The *Burberry Lip & Cheek Blooms (also available at Burberry) have arrived and I am delighted to offer a focused glimpse of three stunning shades (there are six in total) in this divine formula!  Bouncy, blendable and endlessly versatile, these gorgeous gems are summertime incarnate.
Kindly scroll on for more details, swatches and images of the Burberry Lip & Cheek Blooms in action…

As the name implies, Burberry Lip & Cheek Bloom is a convertable and customizable color, designed to be worn on both the cheeks and the lips.   After experimenting with them for a couple of days, here are my initial findings:
  • The formula is bouncy, silky, slightly mousse-like and inordinately whisper light, thereby blending into the skin seamlessly for a “flush from within” effect
  • They are tremendously buildable…at the start, they apply sheer for a gossamer veil of color but they can be built up to significant intensity while still looking transparent and extremely natural
  • They contain absolutely no shimmer and leave a soft matte (though somehow luminous) finish on the skin; the velvet texture adds a subtle hydration to the canvas and, consequently, works well with all skin types
  • Fantastic for individuals at all stages of their “makeup game,” their sheerness allows them to be mistake-proof enough for beginners and the buildable texture makes them potent enough for beauty pros
  • The lasting power is marvelous…I got 4-5 hours of touch-up free wear, even in heat and direct sunlight
  • All in all, the Burberry Lip & Cheek Blooms are a spring and summer beauty MUST!

Good to hear these are good 🙂 I have Peony in my cart and I was wondering if I should get it or not cause I couldn't find any swatches online. The shades that you got are all beautiful and something that I would wear.

Wow… the Lip & Cheek Blooms look so pigmented! I'm glad Burberry chose to make a product so pigmented in a blendable cream form, and the lengthy staying power you mentioned definitely piqued my interest. I don't often buy cheek products apart from contour because I rarely find products that offer vivid pigmentation, blendability, and longevity for a "fresh flush"- rather than "drunk clown"- look. (Regarding the latter, in reality I'm less "Tequila" and more "Mockingbird" on a daily basis. :p )

They are pigmented but buildable so you can control the effect…so good! I love your "drunk clown" description…totally feel that way when blush gets crazy ; )

Hope your weekend is going well…xoxo, my friend!

I am loving the Pale Grape liner with the Nude shadow! I have been using purple liners a lot this spring. The blushes are gorgeous. And you look fabulous as always 🙂

Hey BP, how do you think these compare to the By Terry Cellularose Blush Glace? Thanks for the review and pretty pix!

      Hi Kate!

Texturally, these feel very different than the By Terry….the Burberry is bouncy and bit mousse like and the By Terry feels more like a cream-meets-gel! Thanks for the kind words!
