Guerlain Cils D’Enfer MaxiLash Mascara…A Heavenly Result!

Above: I love the soft gold square casing of the Guerlain Cils D’Enfer Maxilash Mascara.
I wear mascara most every day (except for the rare weekends when I am around the house all day…whose with me?!).  In turn, I look for mascara that adds exceptional volume and length, doesn’t clump or smudge and lasts until I choose to remove it…is that too much to ask?
Since its debut in late December 2012, I’ve found myself reaching for it multiple times a week!

Above: Noir 01 is a deep and glossy jet black.
Above: The brush for this mascara is medium-sized (smaller/thinner than the Rouge Bunny Rouge Megaplumes and larger /wider than Guerlain Le 2)
Retailing for $30, this mascara boasts a beautiful soft gold square case and a medium-sized brush that dispenses the rich mascara formula evenly and in a clump-free manner.  Like most Guerlain products, this mascara has a violet floral scent that dissipates quickly…thankfully, it has in no way irritated my sensitive, contact lens wearing eyes!
I generally apply two to three coats for maximum impact and find that it lasts the entire day without fallout or smudging…in the interim, my lashes are full and dark, yet remarkably flexible.  This removes easily with soap and water or eye makeup remover.
Scroll on for images of MaxiLash on the eyes and the Bottom Line…
Above: A picture is worth a thousand words…on the left eye…two coats of Guerlain MaxiLash, on the right eye, no mascara whatsoever.

Above and below: This mascara dramatically increases volume and length with two coats!

Above: This makes my lashes so long that they nearly touch my eyebrows!

Above: The full picture…MaxiLash truly lives up to its name!

Bottom Line: When I am in a hurry and can only apply two coats quickly, the Guerlain Cils D’Enfer MaxiLash is what I find myself reaching for most.  Its medium-sized brush deposits the formula quickly and effortlessly and the length and volume I get from a few concerted seconds on each eye is significant! I adore the case (which feels a tad shorter than most mascara packaging) because it is gorgeous and nestles into my cosmetics bag with ease.  Eyelashes from hell?  I think not!  I prefer to believe that this yields heavenly eyelashes instead ; ) Overall, this is a gorgeous mascara option for one in search of dark, lush and dangerously long lashes!

I am SO jealous of your lashes–they're so full and long! And YOU ACTUALLY HAVE BOTTOM LASHES!! hahah mine are so puny and sparse–I literally only have about 5 bottom lashes on each eye 😛 This seems like a nice mascara but I've tried sooo many–high and low end–and the one that seems to work best for my thin lashes is CoverGirl's Lash Blast Volume. I've tried good high-end ones but in the end, the results I get aren't necessarily better than the CG so I just stick with it

      Hello Becca!

You are too kind…I can take no credit for my lashes…I have good hair genes from my parents ; ) Good to know you've found joy with CV Lash Blast Volume; it is always refreshing to get favorable results from an affordable producT

Great, was hesitating about getting it but i'll definitely try it!
By the way, "cils d'enfer" does translate into "lashes from hell" it's also an expression to say "awesome lashes"

How would you compare this with kevyn Aucoin The essential mascara?

This gives longer lashes than the KA and also, the KA is a tubing mascara while the Guerlain is not ; )

    Hope that helps!
