15 Things to Pick Up During the Beautylish Gift Card Event
Ever on a search for the next eye cream to combat the dark circles and puffiness that result from perpetually late nights behind my computer? I was instantly intrigued by this new formula. Iits infused with caffeine and Swiss Wine Essence. This innovative serum noticeably tightens and brightens with each application and the cooling tip is next-level refreshing. Also, the packaging is so convenient that I’ve been tossing it in my handbag for mid-day touch ups.
A modern cult classic, this nourishing serum imparts a radiant bronzy wash of color that makes skin look healthy and alive, which is ever more essential as the cooler months march on. Try it as a standalone base for a sheer glow, or under or over foundation to gently sculpt and add warmth.
I’ve heard such great things about this foundation over the years (it’s a professional makeup artist staple) and recently gave it a spin in two shades (Tantone is my current match, and worn in the images at the end of this post). It’s creamy, buildable and provides a natural skin finish that resists creasing while lasting the day. It comes in a wide range of hues to match a spectrum of skin tones and is remarkably affordable for such a high-performance formula.
I haven’t wanted a new Tom Ford eyeshadow quad in quite awhile, but the new Soleil Neige changed all that! Within the opulent white and gold packaging is four soft and neutral shades–light sand, pale taupe, ultra radiant beige and warm bronze rose–with rich color payoff. This may be one of these rare palettes where I wear all four shades equally as the combination creates a multidimensional eye that is equal parts modern and timeless.
From its opalescent overspray to the creamy pinky nude wash of color underneath, this tender, intensely moisturizing lip color is resplendent. I’m already contemplating a back up!
We’ve been waiting for this brand new, full face palette from Hourglass because it has rich and intense hues for medium, tan and deep skin tones! All five shades are pigmented and velvety smooth for a canvas that has been sculpted, flushed, highlighted and finished to pore-free perfection.
An equally exquisite palette of shades for fair, light and light-medium skin tones, this pentad masterfully takes care of business, making it an ideal gift for others and, perhaps, yourself.
Forever on my face, I have purchased at least five of these palettes over the years. The mix of soft rose gold and true gold tones, both in a pearly, incandescent formula that makes skin look lit-from-within, is endlessly versatile and ever so flattering. I have approximately 1726345 highlighters but this, by far, is the one I reach for most of all.
This creamy, moisturizing and radiant formulation feels so plush on the lips and Gemmy Satin, in particular, is a soft 1960s peachy pink that evokes a quiet yet confident sophistication (worn in the images at the end of this post). Also, please note that the case that tops the lipstick (which can be customized) is separate! I chose the peach one, naturally.
I adore the Sisley-Paris lip twists; deeply hydrating with a significant wash of shiny color that lasts, they are well worth the pursuit and investment as, to this day, I’ve still tried nothing quite like them. The medium pink Baby is a timeless tone and I also recommend the peachy beige Litchi and rich rosy brown Nut (especially lovely for fall).
(11) *Anastasia Brow Freeze
A forever fan of full, feathery and natural brows, I’ve had my eye on the oft-sold out *Anastasia Brow Freeze and for months and am glad to finally have it in my hands. Crystal clear with impressive lasting power, this gel (which I used in tandem with the Anastasia Brow Freeze Applicator), adds shine, texture, volume and a feathery hold to brows for a laminated look in seconds.
Featuring nine satin finish warm neutral shades embossed with icons of Paris (ahh, Paris, how I miss thee), this is the BY TERRY palette of my dreams. Each of the finely milled shadows possesses buttery color payoff and they all add a luminous glow without the slightest hint of glitter. Tres chic!
Permanent residents of the Beauty Professor site since its inception, these creamy eyeshadow sticks offer insane color payoff that, once set, doesn’t budge. I suggest the luminous champagne Frozen Quartz, bronzy-meets-taupe Bronze Moon (have gone through at least 7 of this shade over the years) and rosy mauve Misty Rock.
(14) *T3 Hot Rollers
I got these rollers a year ago and use them every single week. They add volume and curls without intense heat and the velvet flocking ensures that they won’t get tangled in your hair. They are by far most most used hair styling product and there’s truly nothing better.
These cruelty-free, vegan brushes feature gorgeously weighty orange handles (very Hermes-esque). These are ultra soft synthetic bristles that blend powder products with great prowess.
The following images reflect my selections in action…
// STYLE NOTES // Neutrals abound for cool mornings and warm afternoons of autumn in California.
- Black cropped cami: This is one of the most comfortable half tops I’ve encountered. It pairs well with workout shorts or under a blazer (see below) alike. It comes in a wide array of colors.
- Faux leather shorts: Timeless and chic, these can be dressed up or down, making them wardrobe workhorse.
- Chloe sandals: I got these last week as an anniversary present and absolutely adore them. The wavy platform is remarkably sturdy. This plush pair (in the most gorgeous green leather, I might add) have required zero break-in time.
- Zuma sweater set: I love the oversized button-down in this set (it comes in a host of colors, by the way) as it works in so many ways and the top and shorts together–a lush cotton linen blend–is only $88.
- Textured beige blazer: To step things up, a neutral beige blazer is a must and the gold button styling on this particular version is a 1960s dream.
