Summer is around the corner, making it the perfect time to refresh your products for the warmer months. Consequently, I have an array of tried and true and brand new suggestions for skincare and makeup that will leave your skin glowing. Also, the Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale has just begun so I’ll share some key recommendations at the end of this story!
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of everything in action as well as the Bottom Line…
Spring to Summer Product Refresh Featuring La Mer, Sisley-Paris, Charlotte Tilbury and Nordstrom Half-Yearly Sale Suggestions
//SKINCARE Etc. //
For skincare, start with a cleansing system that is equal parts gentle and effective. I love the Agent Nateur Cleansing Face Oil to remove every last trace of dirt and makeup without stripping followed by the Agent Nateur Acid Cleanse, which harnesses the power of Lactic Acid to refine and resurface skin with every wash. The pairing helps to balance my skin while leaving it super fresh and radiant. Next, I recommend a skincare-infused silky primer to smooth pores and lock in foundation and this luxurious *Sisley-Paris Double Tenseur checks all the boxes!
The lush formula glides over skin, leaving it luminous and firm and foundation seems to love it, flawlessly adhering without creasing, even in warm weather. For eyes, the *BIOEFFECT Eye Serum boasts a unique rollerball to expertly apply the hydrating, anti-aging, de-puffing serum to the delicate orbital area; skin appears brighter and more lifted and the genius dispensing system is so travel friendly. More on my BIOEFFECT favorites coming up on BP soon! Bathe your lips in decadent moisture with the new *Kypris Lip Elixir. Buttery and glossy with an optimal staying power, this hyaluronic acid and peptide-rich balm has a sophisticated violet and jasmine aroma to calm the senses. Every time I use this, my lips feel pillowy and full. Recently, I reordered yet another round of Maison Francis Kurkdjian Baccarat Rouge 540, this time in 3 travel vials which make excellent handbag companions.
This is still my favorite fragrance of life and every single time I wear it, someone shares a compliment…I’m not exaggerating in the slightest. Finally, for instantly bronzed skin, I wholly recommend the lightweight *Vita Liberata Tanning Mist. This oil-free formula has little to no fragrance (rare in a self-tanner), dries in 2 minutes and immediately imparts a burnished wash of color that develops into a more permanent self-tanning situation in a few hours. It can be used daily and is just so very effortless!

I’ve been using the brilliant new *Sisley-Paris Ombre Eclat Liquide shadows for the past month and am so enchanted by their lightweight texture and (once set) budge-proof wear time. The glowing neutral shades provide a gorgeous wash of color that can be layered for a luminous pearl finish that doesn’t crease or migrate, making them an absolutely effortless summertime eye. The doe-foot applicator allows for precise application and I use either a small brush or my finger tips to lightly tap the cream into place. In terms of the hues, it’s hard to choose a favorite as all six shades are extremely flattering but I find myself using a mix of #3 (a golden pink) and #4 (a warm coral) most of all. If you’re looking to pare down your makeup bag and routine, trust that these eye shadows will brilliantly fulfill this objective!
//FACE + BASE //
I originally purchased the La Mer The Luminous Lifting Cushion Foundation a few years ago and, although I liked it, the shade match wasn’t quite right. Fast forward to earlier this month and I finally found the perfect hue for my medium olive skin: Beige Nude.
The foundation itself is lightweight and rife with skincare benefits; it provides instant medium to full coverage and a natural-to-radiant finish that continues to look better as the day goes on. It might not get a lot of press in the beauty world but trust me when I say, if you can find your shade, I venture to say you will LOVE it, especially for the warmer months.
I recently rediscovered the high-coverage Tom Ford Shade & Illuminate Concealer in Sand (swatches of all shades HERE) in my stash and am currently captivated by its creamy wear. Just the tiniest dot in my under eye region takes care of business without creasing and this single tube will last me forever.
For cheeks, the new *Jane Iredale PurePressed Powder Blush in Sheer Honey and Clearly Pink are incredible! Finely milled and talc-free (rare in a high-performance blush) this formula is extremely silky, buildable and blendable; I like using the warm tan Sheer Honey as a bronzer and the cool baby pink Clearly Pink (a great clean dupe for the cult Dior pink blush) on the apples of my cheeks and I added a touch of radiant depth via the *Charlotte Tilbury Lip & Cheek Glow Cream Blush in Colors of Passion, which is a neutral plummy red that can be worn on both cheeks and lips. To finish the complexion, I swept the Tom Ford Skin Illuminating Powder Duo in Moodlight on the high points of my face…this compact ever disappoints! The mix of neutral tan and pearl champagne powders is a veritable filter for the skin.
// LIPS Etc. //
To finish my eye look, I’ve been reaching for the MAC Tinted Brow Gel in Brunette, which adds color and fluffy, feathery hold and the inimitable *Sisley-Paris Phyto-Kohl Star Matte Eyeliner in Peacock (all shades swatched and reviewed HERE), a rich and vibrant blue that stays in place while making the waterline pop!
For lips, I recommend a lush neutral mix including the creamy Chantecaille Lip Veil in Honeypot (a peachy pink nude), the xx Byredo Feverish Lipstick, a pearlescent, shimmering warm pink (so good, I picked up two backups) and the lilac pink xx Tom Ford Love Lust Lipgloss (so intriguing and very flattering), which isn’t new but well worth the pursuit. Play with the proportions on all three and you’ll create a bespoke pink with plenty of depth and velvety texture and shine.

// STYLE NOTES //
I’ve been a style creature of habit since my college days…a black top, jeans and neutral footwear can take you through most moments and this particular outfit (including a diamond tennis necklace at an affordable price point) has been on heavy rotation as of late. The Corset Top is having a moment and I’ve been picking them up like crazy…some of the one’s I’ve bought and love are HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
For jeans, I’ve been waring a lot of the AGOLDE Fen Jeans, which have incredible reviews. The higher waist looks fabulous with a cropped top. The straight leg is punctuated by a slightly tapered leg that flatters an array of body types. They run TTS (I’m wearing a 26 here) and are soft while holding their shape all day. Get these jeans…you won’t regret it.
Finally, I love a beige pump because they elongate the leg and match everything…although the pair that I am wearing is older, I found some similar options HERE, HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.

Vans High Top Sneakers
Always a hightop devotee, I think I’m ready to give this classic style a try.

These are playful and in the perfect color.
Longchamp Mini Le Pliage Leather
I love a beige purse and this version is equal parts style and substance.
Alexander McQueen Slides
The dad sandal trend is one off my day-to-day footwear favorites. It doesn’t seem to be going anywhere and this yellow pair would be a fun wardrobe edition.
