With summer rapidly coming to a close and New York Fashion Week less than a month away, one cannot help but anticipate the beauty trends for fall. It seems that haute couture spellbindingly invites everything from over the top hairstyles to gold leaf embellishments and, while the creativity strategy should be lauded, it may not work in our everyday lives. Amidst the avant-garde looks and experimental visages, I predict that clean, glowing beauty with a dash of unexpected color will be a prominent trend for Fall 2015 as it is universally flattering and easy to achieve.
To create this Fall 2015 look, I found everything–11 products to be exact–I needed in the beauty section at
Walgreens…with great skincare from
Boots No. 7 and Botanics and brilliant color options from
Circa and Colour Prevails, the options are endless. Although Beauty Professor often highlights the high-end and difficult to procure, I also love being able to share affordable and accessible beauty options that truly perform!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…

SKIN:
In order to encourage a “glow from within,” I prepped my skin with the No. 7 Protect and Perfect Advanced Serum. This velvety formula smooths pores and adds radiance the instant it is applied. I followed with a layer of the Botanics Radiance Balm for a wash of skin-evening luminosity and ran a touch of the Botanics Triple Age Renewal Facial Oil along the high points of my face (and brows!) for a subtle, healthy-looking gleam.

COMPLEXION:
Once my skin was moisturized and dewy, I added dimension with the No. 7 Perfectly Bronzed Mosaic Bronzer. This stunning, finely-milled and highly-pigmented powder features five shades of tan, bronze, pink and rose to create a customized warmth that makes sculpting a breeze. I then blended the Botanics Radiance Highlighting Pen along my under eye region to banish darkness; the creamy formula is surprisingly opaque and brightens the orbital area beautifully.

EYES:
Now that clean and glowing skin is a reality, it’s time to move on to the eyes. I covered my entire lid with the Circa Color Saturated Eye Crayon in Sparkling Citrine to create a luminous champagne base. The formula is smooth and defies creasing for hours! I followed with the Nonie Creme Colour Prevails Eye Shimmer Powder in Emerald for that unexpected dash of color. Equal parts pigmented and radiant, this gossamer-light shadow delivers the perfect amount of edginess for a modern result. To finish the look, I used the Circa Vivid Vinyl Eye Lining Fluid in Vibrant Emerald (an excellent tonal complement to the Emerald powder, I might add) to craft a thin winged effect on the upper lid. Two coats of the jet-black, richly volumizing No. 7 Lash Impact Mascara and the eyes, undoubtedly, became the central focus.

LIPS + TIPS:
To further riff of the unexpected dash of color element, I selected the bold coral red ESSIE nail polish in Como Here! and a chic pink lipgloss by Circa. Although the Satin Blush shade looks bright in a swatch, it lends a sheer and sophisticated sheen on the lips that, in this case, doesn’t compete with the impact of the eyes.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this Fall 2015 beauty discussion; the arrival of New York Fashion week will bring many trends–many of which will come and go–but I will forever be an advocate for the timeless beauty of
clean, glowing skin and an unexpected dash of color. I had a blast working with the lovely
Walgreens beauty products in this story and candidly recommend them as accessible and affordable ways for you to experiment with your own beauty trends!
What are some of YOUR Fall 2015 beauty trend predictions?
Good things ahead, I promise…xx,

I like the idea of checking out your local drugstore to find beauty products. Who hasn't had to run in for something else and browsed around the cosmetics section. A great look! -Debi
So glad to hear that, Debi! Sometimes, one can find some true gems at the drugstore!
Thanks for your feedback on this post…XOXO,

Thank you for this post of affordable beauty products. I love Circa's Eye crayon, have it in two colors.. They also have a really good cream blush. The Walgreen's by me has TESTERS for Nonie's! Couldn't believe it. Another brand with some nice products is Flower Beauty at Wal-Mart by Drew Barrymore.
My pleasure, Traci! I so appreciate you sharing some of your drugstore favorites!
Hope your week is off to a marvelous start…xx,

Glad you posted some Boots skin care — their Botanics All Bright line is underrated. If your local Walgreens or Target carries it, you should try the Boots Botanics All Bright Micellar Water because it's surprisingly effective at removing even waterproof makeup. Boots also has one of the few drugstore toners that is truly alcohol free. It's part of their sensitive skin line, and unlike the overwhelming majority of toners that claim to be alcohol free, it doesn't have witch hazel. The process that removes the skin irritant tannin from witch hazel involves using LOTS of the skin-drying denatured alcohol, not the skin-moisturizing fatty alcohols.
Thanks for the feedback, TM! Yes, the Boots Botanics line is impressive, indeed. I appreciate the tip and helpful details on the All Bright collection ; )
Hope all is well…XO,
