Rouge Bunny Rouge is one of my favorite independent beauty brands…from whimsical packaging to pigment-rich color, this line has it all. I wanted to share an up close and personal view of the brand’s lovely highlighting and illuminator options. As the images indicate, Sweet to Touch and Goddess are in powder form, while Sea of Showers and Sea of Tranquility are liquid based.
1. Sweet to Touch is a iridescent pink and probably the most subtle effect of all four options.
2. Goddess is a tawny, apricot bronze with gold shimmer, perfect for light, medium and dark complexions.
3. Sea of Showers is a honey bronze with slightly rosy undertones…this is a very high sheen product!
4. Sea of Tranquility is a white-based opalescent glow with pink, gold and white pearlescence. This is closest in tone and glow to Edward Bess All Over Seduction in Sunlight.

I have both of the liquid highlighters and really love them. I use them in a c-shape around the eyes and top of cheekbones, avoiding the bridge of the nose. Sea of Showers is great for summer, and I will use Sea of Tranquility when my skin is less tan. These are great layered over BB cream for a little more definition. I have tried SofT mixed with my foundation, but it was too glowy– think I used too much. Perhaps with a little less mixed in, I could get that "lit from within" look.

Thank you for your tips regarding these highlighters! It is great for readers to know that both of the liquid shades work for most skin tones and can be selected based on the season. I agree that adding a bit of luminizer over BB cream (you use the 3Lab, right?) helps to eliminate flatness. It can be completely transformational for foundation! I,too, don't like mixing luminizer and foundation prior to application because it changes the texture (and sometimes even the staying power) of the foundation…much better to layer ; )
