, just a lovely, light bronze effect!
- Goldfaden MD Sun Visor Ultra Light Oil Free SPF Mist (not pictured but reviewed HERE)…I am loving this natural, non-chemical SPF option; I spray it on after primer and before foundation for a layer of protection and, due to its light texture, can even add more over makeup as needed without it disrupting the products I’ve applied. Such a find!

Bottom Line: Although I am in the midst of travel, I am doing my best to keep fresh posts coming on BP; that being said, my response time to your emails and comments may be a bit delayed. Please know that I am receiving them and loving them and will get to every last one, even it takes me awhile!
I hope you enjoyed this FOTD…after some days to rest, I shall be recharged to bring you a host of good things on BP in the coming weeks!

Hi B.P so glad your gettn some relaxation. I was wondering if u used the loreal oil on your face or just relied on the tinted moisturizer for protection or used another SPF under that? Thanks so much. Xo
Hello Lynn,
Thanks so much! I actually have been using the Goldfaden SPF spray on my face (forgot to mention it…may need to add it into the post) and the L'Oreal everywhere else. Both have definitely protected my face and body.
Hope your week is going well…xx,
–The Beauty Professor
Have a relaxing blast :). Well deserved I say!
Thank you ever so much, Sherry…it's actually been a bit of work to make myself relax but I am trying ; )

Love Palm Beach! The Nieman's there is the best! Hope you have a great time!
It's always so beautiful in Palm Beach…I am actually headed to the Neiman's on Wednesday…can't wait!
Thanks for the sweet words, Ashley…xx,

You must stop by the Tom Ford counter and let us know what think about the two new Tom Ford fragrances. My Tom Ford girl Tara is the best! Love her!
Indeed, Ashely…I didn't get a chance to meet Tara but I definitely went to NM…always a delightful treat!
xoxo, thanks for the tip and happy weekend,

How lovely! I hope you thoroughly enjoy–well, of course you will 🙂
I really need to grab that GA Sun Fabric. You look fabulous!
Love the LMDB Peau Vierge. It's a new must have staple in my bag.
I just picked up a backup of the Guelain Joli Teint in Clair/Light. I got paranoid after seeing some of the other shades sold out on Sephora. Plus, I couldn't remember if it was an LE product or just new and part of permanent line.
I'll let you get back to your R&R….
Hi Wendy!
Thank you so much…it is a breath of fresh air, indeed. The Sun Fabric is exceptional…so easy to apply and wear and the lasting power is great. Thrilled to hear that you are loving the Peau Vierge…I personally cannot get enough ; ) Enjoy your Guerlain Joli Teint…such a fabulous formula. I've been relying upon it heavily the last couple of days!

Hello Beauty Professor!
I caught a glimpse of your cover up in the seventh picture and would love to see more! From what I can see it looks adorable. I would love to know where I can purchase one! Hope you had a lovely vacation (:
Hello Nicole! Thanks for the question…I picked it up at Nordstrom a few months ago and, upon searching this morning, found a very similar version still available. I linked to it in the picture ; )
Hope that helps and happy weekend!

What are you using for sunscreen on an everyday basis. I noticed that Koh Gen Doh is no longer selling their sunscreen. I know that was your preferred product. Thank you.
Hello Sandra,
Thanks for the question…I just edited this post to include the sunscreen I've been using regularly. It is the Goldfaden MD Sun Visor SFP 30 Mist and I adore it as a natural sunscreen option. I was heartbroken when KGD discontinued their marvelous formula but this is a wonderful replacement because it is light, effective, can be worn under and over makeup without flashback or disruption of products and is natural, rather than chemical. I consider it to be quite a find and highly recommend it!
Hope that helps…xx,

Hi BP, what shade of Armani blush are you wearing. It's pictured but I don't see a reference to it. It's a lovely FOTD, love the lips and cheeks.
Hi Jo…I have no idea how I missed its inclusion in the post…that's what happens when you try to create blog posts at 2:30 in the morning, I guess ; )
At any rate, I have added the information in…it is the Armani Cheek Fabric in #503 Daybreak and it is a perfect peachy nude pink that looks extremely natural on the cheeks…super easy to wear and lasts all day!
I hope that helps…thanks for your sweet words!

Hi BP:) Was just wondering if you used any skincare products before applying the foundation? Usually you ALWAYS use the peau vierge 🙂
I was hoping you might provide a post on what products you might recommend for different outside activities; such as the pool or beach or a concert…
Oh BTW I ordered the By Terry CC in sunny flash, Jouer matte foundation, and the skindinvia primer spray:) Loving the PV powder!!! And am really interested in the Sun Fabric bronzer:)
Thanks 🙂 Hope you have a wonderful weekend:)!!!
((Hugs))
Shelly
Hello Shelly!
Yes…I did indeed apply a combination of the Peau Vierge #2 and a pump of the By Terry Cellularose CC Lumi-Serum in #01 for glow. I followed that with the Goldfaden Sun Visor SPF for protection…all are detailed in my latest video tutorial which just went live 10 minutes ago!
So excited that you ordered the By Terry, Jouer and Skindinavia…all are incredible choices and perfect for summer. Can't wait to hear your thoughts. Also thrilled that you are loving the PV powder…it is a summer must.
Thanks for your blog post suggestion…will get working on that ; )
xoxo and have a blessed Sunday!
