Sephora Haul: Charlotte Tilbury The Icon Palette + New Nude Lips Aplenty

Late last week, I made an impromptu stop at Sephora for one thing (a Beauty Blender) and left with a few more things that I am excited to share in this post. From eyes to lips, I found an array of intriguing procurements…sometimes it’s the things you’re not looking for that are the most fascinating!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of my picks in action as well as Style Notes, a few sales I’m currently shopping and the Bottom Line…

Introducing the Charlotte Tilbury The Icon Palette (also available at Sephora)
Transfixed by the twelve luminous satin shades, I was fairly certain I’d be taking the limited edition Charlotte Tilbury The Icon Palette (also available at Sephora) home once I swatched the first few. I am the person who uses that one satin/shimmer shade the most in a palette so to see a palette with a homogenous glowing finish option was thrilling.
Inspired by iconic individuals that Charlotte herself has spent time with, these buttery and incandescent powders with impressive color payoff can also be used on the cheeks and lips, further extending the allure of this particular palette.
The colors are fresh, flattering and beautiful and wear like dream…extreme blendability with no creasing or fallout worn. I’ve found myself wearing it everyday since picking it up (it truly does have day and night appeal) and, if you like satin (not glitter!) finish shades as I do, then I imagine that you will be equally smitten with this launch.

Nude lip picks.
Never one to be able to resist a nude pink pout, I also picked up four lip products that each deliver a unique wash of neutral color that works for day and night alike.

Nude Lipsticks

(1) Marc Jacobs Poutliner Longwear Lip Liner Pencil in Cream & Sugar (also available at Neiman Marcus):

This quintessential nude lip liner in an epic blend of pink and nude beige is creamy, pigmented, long lasting and retractable. Its neutrality allows it to be worn with any lip color in one’s collection and it is for these reasons that I have a feeling this will be a permanent member of my makeup bag.

(2) Lancome L’Absolu Gloss #213 Atelier Parisien (also available at Neiman Marcus):

Implicitly answering the question, “can one ever have too many baby pink lip glosses?” (NO!), this plush formula features a moderately shiny cloak of rose color for an ultra natural look that matches everything.

(3) Charlotte Tilbury Latex Love Long-Lasting Lip Gloss (also available at Charlotte Tilbury) in Belle du Soir (a light peachy nude beige) and Cannes Tropez (a medium pinky peach nude):

This new gloss formula has been on my radar for awhile and I was delighted to discover them in Sephora, where I could readily swatch them (keep scrolling for swatches of all shades) and choose my favorites. Intensely pigmented with insane color payoff, these glosses feel lush and moisturizing for hours on end, yielding shine and a volumizing effect that is sublime.
The fragrance and subsequent flavor might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I don’t find it cloying or offensive whatsoever…the gloss is sticky (in the best possible ways) and consequently stays in place so I don’t find myself tasting it. Both colors (worn as a mix in the images at the end of this post) are gorgeous and look killer over a touch of lip liner. Belle du Soir is extremely versatile and I love it over traditional lipstick to create an extra full pout…very pleased with this impulse purchase!

Beauty Blender Nude from the Sephora haul
Beauty Blender Nude
Essentially the only way that I apply my foundation, I also picked up another Beauty Blender Nude. I can use it with every member of my vast foundation rotation. I appreciate the nude version as it (unlike the original pink sponge) doesn’t let out any dye when it gets washed. So well worth it!
