In Pursuit of Youth…Sun-Drenched Favorites from L’Occitane

L’Occitane’s Divine Collection.
Synonymous with effortless French luxury, L’Occitane’s Immortelle Divine Collection combines cutting-edge, anti-aging skincare formulas with the blithe spirt of a sun-drenched day.  Today’s post is dedicated to my favorite products in this gilded range–from double-cleansing to opulent hydration skin is a mere five steps from a more youthful appearance.
Kindly scroll on for more details, beauty elements and images of the products in action as well as the Bottom Line…

The five products from the L’Occitane’s Immortelle Divine Collection that I’ll be sharing today work beautifully as routine, implemented in a chronological order for maximum efficacy. With the formidable Immortelle Oil at the core of each formulation, pursuing youth is a viable endeavor:
(1) *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cleansing Balm: Nearly solid in the jar, this innovative formula softens with touch, morphing into a balm-oil that deeply removes the most stalwart of makeup without stripping skin. Essential oils, including Immortelle (known as the “everlasting flower”) up the anti-aging ante and skin feels fresh and balanced in the process. I use a soft, slightly warm and damp cloth to buff away the cleanser.
(2) *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Foaming Cleansing Cream: To adequately double cleanse, a dose of this creamy formula–which transforms into a nourishing foam upon contact with water–takes my skin to the next level, smoothing, calming and revitalizing my canvas while gently banishing every last impurity from deep in my pores.
(3) *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Oil: Next, I apply a few drops of this luxurious oil (oils and serums before cream, always!) to plump away fine lines while imparting a flattering glow. This oil can also be used throughout the day as the most natural of highlighters…simply press a drop or two along the high points of the face for lit-from-within radiance!
(4) *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream: Best-selling and award-winning, this lush cream is the next step in my routine; a dime-sized amount smoothed over skin delivers a potent does of Immortelle oil along with seven active ingredients to invite skin to turn back the years. The lightweight formula absorbs quickly while a softly perfected and dewy effect remains, making it an excellent precursor to makeup application.
(5) *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Eyes: Finally, I use my ring fingers to gently pat this restorative formula into the delicate orbital area. The weightless gel does everything one hopes for in an eye product. Smoothes fine lines…check. Brightens dark circles and reduces puffiness…double check. It’s a veritable anti-aging elixir for the windows to your soul!

The full face.
// The Full Face // To resonate with the sun-drenched energy of L’Occitane, upon cleansing, I applied:
  • A couple of drops of the *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Oil to instantly hydrate skin and plump fine lines.
  • A dime-sized amount *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Cream for additional moisture and a smooth, balanced canvas.
  • The Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Aqua Nude Foundation in O3W: In a water-light texture, this new foundation creates light to medium coverage with a skin finish that keeps skin looking natural yet subtly perfected. Those seeking the most weightless base formula will love this launch as it truly feels like water, albeit with decent coverage. O3W is a befitting match for N/NC 25-27 skin tones.
  • *Hourglass Ambient Bronzer in Luminous Bronze Light (reviewed HERE): Swept in the hollows of the cheek bones and along the perimeters of the face (don’t forget the jaw bone!), this bronzer creates velvety depth and dimension for the face.
  • *Lise Watier Havana Trio Glow: To further sculpt the face and enhance features, this triad of powders adds warmth (in the form of light bronzer), flush (with a stunning coral blush) and illumination (with a pearly champagne highlighter); it’s super pretty and utilitarian!
  • *Smith & Cult Book of Eyes Song for Fields: The very special bone nude, shimmering silvery grey, luminous golden bronze and decadent peacock green quartet of hues work together to convey a modern take on traditional “fall” shades…it’s just a pretty on the eyes as it is in the palette.
  • *By Terry Stylo Blackstar in Copper Crush (reviewed HERE): I applied a touch of this along my lower lash line for additional “pop” and adore the fact that this formula does not budge.
  • *Givenchy Base Mascara Perfecto (reviewed HERE): Like shape wear for one’s lashes, this primer truly adds length and volume to fringe, thereby maximizing the performance of mascara.
  • Rouge Dior Double Rouge Matte Metal Lipstick in Vibrant Nude: When it first launched, I searched high and low for this glorious peachy nude beige which yields the perfect amount of color despite being on the pale side.
  • Guerlain Kiss Kiss Matte Lipstick in Caliente Beige: A deeper nude with a hydrating suede finish, this is a quintessential “fall” lip and the matte golden case looks so chic, no?
  • *Kaplan MD Perfect Pout Lipstick in Santa Monica: A tender nude beige with plumping potential and a soft minty finish, this lipstick is equal parts treatment and color…brilliant!
  • *Clarins Instant Light Lip Comfort Oil in Honey: Nourishing oils meet a plush and shiny texture for a kiss of moisturize with a delightful essence of honey.
  • *Heliocare: This antioxidant supplement helps protect skin from harmful free-radicals and even UV rays. Although it should not be used as a replacement for daily sunscreen, Heliocare can contribute to a more youthful visage overall.
  • *Acqua Di Parma Colonia Pura: As mood-lifting as brisk and bright day, this classic fragrance emanates notes of bergamot, jasmine and cedarwood for a fresh yet sultry take on timeless.

Style notes.
// STYLE NOTES //
  • Topshop Corset Button Slipdress: In the most cheerful marigold hue, this dress has beautiful lines and a timeless appeal. Note that it does run small, so order at least 2 sizes large than your normal size.
  • Zella Live-In High Waist Leggings: An easy and modern way take late-summer dresses into fall; I have two identical pairs on heavy rotation.
  • Adidas Stan Smith Bold Platform Sneaker: I love wearing these shoes with dresses as they are so comfortable while adding a relaxed touch to a potentially dressy look. If you read my blog frequently, then you know that I wear these a lot.

Bottom Line: I hope you enjoyed this golden glimpse at some of my L’Occitane’s Immortelle Divine Collection staples and would love to know what your L’Occitane favorites might be…do tell!

Although I focused on five in this story, if I had to recommend one as a starting point, it would be the *L’Occitane Immortelle Divine Youth Oil as it’s rife with anti-aging properties, the power to moisturize and it creates the most resplendent glow.

Good things ahead, including a fresh video and a host of new product procurements,
xx
