Above: The Tom Ford Beauty Summer 2011 collection consists of eight carefully-curated products that radiate a summertime glow!
The buzz surrounding the impending release of the Tom Ford Beauty Summer 2013 collection has been reverberating for a couple of months…any time this luxurious line decides to introduce new products, beauty lovers everywhere swoon.  I had chance to swatch everything in the collection this past weekend and am happy to be able to share said swatches…hopefully, this makes your selection/ordering process much easier!
Scroll on for swatches and product descriptions…
Above (clockwise from top left): Illuminating Cheek Color, Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust, Illuminating Cheek Color, Nail Lacquer, Cream Color for Eyes  in Escapade, Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust, Cream Color for eyes in Pink Haze, Skin Illuminator in Fire Lust.
2013 Collection:
  • Skin Illuminator in Fire Lust, a shimmering peach-pink that can be worn on its own to highlight or mixed with foundation to create a glowy finish…$65
  • Illuminating Cheek Color in Blush Guilt (a natural pale pinky beige radiant glow) and Bronzed Amber (a warm medium bronze with shimmer)…$58
  • Cream Color for Eyes in Escapade (a warm pale golden peach) and Pink Haze (a peachy pink with golden pearl shimmer)…$40
  • Bronzing Powder in Gold Dust (a medium true bronze with a complex yet subtle multidimensional shimmer)…$90
  • Nail Lacquer in Vapor (a semi-opaque bright pearlescent white)…$30
  • Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust (a sheer peachy pink with golden pearl shimmer), it must be noted that this is moisturizing and not the slightest bit sticky…$30

Above and below: Swatches of the Tom Ford Summer 2013 Collection in medium sunlight and outdoor shade.

Above: One last view of the shades in intense sunlight!

Above: Nail Lacquer in Vapor…this pearly white shade is clean and fool-proof–even if it chips, it is not obvious due to its light and glowing color.  I cannot even begin to imagine how marvelous this will look with a light tan!
Above: Me wearing the Tom Ford Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust (over a sheer swipe of Dolce and Gabbana Natural Monica lip color).
Bottom Line: This collection is stunning and completely apropos for the impending summer months.  The radiant, peachy pinks of the products are flattering on nearly every skin tone and, despite their warmth, could feasibly be worn year round to achieve a believably gorgeous glow.  I personally picked up the Lip Lacquer in Pink Lust and Nail Lacquer in Vapor and will be posting a comprehensive close up review of these two gems (with more details swatches and face images) later on this week!
What do YOU think of the Tom Ford Beauty Summer 2013 products?  Will you be picking up anything from this collection?

xoxo,

I am loving this collection. I just received Escapade and it's gorgeous as a wash. With a little bit of mascara and liner it really brightens up my eyes. I also ordered Fire Lust and Pink Haze and I'm just waiting for them to arrive. 🙂

Did you find the blush sticks really creamy? Like too creamy for combo skin? Also do you think the Bronzed Amber stick is too dark for someone pale? The pink blush didn't interest me much because I'm getting Fire Lust but I'm now curious.about the bronze color. Thanks so much for the swatches! I'm looking forward to your more in-depth review on Pink Lust.

      Hi Dawn,

Escapade is gorgeous and I can see it working really well as a wash of color on the eye…wonderful! I found the blush sticks to feel similar to the Traceless Foundation Stick (which is indeed creamy); cream blushes in general do not wear well on my combination skin so I usually embrace powders. Also, the Bronzed Amber is fairly deep…I think that if it is applied in moderation, almost like a contour, it should work for fair skin, but I would be careful with over applying! Enjoy the Fire Lust…they were almost completely sold out at the TF counter where I did my swatching; it's a hot commodity!

      Hi Arielle,

Good to hear from you! Yes, these shades are all in the pink-bronze family (it makes me think of all things rose gold) and so perfect for summertime. Thanks for your sweet compliment about my swatches!

what can you recommend more, if to choose between fire lust and blush guilt. which produce of these 2 is better and worth buying?

Hi Saidah…thanks for your question. I didn't get either (I have many similar products), but if I did, I would have purchased the Fire Lust because it can be used alone as a highlighter or mixed into foundation to add a more subtle glow!

      Hope that helps…xoxo,
